The kitchen was poorly equipped with very few utensils, which didn't match the otherwise lovely decor. It was also uncomfortable to sleep without curtains. The USB charging port by my bed was broken. And I had to ask for bed sheets and mattress covers myself, which was a very odd arrangement.
It was an amazing stay! We stayed here a few months before and when we came back to the area the staff was so great we had no choice but to stay here again!! Thank you to Mariza in particular for being so helpful and welcoming!!!
another great stay at this hotel
everything very good
this time a big groups also booked this hotel, hence needed to wait for sometime said elevators, breakfast
would definite book the same hotel when retutn to verona later 😊
Great historic residence in the heart of Lido Malamocco, in the quiet of the pedestrian area.
Excellent welcome, clean room, well-kept, nice breakfast, always friendly service, never invading.
Excellent location, very close to the train station and attractions,
Complete facilities and environmental sanitation services are in place, recommended!

The hotel reception blamed Trip.com, saying they should not and cannot charge the city tax, and then asked me to pay again.
Overall, I had a good experience at the hotel, but the reception staff need better training. When I checked out, the receptionist asked me to pay the city tax. I told her that my booking clearly included the city tax, but she kept insisting that what I had prepaid did not cover it.
At that moment, I couldn’t find the booking receipt in my email, so I couldn’t show her proof right away. Because she kept saying I was wrong, my teenage son started to believe her and argued with me, saying, “If she asks for it, just pay, it’s only €14.” This was upsetting, not because of the money, but because it set the wrong example for my son.
In the end, I paid the €14 again and then took about 10 minutes to search through my email. When I finally found the booking receipt, I went back to show it to her — proving that I was right and the city tax had already been included. At that point, she asked someone else for help (possibly a manager), and instead of apologizing, they blamed Trip.com, saying I should ask the agent for a refund.
I later contacted Trip.com, and they processed the refund without any issues. I’ve used Trip.com many times before, and I’ve never had a problem like this. The real issue here is not the money but the lack of professionalism at the hotel reception.
The hotel is a very nice and clean room and the home is a great place to enjoy the traveler's experience.
The location is ideal, 5 minutes walk from the station and 20 minutes by train to Venice.
The staff is exceptional and always laughing and careful. We had to stay until 1/1 but following a health problem we had to leave the hotel 1 day earlier and the hotel paid us back last night when it was not planned.
We will be happy to return to the next passage in the region.

This hotel near Venezia Mestre station (5-6 min walk) is a fantastic find. The rooms are super clean and cozy, with comfortable beds and strong heating. The staff are friendly and provide free luggage storage. While the design is basic, the thoughtful amenities (the shower room has a handy chair for your clothes, and single-use cups are provided) make it very practical. Don't miss the Chinese food on the street behind it—'Panda Fly' comes highly recommended!
Everything was fine as we had come early at 12.30 pm before the check-in, that's 2pm. We requested the receptionist girl to check in early, but she made us wait till 2 pm. I would say some rooms could be ready before that but still we had to wait ✋️ for a long time.
Later, we requested to stay till 1.30pm. She told us that if we checked out 1.30pm, she would charge €70.
Thats was the issue

