This hotel is massive. Its comprises of 3 buildings and each building has its own public bath. And one of them has outdoor bath.
The room I booked has balcony but it was too chilly to sit outside.
Gym and swimming pool are also available but for ¥1,000 fee.
Dinner was not impressive but the hotel provided 2 different foods on each dinner during my 2-day stay. Breakfast spread was good but it is buffet style and it was busy and chaotic.
The best thing about this location it is very close to Gero station yet the hotel has pick ip and drop off service for every train schedules.
We stayed at Tokyu Stay Hida Takayama Musubinoyu for 2 nights, and it was the best accommodation of our entire Japan trip. The hotel is cosy, lovely, and very well maintained, making our stay extremely comfortable. The location is excellent, with easy access to the train station, shops, and restaurants. The onsen was fantastic, and we especially enjoyed the relaxing foot bath. Breakfast at the hotel was wonderful, with a great selection to start the day. Overall, this hotel exceeded our expectations, and I highly recommend it to anyone staying in Takayama.
We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The staff were polite and friendly throughout our visit. The location is excellent, just a three-mins walk from the Takayama Nohi Bus Center. The hotel is visible from the bus stop so it wasn't even necessary to check the map. It is also conveniently close to main attractions (e.g. the morning market) and souvenir shops. Our room was spacious with a comfortable bed. We appreciated the hotel accommodating our request for a room near the elevator. The only drawback was the slightly dim lighting. The breakfast offered a good variety of choices in a quiet setting. A notable amenity is the complimentary access to the mist sauna and jacuzzi, which we enjoyed very much. We would definitely choose this hotel again on a future visit to Takayama.
In the Takasu Ski district, this is about the most impressive hotel option. Since there is very little dining options in the town of 1 street, we are thankful for the good quality restaurant for breakfast and dinner.
The rooms decor is dated but in very good condition, for a moment I felt like I was in an Austrian ski lodge.
The onsen was also dated but in good functioning condition.
There is on site parking which may not be enough during peak season. Then again, Takasu ski-jo looks like a day trip option.
Surprisingly it was very good...varieties of food for dinner and breakfast.clean place.free ticket and lunch to Shinhotaka ropeway.i will definitely come back back again..small issue is that the reception difficulty understanding english other thant everything good.
The hot spring water was very nice, and it was great that I didn't have to bring a towel from my room.
There was no TV in the sauna room, and no shelves to put personal items like water and towels, so it would have been nice if there were.
Perhaps because it was a weekday, the bath was empty and I was able to warm up at my own pace.
Perhaps because the breakfast venue was a time-selection area, there was no hassle and I was able to enjoy delicious freshly made sweetfish tempura and homemade curry.
The hotel is very nice, located in the mountains, quiet and peaceful. The riverside park nearby is very large and well maintained. The room is large in Japan, the price is reasonable, and you can soak in the hot spring at night, which is very comfortable. However, you can only drive here by yourself, it is very inconvenient to get here without a car.
Very classical house, clean and tidy, and the service is in place. You can see Changliangchuan in the room, with beautiful scenery.
Breakfast is very delicious, very Japanese, summary is very recommended
Our room was spacious and presented with a private onsen of which we can use any time at our convenience. Because of that, hardly anyone uses the shared private onsen, though the view there is better than that in our rooms. Also, there was no elevator at the hotel, so we had to carry our luggages up and down the stairs, thankfully the hotel only has 2 levels, and the hotel staff were nice enough to help us carry our luggages up into our rooms.
Free parking is available, which is essential as the hotel is not situated nearby any public transport. But it is within 15 to 30 min drive to nearby attractions.
The hotel was quite strict on the meal times as dinner and breakfast are served at 6pm and 8am sharp respectively. We arrived the hotel late on our first night (around 7pm) and almost missed our dinner (and almost got our room cancelled). We were served hida beef in different cooking style at dinner for both nights of our stay, one steamed and one grilled. Both tasted delicious!
All the staff were very friendly and always wearing a grin on their faces. Overall we had a pleasant stay.

ZZuohuazuiyueThe hotel is extremely clean and conveniently connected directly to JR Gifu Station via a skywalk. The hot spring bath was great, and they even offered popsicles afterwards. In the evening, there's complimentary ramen, which is a fantastic touch. They also provide Yakult in the mornings. Overall, excellent value for money. The Indian lady at the front desk spoke very good English, which made communication easy.

GGelinbeishileBlizzard stayed in Takayama. I booked a Japanese-style room with a private bath on the roof of Hoshokaku. The private bath is on the balcony. You can see the city in the distance and the snowflakes falling. I couldn't get a taxi during the blizzard. The previous hotel helped me contact Hoshokaku and provided a free car to pick me up. It was very heartwarming. The hotel has a car to the JR station before 10 o'clock every day. It runs every half an hour. It is very convenient
