Dongying Wanda Realm hotel is very comfortable and the best I have stayed in Dongying. Spacious, quality rooms, very clean with excellent facilities, particularly the pool and gym, and with very attentive, pleasant and helpful staff, especially Andrew who has provided excellent assistance over my many stays. Highly recommended for short or long stays as the go-to hotel in Dongying.

From the moment I stepped into the lobby, she was incredibly welcoming and attentive, guiding me every step of the way and proactively introducing the hotel's stunning sky-high views and special offers. A lovely welcome gift awaited me upon check-in, and she was always quick to respond to my needs during my stay, paying attention to every small detail. The room was spacious and comfortable with breathtaking high-altitude views, and the service was both professional and warm, making me feel right at home. I highly recommend it and will definitely choose Kempinski again on my next visit to Jinan!

This was the warmest trip ever! We chose this hotel for my child's birthday. The overall environment and service were top-notch, especially Judy and Sally. After I casually mentioned it was my child's birthday, they proactively prepared a birthday cake. The service was fantastic! Next time we visit Rizhao, Sheraton will definitely be our first choice. The service, environment, and scenery are all perfect, especially the executive room which faces the sea directly. My child was super excited!

Whether it was a late-night arrival or an early morning departure, a quick call was all it took for the shuttle to arrive promptly. The driver was very attentive, helping with luggage and significantly easing the fatigue of travel. The hotel rooms were clean and tidy, and the soundproofing was effective – I barely heard any airplane noise, allowing for a really good rest. The front desk staff were also very welcoming, and both check-in and check-out were quick. For travelers who need to catch early morning or late-night flights, this hotel is definitely a top choice, as it takes away all the worries about transportation.

Before check-in, I didn't hear from the butler, so I proactively contacted them and added them to my contacts. I communicated my needs: 1. Baby supplies. 2. A simple arrangement for my birthday. 3. A clean and quiet room. Upon arrival, there were many people checking in. We were given a corner room on the 17th floor. The butler mentioned it had the best side-sea view. However, there was no special decoration in the room. An hour later, staff came to install a bed rail, deliver baby supplies, a balloon, a greeting card, and two eye patches. The staff delivering these items said fruit and cake would be delivered later or arranged by contacting the butler, but they never arrived. I asked if, given it was my birthday and I had a child with me (a double bonus!), they could arrange a small lion toy. They refused and told me to buy one on the first floor. After dinner, we returned to our room. The room next door was being decorated for a wedding. I knew the morning's wedding procession would definitely disturb our sleep! So much for a 'quiet room'! I called the front desk. After confirming, they moved us to a room on the 23rd floor in the same location, which meant another round of packing and unpacking. Once settled, the air conditioning hummed loudly like a blower. I had to call again. They said someone would come, but we waited for half an hour. A maintenance worker arrived with a ladder, fiddled with it for ten minutes, and fixed it. Moving rooms meant reinstalling the bed rail. More waiting. After waiting for housekeeping to install the bed rail, I reported a smoky smell, and they brought an air purifier. By the time we started getting ready for bed, more than an hour had passed since we first re-entered the room. I hurriedly took care of my child and gave feedback to the butler. She apologized and applied for a small gift for the baby. I thought to myself: What about my ruined birthday mood? I'm important too! The next morning, my child wanted to watch cartoons, but the TV's screen mirroring function had issues. It would play for a bit then pop up with a 'playback paused' message. After several repetitions, my child started crying again... The breakfast selection was good, and the taste was acceptable. They cleared the buffet at 10:30 AM, and we arrived at 10:00 AM, so I understand they wouldn't replenish items. However, someone should at least tidy up; it looked like leftover scraps.

Booked an Executive King room, but since it wasn't available, the front desk attendant kindly upgraded me to an apartment suite. What more could I ask for? Seriously, nothing but praise. The Executive Lounge's Happy Hour offers plenty of food; if you really try, you can certainly fill up. Normally, no one mixes drinks there, but I insisted and they made me a Gin and Tonic. A little later, I went back for another, jokingly asking if a Gin and Tonic was really that challenging. They relented and concocted a passionfruit-infused drink with tonic – I forget what liquor was in it – but it was sweet and quite delicious. They truly made something out of nothing, as all the colored syrups were gone. So grateful, truly grateful. From the living room, you get a panoramic, unobstructed view of Quancheng Square, and you can see the Guohua InterContinental across the way. I specifically checked at night, and thankfully, no one was flying drones, which is a HUGE plus. Breakfast had a decent variety, pretty standard. Besides their special omelet-wrapped everything, I highly recommend 'Bazi Rou' (braised pork) when you're in Jinan. The presentation is plain, even uglier than what you'd find at Chaoyixing, and it comes in small pieces, but the flavor is spot on – absolutely delicious. In the suite, they provided a bunch of random samples – all the toiletries were miniatures. I looked them up and they were Acqua di Parma. I didn't recognize the brand, so I just took them all home. Before leaving, I even called housekeeping to request another set. We Shangri-La members are basically beggars, after all. The pool was also excellent – clean and not crowded. Swimming next to the 'Eye of Quancheng' really is a unique experience. The sauna and steam rooms were also well-maintained. Right across from the hotel is Jinan's traditional CBD (though there's a proper, newer CBD now, quite far away). I recommend crossing through the Hang Lung Plaza opposite, and just a short walk away, you'll find Yanxi Tang, whose scallion oil carp was unexpectedly delicious. Finally, I'd like to give a special shout-out to two staff members: Niki at the front desk and He Mengyao at the lounge. Thanks to their professional service, our trip concluded perfectly. We will definitely be back.

Although the hotel has been around for a while, it's very well-maintained, and the location is excellent, being very close to May Fourth Square with a subway station right outside. My stay was packed with activities. One evening, returning to the hotel's front desk, I was surprised and delighted to overhear a manager speaking Cantonese. He spoke fluent Hong Kong-style Cantonese, and it was such a pleasant surprise to meet a fellow Cantonese speaker so far away in Qingdao. His way of speaking made us feel incredibly welcome and familiar. In the lobby, he recommended several different restaurants based on our preferences, and not a single one was a disappointment – I'm so grateful to him! He was truly wonderful and his service was incredibly thoughtful. I'll definitely choose to stay here again next time; it's a truly convenient hotel and highly recommended.