Great
LLady WI was skeptical reading previous reviews but decided to give it a try for one night during my business trip as I’m an IHG member. Having experienced staying at 5 different hotels in this city — most of them within walking distance on Corso Porta Nuova (main street leading from the train station to many main attractions) — I can say that Indigo was among one of my top 2 choices.
The room I stayed in was tastefully decorated — the headboard of the bed immediately attracted attention, striking but elegant, with paintings seemingly telling romantic tales of the city’s history; open wardrobe was clever as it made the room seem spacious while leaving plenty of space for hanging clothes and jackets especially on a rainy day.
The balcony was a super nice touch and was my favorite to come back to in the evening with a view of charming Verona at night watching people and cars passing by. Two chairs, a coffee table with blankets and a little bit of floral decorations. I spent a fair bit of time despite the cold and rain, soaking in the beautiful images which were among the most special memories I’d carry with me from this trip.
Check-in was super efficient. Anna at the reception was an absolute joy to meet and interact with. She’s super kind, thoughtful and professional in helping me with storing my suitcase as I was in a rush to catch my train to a nearby city on a rainy day; she gave clear, accurate info helping me to go to the train station within 10mins; and on the next day, kindly offered recommendations for cafes. Her passion and enthusiasm and friendliness is above and beyond many of her peers. Her genuine smile stands out from others who might be just trying to get their job done. You can tell Anna is truly exceptional and a wonderful ambassador for Hotel Indigo. Keep up the good work!
Breakfast service was super efficient, friendly, attentive. The professional and thoughtful gentleman offered multiple times coffee, tea, orange juice, etc, making sure each guest had everything needed for a good start of the day, quickly clearing dishes while guests stepped away - perfectly seamless. Truly outstanding attention to details. The restaurant offered a good variety of food choices: raw veggies are rare in hotel breakfast buffet but here they did so that was a plus in my book. Fresh fruits, muesli, (no sugar-added) yogurt and scrambled eggs were my go-to. Although I didn’t eat pastries or bread or drink Prosecco for breakfast, if that’s something you like then you’d be pleased to know they offered plenty to satisfy different tastes.
The only thing that prevented Indigo from making my No. 1 choice in Verona was the shower. I requested specifically for a shower because from the photos shared by other travelers and reviews many commented that the bath look dated and needed update. I personally do not take baths in hotels so having a new, good water pressure shower with fast efficient drain would be way more important. They did honor my request with a standup shower corner stall. However, the square-shaped shower stall area was so small that my elbows (I’m petite size female) kept knocking on the glass doors. I believe they’re scheduled for major renovation in Jan-Feb 2024 so it’d be interesting to see if they remodel the bathrooms and showers.
GGuest UserThe room was great, and the hotel staff (the lady at the front desk) was incredibly helpful! My password-protected lock suddenly broke, and I was panicking. I went to the front desk, and she immediately came with pliers and helped me pry it open. She was amazing!
PPranav Patil PHu Venezia Camping Hotel – A Practical & Surprising Base for Venice
My grate stay at the Hu Venezia Camping Hotel. It offers incredible value and fantastic facilities, making it a great choice for travelers on a budget.
The Accommodation: Think of the rooms as clean, modern wooden cabins. They are compact and very basic – essentially a ”wooden box” as described, but they have the essential: a comfortable bed, a roof, and a powerful air conditioner. The cleaning is provided once a week, which is perfect for longer stays.
The Resort & USP: The Amazing Pool Complex This is where the hotel truly shines. The property is massive and feels like a resort. The centrepiece is the huge, fantastic swimming pool, which is easily the hotel's Unique Selling Point (USP). It’s a major plus for families, as there's a dedicated area for children, and for adults looking to cool off and relax after a long day of sightseeing in crowded Venice.
The overall atmosphere and interior landscaping of the hotel are really beautiful. It's green, well-maintained, and has a great vibe that makes you forget you're just outside a major city.
Food & Drink There is an on-site restaurant where you can buy affordable meals, snacks, and drinks. A key point to note: there is no room service. The practical approach is to grab your food and take it back to enjoy on your patio or in your room. Also, be aware that coffee sachets are not provided in the room. If you're a coffee lover, I highly recommend bringing your own or buying some at the reception/restaurant.
Location & Connectivity The location is practical for accessing Venice without paying premium prices.
· Shuttle Service: The hotel offers a very convenient shuttle bus to Tronchetto (the gateway to Venice's water transport) every 30 minutes for a reasonable €5 return trip.
· Walking to Venice Mestre: A major discovery was that the Venezia Mestre train station is absolutely within walking distance (about 1.9km or 20-25 minutes). The walk is very safe, even early in the morning (we walked at 5 AM without any issues). This is a huge money-saver for getting trains to Venice Santa Lucia or other cities.
Overall, the Hu Venezia Camping Hotel offers outstanding value for money. Get access to a fantastic resort-style pool and easy connections to Venice.

RR K YNice hotel with all 4 star amenities. Not far from everywhere. Lidl supermarket is next door which can be very handy. Not far from the train/ bus station or the town centre.
GGuest User“We stayed at Hotel Aaron for 2 nights as a family. It is very close to Mestre train station. The rooms and bathrooms were very clean, and the staff were especially friendly and helpful with everything. We had a great experience!
GGuest UserGreat service! The breakfast was really good, and at 9 euros per person, it was quite substantial. The front desk upgraded us to a room with a king-size bed and a twin bed. Since it was winter and raining, it was lovely to walk into a room with the air conditioning already making it toasty warm. The bathroom was also large and very comfortable.
GGuest UserExcellent hotel, excellent location near public facilities. A pleasant and comfortable environment. Most comfortable bed and clean top. The new management is doing excellent work. I can only advise it.
