Romantic Hotels in Zhejiang, China

Checked in on May 1st, and the prices were already soaring! We stayed in a Mountain View King Room on the third floor. Since it was just two adults with no luggage, the third floor was perfect – quiet, great views, and came with a balcony and a bathtub. The environment was really nice. Honestly, the stay exceeded my expectations. The surroundings are so pleasant, like a huge botanical garden. The shuttle carts prioritize picking up and dropping off guests. All the facilities are family-friendly, like the toiletries and slippers. The only minor thing was that the hot water took a little while to come through. In the morning, we were first in line at Lumingxuan and had breakfast with the giraffes – truly an unforgettable memory!

My stay was even better than expected, and this is my second time choosing this hotel! The location is convenient, and the soundproofing is excellent – no noisy traffic disturbing my sleep in the main city area in the mornings. It's also close to West Lake Scenic Area with good surroundings. The check-in process was quick, the front desk staff were friendly and helpful, answering all my questions promptly. The hotel's room manager even shared travel tips. Although the room has floor-toto-ceiling windows, the blackout curtains work perfectly. They've thought of everything! Highly recommend for tourists.

This B&B is located inside the scenic area, and our room faced the street. We heard tricycles and electric scooters driving by all night, and the sound of their wheels on the cobblestone street was incredibly disruptive, making it impossible to sleep. Perhaps the rooms facing the water would be quieter. This completely shattered my perception of the peaceful and gentle ambiance I'd experienced in other Jiangnan water towns like Wuzhen and Nanxun. The hotel's location is otherwise decent, about a 3-4 minute walk from Sujia Alley. We arrived by bus from Wuzhen, and walking from the visitor center was quite inconvenient. While the room was generally clean and tidy, there were mosquitoes, and quite large ones at that. They did provide disposable towels, which was a nice touch. The proprietress at the front desk kindly helped us carry our luggage upstairs, and the hotel helped us purchase tickets for 70 yuan.

This hotel was super comfortable and easy to find. The amenities were incredibly comprehensive, and I especially loved the large full-length mirror which was perfect for photos. The bathroom had a great wet/dry separation, and the spacious counter was ideal for getting ready. The room itself was very roomy and I really liked it, especially the huge projector screen – perfect for binge-watching shows! When I ordered takeout, a robot delivered it right to my door. Down in the lobby, they had delicious coffee, popcorn, and popsicles. The location is super convenient, with lots of local restaurants nearby, and it's close to Hubin Yintai in77, so you can take a nice stroll by the lake in the evening.

I booked a one-bedroom villa, and my butler Lucy gave me a free upgrade to a two-bedroom villa. The moment I walked in, it felt so grand! There's a hot spring pool outside on the basement level. The staff disinfected the pool and filled it with hot spring water beforehand, so I didn't have to do anything. Lucy, the butler, is beautiful and has an excellent service attitude. The next day, she even asked if I slept well and if I was comfortable, telling me to contact her anytime if I had any issues. The area around the villa is quiet and surrounded by lush greenery. Someone comes to clean every day, and all the staff are friendly. Next time, I'd like to book a sea-view room for a different experience.

I chose this hotel because of its professional and personalized service. This time, I stayed at the Shaoxing One Thousand and One Nights Courtyard Hotel. I traveled from Shanghai to Shaoxing and arrived before 11 AM, but they still arranged for me to check in. The front desk staff enthusiastically recommended local delicacies and attractions. Any issues I encountered during my stay were promptly resolved. On my last day, they kindly reminded me about the check-out time, and even offered us bottled water as we were leaving. The hotel's facilities are comprehensive, but the service is even more attentive and thoughtful. The hotel is also within walking distance to various attractions, and the breakfast was delicious. It was a very pleasant stay overall.

The hotel has a rich, antique vibe. The room was clean and tidy, and opening the window revealed a stunning, refreshing view of lush greenery – very therapeutic. The courtyard is elegantly and artistically decorated, with charming scenery that's perfect for photos. The owner was warm and attentive. The location is convenient for transportation, as the B&B is very close to Wuzhen West Scenic Zone, making getting around easy.

This is the first time I've encountered front desk staff being so disrespectful during check-in. They were openly joking and messing around, completely ignoring whether I was speaking. It was so noisy that the woman checking me in couldn't hear me at all and had to awkwardly ask me to repeat myself over and over. I had to keep raising my voice just to be heard. The bathroom had very noticeable footprints, though the rest of the room was cleaned quite well.

It was 32 degrees Celsius, and as soon as I entered the room, the AC was blasting, and a faint, pleasant scent instantly made me feel at ease. The room size was perfect for one person. The balcony offered an unobstructed view of Qiandao Lake, which was fantastic. The room also had a screen door and a sofa. If it was too hot on the balcony, I could just sit on the sofa and enjoy the lake view – very thoughtful design! The body lotion smelled lovely. The only minor issue was that the duvet felt a bit damp, but that's common for rooms by the lake in this kind of weather. Still, it was clean; my skin is very sensitive, and unclean bedding usually makes me itchy, but I had no issues here. Breakfast was extensive, and eating while looking at the lake was wonderful. I'd definitely come back given the chance! The service was also excellent.

Our stay was absolutely perfect! Every corner of the hotel is picturesque, offering beautiful photo opportunities that easily rival popular scenic spots, but with a unique江南 (Jiangnan) style. A special shout-out to Mr. Chen Fu, our shuttle driver. We arrived quite late, around 10 PM, amidst a heavy downpour, and the shuttle service was almost ending. He thoughtfully covered our sleeping child with a towel to prevent them from getting wet. After dropping us off, he walked us to our room, holding an umbrella and even helped with our luggage. Such a small act of kindness truly warmed our hearts. Thumbs up to him! At checkout, Ms. Xiao Xie from the concierge was incredibly attentive, helping us with our luggage to the car and proactively assisting with the checkout process. Big praises for her! Assistant Lobby Manager Mr. Xiao Lü also had a wonderful attitude. We're definitely looking forward to coming back and trying out different room types! Shaoxing is truly beautiful!
