A wonderful, compact hotel right by the sea. It's very quiet and peaceful. We stayed in the last room and didn't hear any neighbors at all, either they were quiet or the soundproofing is excellent. Hornbills occasionally flew into the grounds. There's a clean, beautiful pool, and the entire area is lush with greenery. The staff are unobtrusive, quietly going about their work and constantly tidying up the property. There are many duty-free shops and cafes near the hotel. Overall, the experience was overwhelmingly positive; it's a perfect hotel for a relaxing getaway.

Rebak Island Resort & Marina, the sole hotel on Langkawi's Rebak Island, offered me an unforgettable vacation. If you're seeking a truly secluded sanctuary to connect with nature and escape the hustle and bustle, I wholeheartedly recommend this place! The island's environment is simply breathtaking! Surrounded by refreshing scenery, there are plenty of trails to explore on foot. What surprised me most was the excellent ecological preservation here. The hotel even offers a guided one-hour nature walk every Sunday at 8:30 AM. Through this, I learned about many unique Malaysian flora and fauna – it was a truly valuable learning experience! Beyond hiking, we could also cycle. The bay where the hotel is situated is also a significant stop for global sailing, adding a special maritime flair to the entire resort. What truly warmed my heart during this trip was the hotel's service. The staff were incredibly attentive and thoughtful, and I sincerely thank them for that! Our package included dinner, and breakfast was a standard buffet with a wide variety of choices. The dinner menu also offered excellent selection, and both the taste and service left us very satisfied. Even better, despite being on a private island, transportation to and from the mainland was absolutely no issue. There are several complimentary shuttle boat services daily, making it very convenient. Of course, even in a perfect experience, there were some things to get used to. 1. **Soundproofing in wooden villas:** The hotel rooms are older-style wooden villas, usually two stories. If you stay on the ground floor, you will indeed hear the footsteps of guests upstairs quite clearly. 2. **Monkey neighbors:** Because the island's ecosystem is so thriving, we had quite a few monkey neighbors! Everyone needs to be extra careful and remember not to leave your room door open, otherwise, they might come in and ”steal” your food. **Summary:** Putting aside the soundproofing of the older villas and the ”mischief” of the little monkeys, Rebak Island Resort & Marina earned my highest praise for its unparalleled natural environment, rich ecological activities, and thoughtful, attentive service. It was a soulful journey back to nature!

”Exceptional Stay – Amazing Breakfast and Perfect for Shopping!” ”Our stay at Adya Hotel Langkawi in Kuah was absolutely fantastic. The highlight every morning was undoubtedly the best breakfast buffet—the variety was incredible! We especially loved the live station where you can eat fresh roti canai and actually see the making of roti canai right in front of you. It was served hot and crispy, just the way it should be. The room itself was a pleasant surprise. We stayed in an Executive room which was a huge room, giving us plenty of space to relax without feeling cramped. We also had a nice view from the room overlooking the town and the sea, which was particularly beautiful during sunset. Location-wise, this hotel is a shopper’s dream. It is extremely easy to go shopping at HIG Supermarket (Haji Ismail Group), which is just a short drive away for all your duty-free chocolate and kitchenware needs. Plus, there are plenty of other shops and eateries within walking distance. Highly recommended for families and anyone looking for a convenient and comfortable stay in Langkawi!”

Resort World may be old but it offers scenic water front that most hotels can't offer. Though there is no sandy beach for strolling or swimming, it offers a very nice water front facing infinity pool that gives you a great swimming experience. Loved the reclining beach chairs in the infinity pool! Those sea facing rooms get to open their balcony doors or sit by the balcony to enjoy the strong sea breeze! There's fish feeding every evening which is a highlight of my stay. The fishes seem to know their dinner time! There's another swimming pool for kids and adults which offers warm water if the weather is sunny....love it like soaking in a warm tub. The reception service was really excellent! Was attended by Miss Ting who personally went to great lengths to ensure my room requirements are met as we have senior citizens with us. The breakfast spread was yummylicious! Unfortunately a few of my guests had diarrhoea after the final day breakfast...still clueless to the cause. This resort also has a Northern Indian cuisine restaurant, a bar, game room that offers darts, snooker, ping pong, and foosball/table football, small playground slides for children, bicycles for rent (RM10 per hour),various boat tour packages and it is the place where cruise ships dock for passengers to do land tours. We managed to see one on our last morning, there! Oh, we also get to watch the tour boats depart and return as the hotel is facing the jetty hub that runs this activity. Collectively, we all agree we will come back to this hotel in the future even if there are other new or beach front hotels there. The room price is reasonable especially if one book early, online. Highly recommended resort if you prefer a quiet, peaceful yet pleasant stay. It's very near (a few kilometres away) to Tengah Beach and the loud, noisy, crowded, happening Cenang Beach. Rent a car so that you can move around easily especially if the group is big or has young children or senior citizens. Very happy with our stay there. Highly recommend! Nevermind the old facade, the environment and experience beats it all!

