"I really enjoyed my stay at Noosa FlashPackers. The location is great, and the hostel has a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The small pool is a lovely addition for relaxing after a long day. I stayed in a 4-bed dorm, and having the shower and toilet inside the room (en-suite) was a huge plus. They also offer a really handy shuttle service and organize different activities, which definitely added a lot of value to the stay. On the downside, the breakfast provided is very basic and feels quite incomplete. Also, if you need to get things done online, keep in mind that the Wi-Fi is not the fastest. Overall, it's a fantastic spot to meet people and enjoy Noosa, despite a couple of minor flaws."

"The resort is very centrally located, which has its good and bad points. Good is that it’s very close to restaurants and the Magnetic Island ferry terminal. Bad that the boy racers were out each night with their very noisy cars shooting past the front of the hotel- our room faced the harbour, which meant we had disturbed sleep."

"As a four-star hotel, it largely meets the four-star standard. It's a high-traffic hotel, but the service in all aspects is quick, and they also offer personalized service. It's part of The Star group, so the hotel's location is integrated with The Star complex, and the buildings are all interconnected. I noted in advance that we were celebrating my child's birthday, and they prepared a greeting card and a toy bear, which made my child very happy. In the evening, my child had a cough and was a bit sick, throwing up on the bed. Housekeeping quickly brought new bedding without a single complaint or extra cleaning fee, and they were very caring towards my child. The only minor drawback might be the parking. It's a bit roundabout; you have to go to The Star's car park and follow the instructions carefully. However, the hotel sent parking instructions a day or two before check-in, which was very helpful."

"We arrived after office hours and appreciated that the check-in process was straightforward and easy to follow. However, the park's location is a bit far from supermarkets and major attractions, which made getting around less convenient for us. The facilities are mostly shared and not quite suitable for our needs. Unfortunately, all better-equipped units were fully booked, so we couldn't upgrade. We also found the Wi-Fi signal in the room to be quite weak. Due to these factors, we decided to cut our stay short and checked out after just one night."

Every classic room also features a balcony, which overlooks the pool and courtyard with views of the city and ocean glimpses. Looking to elevate your stay to the next level? Introducing our brand new Deluxe and Superior Rooms, which include a mini fridge, larger balconies ensuites, luxe feather pillows, in-room LED TVs with streaming services, room service, direct access to onsite bars, bistro and pool tables, and more!

"The bunk beds are designed head-to-toe, so you don't disturb each other, and there are outlets and bedside lamps, which is really practical. The four-person female dorm has its own private bathroom, which is convenient, and everyone is considerate and keeps it pretty clean. The kitchen hygiene is quite poor; the sink is often disgustingly clogged. There isn't a single good non-stick pan; everything sticks terribly, a far cry from industry standards. The location is great, right near Surfers Paradise, with big and small supermarkets and plenty of restaurants nearby, making dining convenient. It's very noisy at night facing the street, but I guess anyone staying in this area enjoys a lively atmosphere. You can store your luggage after checkout, but there are no tags, you just go into the storage room yourself and pick it up. I personally think this is a security risk... I wonder if the business thinks having cameras is enough... but with the current security situation in Europe and America... 😒 It rained the whole two days I was in Gold Coast... what a shame."

"I really didn't expect the room to be so huge and spacious. It felt more like an apartment than a hotel, so I had to ask the front desk about many things, like getting fresh towels. However, the hotel's location is extremely convenient, especially for getting to the Great Barrier Reef ferry terminal, which is only about a 10-minute walk away."

Discover the magical Whitsundays at Mantra Club Croc, located on Shute Harbour Road only five minutes' drive to the main street of Airlie Beach. Housed in a traditional Queenslander, hotel rooms have been designed with coastal inspired décor and modern amenities. Boasting a large lagoon pool with adjoining spa, tropical gardens, bistro style restaurants, gym, conference facilities, there's also free parking for your car boat or trailer, along with free Wi-Fi.

"I really don't recommend the hotel breakfast. If you're not in a rush, there's a cafe just a 5-minute walk from Coles that opens at 7 AM and has good breakfast options. The facilities are decent enough. The location isn't the best; you have to cross the road to catch the bus. It might be a bit tricky for travelers from China to figure out the bus schedule, as it's 50 cents a ride, and you can get to the plaza for food and drinks in one stop. My room had a strong damp smell, and in my mom's room, the AC wasn't cooling enough, but for a four-day stay, it was manageable. We had to let the water run for over five minutes to get hot water; we almost thought they didn't provide any!"

"The location of the hostel was great, right in the centre of where you need to be. The staff were nice and helpful. However the hostel standard was not up to the same level as the location and staff. The rooms were moderately clean, we had a massive brown stain on our bedding when we arrived, the showers and toilets had mould and clumps of spiders and spiders webs everywhere. In the corners, on the ceilings, in the actual toilet and shower areas. That being said you get what you pay for, this is one of the cheapest hostels in airlie beach, so you sacrifice some cleanness due to how cheap it is."

CCrouching Koala Hidden EmuStayed at the Wyndham in Surfers Paradise for a family weekend away and overall it was a solid choice. As Gold Coast locals we didn’t really need the constant upsell on tours and activities, but I can see how interstate or overseas visitors would find that useful. The location is the real strength here — easy walking distance to Cavill Avenue, directly opposite Q1, and the observation deck nearby was great for the family. Very convenient without needing to constantly drive around Surfers. Our king-sized room was spacious, comfortable and worked well travelling with a young family. The hotel itself felt clean and well maintained. One thing worth noting for visitors is that the Hamilton Street beach entrance is still showing the effects of Cyclone Alfred from 2024, so beach access in that immediate area is not quite back to normal yet. That’s obviously outside the hotel’s control, but useful for travellers planning beach days. Overall, a good stay if you want a central Surfers Paradise base with plenty within walking distance.

Overall, a really enjoyable experience and we would happily stay again.

GGuest UserPublic transportation isn't very convenient, especially at night when returning to the hotel. Buses often run late, requiring a long, hilly hike. Daytime buses are available, but they're not very frequent. It's quite a distance up a hill from the central area, and quite far. The shower in the bathroom makes a strange mechanical noise when you turn it on, but having two sinks is a plus. The bed in the room had some black spots, but it was quite large. It's just a low floor, with no view or privacy from the window. The second floor faces a busy garage. The next morning, my credit card was inexplicably charged over $270, in addition to the $100 deposit. I emailed the manager, but there was no explanation, just an apology and a refund. It was very confusing.

CcheapestwongPros: Excellent location, right next to the LRT station. Spacious room with a balcony. Cons: Limited breakfast options. Facilities are a bit old (haven't used a shower with separate hot and cold water taps in 15 years). Cockroaches on the balcony one night (at least none inside). Right opposite the Sling Shot ride, so expect constant screaming until 10 PM.

JJoannaYan****The location is fantastic, right at the end of the main shopping street. You can literally just walk downstairs and you're there. We were able to walk to several attractions from the hotel. The front desk for check-in is shared by two hotels, which wasn't very clearly indicated, and I was quite anxious while waiting in line. It's a pretty big hotel with lots of guests, and no matter which building you're in, there's always an elevator out of order. It seems like they always have to have one of the three elevators shut down for maintenance.
