"Came here to relax with the natural hot spring that Toyama is famous for. The waters here are dark brown like soya sauce. The public bath has several baths including one that is outdoor. There are ample lockers, dressing tables and shower berths. The laundry room is inside the public bath area. They are separate machines from the dryer. While the washing machines are free, it costs money to use the dryer. The shower cubicle in the hotel room has no shower rail to hang laundry to dry. The double bed room has a private cypress wood bath tub. It felt good to soak in onsen water in the morning before breakfast. It’s deep enough for someone tall to sit in. A short walk away is the tram stop. A free tram ride coupon can be obtained from the front desk for international tourists."

"My stay at DoubleTree by Hilton Toyama was excellent from start to finish. The hotel is modern, stylish, and very well maintained. Its location is extremely convenient, only a few minutes’ walk from Toyama Station, which made traveling around the city and nearby areas very easy. The room was thoughtfully designed, clean, and comfortable. Despite being in the city center, it was quiet at night and I had a very good rest. The bed and pillows were especially comfortable after a long day of traveling. The service was also outstanding. The staff were polite, welcoming, and professional throughout my stay. Check-in was smooth, and the signature warm DoubleTree cookie on arrival was a lovely touch that made the experience even more memorable. Overall, this is a great hotel choice in Toyama. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city."

"The hotel is rather new and very clean. The young man at the reception was very helpful and friendly. Free parking overnight is also very helpful. The room is a bit small but still OK for 2 people. I will consider to stay again in the future if the price is around the same. The only drawback is the location, it is rather far from the city center. Only suitable for traveller who is driving."

"Great location, just 1min walk away from Toyama Station on level 5 of the Maroot building . It’s a perfect base to move around the Tateyama region. The room is on the small side but adequate and well furnished. For tourists who need the iron & ironing board, there are 2 sets per floor that you can use. This is a lifesaver. I’ve had to deal with the trousers presser only at certain hotels, much to my dismay. This was a nice change."

"I stayed in Toyama for two nights to visit Tateyama Kurobe. The hotel is very close to Toyama Station and Toyama Chiho Railway (which I took to Tateyama the next day). From Toyama Station, turn right and walk to the main road, then cross the street, and you're there. Right across from the hotel is a large shopping mall and Toyama Bay Shokudo, where we had a delicious seafood rice bowl. The hotel service was decent. You can pick up toiletries in the lobby, and each floor has a water dispenser. The room also came with a capsule coffee machine, and the room was clean and well-maintained. Upon arrival, you can ask the front desk for a city tram ticket (pictured in Figure 2). Each ticket is valid for two uses. We used it to take the tram to and from the Toyama Prefectural Museum of Art. You can walk to the Canal Park & Fugan Unga Kansui Park."

"The location is super convenient, right across from the station square. I arrived a little after one and the front desk kindly checked me in, which was a nice touch. My room had a view of the snowy mountains, the City Hall Observation Deck, the Glass Museum, and the green roof of Toyama Castle. If you stay multiple nights and opt out of full cleaning (only trash emptied and towels changed), you get a free drink voucher redeemable at the vending machine on the first floor. Foreign guests can also get a free tram ticket at the front desk, valid for two rides. Breakfast was decent, and you can even take coffee to go."

"The hotel's location is fantastic; you can see its top-floor sign as soon as you exit the south exit of Toyama Station. There are many dining options nearby, offering a wide variety of choices. The room looked quite simple and clean, but there was a large stain on the inner rim of the toilet, near the bidet spray, which was very off-putting. The room was a smoking room, so the smell of smoke was very strong. If you don't smoke, try to choose a non-smoking room. I didn't pay close attention to that beforehand."

"The room I booked had an absolutely beautiful view — I loved it very much. It was spacious, and the hotel itself is large and impressive. The onsen was also excellent and very enjoyable. However, the main drawback was the dinner and breakfast. The meals did not match the promotional photos. For example, the advertisement showed crab legs, but there were none during my stay. The sashimi selection was also quite limited. Considering that this is the Toyama area by the sea, I was surprised that there was not much seafood available. There was not even salmon sashimi, which was disappointing. If the hotel could improve and expand the food selection, it would be perfect. It truly has the potential to be the best hotel in Unazuki Onsen."

"The hotel is conveniently located near Toyama Station. Downstairs, there's a Japanese restaurant and a sushi place, but unfortunately, neither accepts reservations, so you have to queue. There's also a convenience store on the first floor. The front desk is on the second floor, where you can pick up toothbrushes, toothpaste, makeup remover, skincare, tea bags, drip coffee, and bath salts – a really good selection. You need your room card to access the elevators. The room itself is a bit small but quite new, and the layout is pretty efficient. My only complaint is the narrow and long entryway; with a 24-inch suitcase open, only one person can pass through at a time. It would be perfect if that hallway were a bit wider. The bathroom gets a huge thumbs-up! It's spacious, with a separate bathtub and shower, and the shower floor dries very quickly. For room cleaning, you need to put a sign on your door. If you only need fresh towels and trash emptied, you can leave them outside your door in the morning, and they'll hang new ones on the doorknob. They provide two bottles of water daily. Toyama Castle and the 'most beautiful Starbucks' are both within walking distance."