We spent 4 days in this hotel with my daughter.   It's a descent hotel for the money. The location is very good, on the first line by the sea.  There are two swimming pools, but they are rarely used. The area is clean and green. There are many broken umbrellas and sun loungers. This is not well maintained. The rooms are old and worn out, and there are constant problems with keys and air conditioning.  But, again, for the money, it's a decent hotel.  Not all rooms have phones. They don't tell you how to contact the reception. You have to figure out that there's a WhatsApp number somewhere to contact the reception. They don't mention it during check-in.  The reception staff was very disappointing. You have to write and remind them several times before they start doing anything.  There was a very unpleasant moment: it was a child's birthday, we asked the reception if they could arrange a cake. They said no, but shared the contacts of the store where you can buy. We bought a cake, brought it to the hotel, asked to put it in the refrigerator, as it wax very hot outside. It was said several times that they need to put it in the refrigerator, otherwise the cake would start to melt. They agreed. After two hours we took the cake that had leaked, which no one put in the refrigerator. In addition, the reception staff forbade us to eat the cake in the hotel restaurant, and sent us to the hut on the beach without lighting, plates and forks. And this is taking into account the fact that we were going to have dinner in the restaurant anyway. Disgusting service, isn't it? Thanks a lot  to the restaurant staff, who still agreed to accommodate us, helped us, and even played the song Happy Birthday.  The restaurant staff were wonderful, welcoming, very attentive both at breakfast and dinner, and helpful with other issues that were not even related to their job. This is the only service in the hotel that deserves a five-star rating. Many thanks to them

Bayview is the excellent hotel in the heart of Kuah town. It’s obviously quite old but very-well kept and well-equipped. I haven’t had any disappointments during our 5 nights stay. We had a family suite. It’s well-furnished, so spacious and light! There’s a great view on the Maha tower and the sea! We didn’t have any meals in the hotel, so can’t say anything about the food and the restaurant. There’s proper cleaning every day. The staff is so helpful and friendly. So, the stay was great!

I highly recommend staying at Cenang Beach when you're in Langkawi. The sand is fine, but there are shells. This hotel is generally good; it's very close to the airport, about a fifteen-minute taxi ride. They have a shuttle service and two swimming pools, with a small kids' splash area next to the main pool. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. Standard check-in is at 3 PM, and you can extend check-out until 1 PM. There's also a farm where you can feed lambs. If it's too hot to go out during the day, you can relax on the hotel beach or by the pool. However, it's a shame the pool closes at 8 PM, and there were too many mosquitoes in the room!

This place completely blew us away! We didn't anticipate something so beautiful! The room was amazing and comfortable. The surrounding area of the hotel is very gorgeous and they have an awesome pool side as well. Great, convenient location. Super friendly staff members. I'd highly recommend this place. The only picture I could find was one of the view from our balcony.

⭐ 5/5 I really enjoyed my stay at this resort! The pool is huge and very clean — I swam for almost 3 hours each day during my 2-night stay 🤭. My pool access room was super comfortable, clean, and beautifully designed. I also loved that there’s a bathtub! A few small suggestions for improvement: 1. It would be great to have street lights at the junction leading to the resort. 2. Adding a clear sign at the entrance would help, especially at night or during rainy weather. 3. Breakfast was okay overall. The English-style options were good, but the local dishes like fried kuey teow, fried vermicelli, and nasi lemak could use a bit more flavour. Overall, I had a pleasant and relaxing stay — definitely a resort I’d love to come back to! 🌴💦

