If you decide to go without a tour, you should definitely do two things: be prepared for a long line and study information about the place in advance to understand the full scale 🤲 So take a tour to avoid all this 😅 And, of course, visiting Beijing and not visiting the Forbidden City is strange 😑★

John was very helpful, but unfortunately, despite having a ticket, entry took almost two hours. He said Tuesdays are always very popular. The crowds were well distributed throughout the city. Unfortunately, the treasury wasn't included in the booking, despite being described as such.★

We were part of a 20 people group and the focus was on cental area. The guide was knowledgeable and helpful. At some point we decided to explore the side areas on our own. It’s quite hot and the place is huge, better take an umbrella with you.
