We had a great 3 days 2 nights stay at Sunway Lost World Hotel đ¤ The room was super spacious and felt quite new, which made the stay really comfortable. The hallway is a bit older, but it didnât affect our overall experience.
Loved the small details in the room too, the plugs come with USB charging ports.
Hospitality from all the staff was excellent, everyone was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We also got free 2-night night park and hot spring tickets, plus 35% off day park tickets, which was such a good deal.
Breakfast was so-so, but okay lah. Nothing fancy, but still decent enough to start the day.
Honestly, at least 2 days are needed to properly enjoy everything because one day can be quite tiring. We also highly recommend adding the RM25 Malayan Express Lane. It really helps save time and lets you enjoy more rides (both water and dry attractions).
Overall, a very enjoyable and value-for-money stay. Would definitely recommend đ
The room rate was affordable and included free breakfast. The booking was actually for two people, but I stayed alone.
There are a few areas that could be improved. The room looked quite worn out, and the hygiene could be better. The bedsheet had stains that could not be cleaned off.
The water pressure was also very low. Unfortunately, my room was facing a shop lot with a disco, and the loud music and vibrations continued until around 2am, making it difficult to sleep.
On the positive side, the hotel provided two bottles of water, coffee, toothbrushes, and shower caps. Two small bottles of shower gel and shampoo were also provided, although there was no tissue box in the room.
Security felt good, with a standard hotel door lock system and lift access restricted to room card holders only.
The breakfast was good, with a standard Malaysian-style selection. Considering the room rate, it felt quite generous.
They also provide basement parking, which is very convenient for guests traveling by car.
We are writing to express our disappointment regarding our recent stay. During booking, we explicitly requested a quiet room; however, we were assigned a connecting room. Unfortunately, due to the thin separation, we could hear the neighboring guests talking and moving items late into the night, which resulted in a sleepless night for us. While we understand the hotel was fully booked when we raised this with the front desk, we are frustrated that no alternative solution or assistance could be provided at the time.
Ipoh Excelsior Hotel
1. The location is excellent, with many shops and restaurants within walking distance. For its prime location, it offers great value for money.
2. The hotel staff were friendly, polite, and very helpful with their service.
3. Breakfast was decent, though most of the food was spicy. If you don't eat spicy food, your options will be limited, and there was only one type of vegetable. A special touch was the ice cream served at breakfast, which I'm sure kids would love.
4. The bed felt quite old and wasn't very comfortable. The bathroom, in particular, had many 'traps' on the floor â you could easily slip if not careful.
5. There were no small hand towels in the bathroom. After washing my hands, I had to either use a bath towel or toilet paper, which ended up leaving paper bits all over my hands, forcing me to re-wash them.
6. The hotel didn't even have a basic first-aid kit. I accidentally cut my hand and bled, and when I asked staff for a plaster, they surprisingly told me they didn't have any!
The building looks normal but the interior made up for it. Looks new and rooms are clean. However, they can improve on the lift to accommodate crowd as I experience stopping at almost all level during check-out time. Service was good as I requested to have my pillow case changed after my 1st night as it smelled a little funky. Overall, good experience.
I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The property is beautiful and comfortable, and all my requests were attended to promptly. The staff were friendly, professional, and very accommodating. The food was good and satisfying. My favorite part was the lobby â it smells amazing the moment you step inside đ Highly recommended for a pleasant and relaxing stay
We really liked this hotel a lot. On the groundfloor of the hotel there are shops, 2 restaurants, very convinient. There is a 10% discount for guest if you will eat there. Everyday cleaning, welcoming letter, staff was very friendly. Hotel has laundry room, gym. Cool design.
We Highly recommend it.
The room was clean and the hotel was new, but I could still hear motorbikes at 2 AM. Despite that, I was satisfied and will definitely book again if I return to Taiping.
Please be reminded, this hotel only support self check in, i not realised when i do the booking, only noticed when i reach the hotel.
So it took me sometime to contact CS for the check in procedure.
The room is good enuff for business traveller.
Best part is the this hotel quite during night time as its far from main road, compare to some other same range hotel.
Overall nice, room spacious, bed clean and pillow fluffy.toilet really clean.love the interior design of the room.
Pool ok la, but there were other few families member conquer the pool and let their children make the pool as swim competition and theirs only swim all the space.parents no common sense to others kids.