I booked a 2-night stay with my Mrs in one of the villas connected to the shared pool, and our experience started off on a great note. We were picked up from the airport in a very comfortable Toyota Alphard arranged by the resort. Our driver and resort staff, Khai, was incredibly friendly—he patiently answered all my questions and gave us fantastic food recommendations since it was my first time in LGK. Upon arrival, we were welcomed by Daniel at the lobby. He served us beautifully presented lemon peach teas as a welcome drink and brought us through the entire check-in process. While waiting for our villa to be ready, we had lunch at the resort’s only restaurant. Unfortunately, this was the only part of the stay that fell short—the pizza crust was undercooked, a bit greasy, and tasted store-bought, which was quite disappointing. Thankfully, things picked up again after that. Khai later escorted us to our villa, and we were relieved that our balcony didn’t directly face the restaurant. However, I do feel the pool and villa balconies could be designed to offer more privacy so diners aren’t looking out over the area. Overall, the stay was truly pleasant. I loved that the resort is away from the busy beach, giving us a peaceful and quiet environment. All the staff were warm and friendly. A few standout perks include: 1. Complimentary rides to and from the property (subject to booking and availability) 2. Free minibar, replenished daily—including coffee capsules 3. Complimentary Netflix and YouTube accounts on the TV (which both my wife and I really love) 4. A pretty decent in-room breakfast experience. (they definitely do breakfast better than lunch, in my opinion) I also indulged in a 90-minute massage, which started with herbal tea, grapes, and a carrot stick during a herbal foot bath, followed by a foot massage and a one-hour full-body aromatherapy massage. My masseuse, Yaya, was incredibly patient and attentive, constantly checking on the pressure and even gifting me a small goodie bag at the end. All in all, I wouldn’t mind returning—and I’m even considering trying one of their larger 3-room villas next time. I highly recommend this resort for big families, couples, or anyone looking for a relaxing getaway.

CCurlygirl_travelsThis resort is big and beautiful, immersed in nature and their service is excellent. ( please forgive me if I have butchered the names or spelled them wrong) Faraaz was welcoming and informative upon check in, I came in early to check in and he made sure to find me so that I can check in my room a little before 3 pm. The surroundings are lovely, the resort hugs the mountains and is surrounded by lush green. There’s many activities that you can do within the resort, as well as the skybridge and oriental village a stone throw away ( you can get a one way shuttle courtesy of resort. The room itself was old but the housekeeping staff does an excellent job because it was clean, there’s no sewer smells and the bed is cosy. The only issue I have is that of the gaps which lets geckos in, a huge one made it’s home in the bathroom, thumbs up to front desk service which is open and the security came late at night to help find it but it had hidden. The next day I saw one come through the gap in the door, ( there is a brush at the bottom but doesn’t fit until the end) I clapped my hands wildly to chase it back out. Perhaps provide a door draft stopper, I just used the towels to fill in gaps as a makeshift one. However I know it is a resort surrounded by nature and these creatures will find a way. Breakfast was excellent, I have to says the breakfast staff is the hardest working team I have ever seen in all my travels. Not only do they have to greet and seat, but they also accommodate late breakfast comers who come after the allotted breakfast time and wait until they finish a lazy breakfast. The food here is delicious. It was a lovely stay. Ps. Don’t forget to make a reservation in advance for Phan Thai, I recommend at 6:30, it’s not busy yet and you can take pics and enjoy the beautiful sky dimming into glorious colors. It starts to get really busy at around 7:40 ( it’s still bright out) .

LliudmilabWe had a 4-night stay at this hotel and I honestly can't tell that it was a vacation of my dream. What was good: 1. Location. The hotel is just 20 min walk from the night market and 10-15 min walk from duty free shops. Also, so many nice restaurants and cafes nearby. 2. Beach. Only 3 minutes walk from the main door. Smooth sandy entry to the water, the hotels' own ”sunbeds” and fresh towels. I especially would like to thank the watersports team (they are also beach staff) for the exceptional treatment. 3. Breakfast. An extremely wide choice of western and asian food. No one will leave the breakfast hungry. 4. SPA. Brilliant, just perfect! Unfortunately, I don't remember the therapist's name but trust me, she is a truly magician. 5. The whole hotel territory seems new and cool. Main entrance was nicely decorated for Chinese New Year. Unfortunately, there are no positive moments anymore. 1. Our room (#926, Junior Suite) was awfully dirty! I attach photos of everything we could notice, but we haven't explored all the possible dirty areas. We booked the room with a sea view but it was completely ruined with dirty windows (they were dirty from the outside). Moreover, our sofa, bedsheets, towels and even curtains were covered with disgusting yellow / brown stains as well. I don't even want to imagine WHAT could leave stains like that. Floor was stained with some brownish drops which I guess, could be blood. The housekeeping staff tried to remove them but couldn't. 2. The front office staff was slow and didn't give any f of what is going on all the time. I lost my shorts (it is my fault, the shorts were blown out with the wind from the balcony) but no one would like to help me for real except the concierge and front office supervisor who tried their best to find my shorts. Seems like that the front office staff don't even talk to each other as all of them always had completely different information. Also, we had the slowest check-out ever. We were short on time as we had to head to the airport, however the staff acted like we have all the time of the world. 3. The pool bar's food was not good at all plus the bar's staff was just as front office's. Slow and unresponsive. 4. There was only one person who does the cleaning per floor which is a wild fact for me. Cleaning was extremely slow and low-qualified just because of this. Plus, we spent our last two days with only one towel per person. Probably we didn't deserve the second one or something. Our room also had a water boiling system, but NO ONE told us about it while check-in. I had to take a barely warm shower at first. However, I would like to thank security and doormen service staff who were always so nice to us and Japanese restaurant staff and manager who actively helped to find my gone-with-the-wind shorts. I would not recommend this hotel to stay at before the management would train the front office, bar and housekeeping staff well and deep clean the rooms. The only thing I can tell was 100% great is SPA. So, I guess, you can make an appointment as an outside guest

