A very experienced driver cum tour guide was assign to us. Experience in driving Yunan road. Do note where the final drop-off location is and insist you want to be drop off at the right gate stated , or else you might be at the wrong gate.

We had a fantastic trip from Lijiang to Shangri-la with many nice stops along the way. Despite our limited Chinese knowledge, our friendly driver tried to help us in the best way possible at all stops and told us nice anecdotes along the way. Despite the long drive, our driver was fresh and in good spirits the whole way.

We were the only two people who booked the afternoon mushroom picking session, and the tour guide was incredibly kind, picking us up and taking us back with a bountiful harvest! 1. The tour guide was fantastic and even helped us discover a whole new world of porcini mushrooms; 2. The full transportation was reassuring; 3. Barbecueing while enjoying the vast mountain scenery was incredibly therapeutic; Finally, a friendly reminder: be sure to bring an extra layer of clothing.

We chartered a private vehicle to travel directly to Shangri-La after trekking the Tiger Leaping Gorge Tea Horse Road, and it was incredibly convenient and satisfying. We were able to travel according to our trekking schedule, and it was especially great to be able to go straight to Shangri-La after finishing the trek without having to look up transportation separately. The customer service center was very kind when we had inquiries along the way, and the driver was friendly and drove comfortably. Reserving a private car or figuring out transportation methods for Tiger Leaping Gorge on your own can be a bit cumbersome, so I recommend chartering a vehicle if you are planning to travel directly to Shangri-La after the trek like we did. It seems like a really convenient option for travelers carrying luggage as well. Overall, it was a very satisfying experience!

Very good guide Mr.Jimmy. Take us to go all the very good scenic area. We are muslim. Take us to go to the muslim village and wonderful halal food and famous mosque. In the Tiger Leaping Gorge, he guides clearly.