YYauheniya SatsurađĄ Modest but Convenient Hotel Near the Beach
We stayed at this hotel in Pangkor, and overall, our experience was positive.
- đ **Location:** It's super close to the beach and the main street with cafes and shops â you really couldn't ask for a better spot.
- đ **Accommodation Style:** The hotel is made up of small bungalows, each with its own entrance. Most have a little terrace with a table. It's all very simple, but clean and pleasant.
- đď¸ **Amenities:** The bedding was clean, there was always hot water, and the air conditioners were powerful. The towels, however, are quite worn out and could use replacing.
- đ **Pool:** There is a pool, but it looked a bit gloomy, so we didn't use it.
- đĽ **Staff:** The owners are polite and friendly. No deposit is required. There's a front desk, but it's not open 24/7, which is something to keep in mind if you're checking in late.
đ **Bottom Line:** A simple yet tidy hotel with an excellent location. It's suitable for those looking for affordable accommodation by the sea without extravagant expectations. We were happy with our stay.

AAmoi cantikBooked this hotel last minute for a spontaneous trip to Ipoh and it turned out to be a pleasant stay. Free basement parking was available, which made things very convenient for those who are driving like u. The room was comfortable and satisfactory for the price paid. The location is also close enough to town and easily accessible by car. Thereâs also a lovely cafĂŠ on the ground floor â a nice bonus for coffee lovers. Overall, a good option for a short getaway.
ZZatie rosliHad such a wonderful anniversary getaway at DoubleTree by Hilton Damai Laut â¤ď¸The resort was peaceful, beautiful and perfect for a relaxing escape from busy life. Loved the stunning sea view, clean room, delicious food and the warm hospitality from the staff throughout our stay.
The pool was amazing and our child really enjoyed the Kidâs Club too 𼰠It definitely made the trip more family-friendly and enjoyable for parents with kids.
Just a small suggestion â it would be even better if the Kidâs Club could include a mini playground or small slide for children to play đ
Overall, it was a memorable and relaxing stay. Thank you for making our anniversary celebration so special ⨠Definitely looking forward to coming again!
YYoung KerThe hotel offers simple and clean accommodations, and although it is an older establishment, it is well-maintained. A cash deposit of RM50 is required, which may be inconvenient for guests who do not typically carry much cash. The presence of numerous dogs along the pavement outside can be intimidating. My room faced the road, resulting in some traffic noise. Aeon is conveniently located across the road, accessible by car, and several restaurants are situated on the same row as the hotel.

GGuest UserFor the price, I think it is a reasonable option. Â However objectively:
1. The air-cons don't work well - one of them was leaking. Â The staff was helpful in sending contractor to fix while we were out but due to miscommunication (because we have connecting rooms) the âfixâ was made to the air-con that wasn't leaking as badly as the one we complained about. Â To be fair they offered to swap rooms but we are a family of 5 and it was a hassle to repack and move so we declined.Â
2. The hot water was very good despite some reviews. Â However the shower head in one of the rooms were such that they don't stay put so occasional splashes happened.Â
3. One of the rooms wasn't cleaned (we have connecting room) - the âmake my roomâ card wasn't available in one of the room so we hung on just 1 of the room and left the connecting door open, thinking that the cleaners would clean both. Â They only cleaned 1. Â I guess we could have outright told reception instead of assuming that the cleaners will clean both rooms since we left the connecting door open.Â
4. I paid for extra bed - but the bedsheet was dusty - they changed it (or at least vacuumed it) after the first night.Â
5. The beds were quite comfortable, they offered free bottled water and coffee sachets, tv worked, fridges worked, rooms were decent sized, wifi was ok - ample street parking, the lights were ok but one of the rooms had stark white lights instead of the warmer ones. Location was good, just off the highway and across the eateries in Bercham.Â
6. The staff were helpful and friendly. Â Despite the complaints they texted me and constantly called to check if we needed towels (because one of the room weren't cleaned) and they asked twice if we wanted to change rooms (we didn't because of reason stated above).Â
7. Suggestion - build a small ramp to go up to the hotel from the road if possible. Â It will be helpful for luggage and older folks / wheelchairs etc.Â
All in all, it was a decent stay. Â Price was competitive but cleanliness could be better - and air-con/shower heads can be better maintained.Â
NNzet1996Got a short trip to Ipoh and choose Zone Hotel Ipoh. The location is nice where it is just 15 mins from Ipoh city central and nearby to plaza tol. It feels comfortable to stay with clean room and quiet environment.