AAnonymous UserThe location of this hotel is outstanding. It is right at the end of the beach, giving the feeling that the entire stretch of sand belongs to you. It is quiet, and ideal for relaxing, especially for families. The rooms are clean and comfortable, although the prices are on the expensive side for what is offered overall. Unfortunately, the hotel’s biggest weakness is its organisation and internal communication. Apparently different departments do not communicate well with one another. During check-in, there was a long queue at the reception despite five staff members being present, yet only two were actually assisting guests. As a result, we waited far longer than necessary. Only after I told them that they need to help each other out, did they start accelerating the check-in process. A more serious issue occurred on our third day when the safe box in our room ran out of battery. I informed reception and was told someone would come shortly. After waiting 30 minutes, I called again, then waited another 15 minutes, and finally had to go to reception for the third time. In total, nearly two hours of our holiday were wasted waiting for a simple battery replacement. The restaurant, however, was a clear exception. Mr Azizi deserves special mention for his professionalism and attentiveness. From the first day until the end of our stay, he regularly checked on us and genuinely tried to help. When I mentioned the safe box issue to him, he was the one who finally stepped in and made things happen. Thanks to his supervision, the restaurant ran smoothly and efficiently. BTW, it’s worth mentioning that breakfast is amazing, with a variety of delicacies. Sadly, the same cannot be said for the beach bar. Orders were frequently forgotten, even after payment. Waiting 30–40 minutes for drinks and then being told they were simply forgotten was frustrating and disappointing. Another sign of poor coordination was the bracelet policy. For the first two days, no one mentioned that guests were supposed to wear bracelets. From the third day onwards, security staff on the beach began checking and questioning us daily, which again points to a lack of communication at reception. The room itself was decent. Due to the humid climate, there was a slight smell, which is quite common in this region and something we also experienced in Thailand, so this was not a major issue. Overall, I can recommend this hotel for its excellent location and family-friendly atmosphere. However, considering the price and the ongoing organisational problems, I do not feel it offers good value for money. On a positive note, Grab makes it easy to get around, and the main hotspot area is only about 2-2.5 km away.

NNiliudashuLocation, convenience, beach, ambiance, rooms, entertainment, dining – there's hardly anything to complain about. If I had to nitpick, first, there are too few designated smoking areas! Second, the rooftop infinity pool is strictly for guests aged 18 and above, which feels quite unreasonable. Many guests come with their families, and it's not like you can just ditch your kids to go for a swim. This policy excludes many from enjoying the experience. For breakfast, try to go early and grab a seat near the water for a great experience. The hotel is situated on Cenang Beach, which has very fine sand. The water isn't crystal clear, but it's acceptable. The room's minibar offers a good variety of drinks, plus two small snack bags that are refilled daily by the staff. You absolutely MUST choose a sea-view room. We opted for the Premium Sea View, which had an L-shaped sofa on the balcony. I actually slept there one night, facing the ocean, under the moonlight, and falling asleep to the sound of the waves – it was absolutely wonderful. The room was also spacious enough, nearly 70 square meters, making it very comfortable for a family of three. The gym doesn't have a huge variety of equipment, but it's sufficient and open 24 hours. There are two pools: one for adults and one for all ages. Regarding food, the hotel has several restaurants, and there's also a beach BBQ with a fire dance show for 198 per person, which isn't expensive. It's also not far from Zhong Hua Seafood Restaurant and Hidden Bar, making dining very convenient. Overall, it was a great experience, and I'll definitely stay here again on my next trip to Langkawi.

Very Good
AAnonymous UserResort World may be old but it offers scenic water front that most hotels can't offer.
