Best Hotels in Charleston

The room was clean as expected. The fact that they no longer clean and replace the towels daily was great to us. But for the price we paid we had the worst breakfast. I realize there is no kitchen in this facility and all they are capable of serving is pre made food that is reheated. However they have control over the quality of products. The worst eggs, not enough fruit for all the guests, the sausage and potatoes were also just warm. We have been staying at this hotel for twenty years since the family circle tennis which now is Credit one tennis was moved here. This will absolutely be our last stay.

We loved our stay at the Hampton Inn! Our only comments are the breakfast was okay (COVID restrictions limited the choices) and the hotel has a slight musty smell as it’s an older building. But you cannot ask for a better location and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend staying here!

Staff at the front desk was a bit dismissive and parking costs $20/night. Breakfast not included but there’s a restaurant on site. Pros: - great location, close to attractions, restaurants, shops - Wifi works well - rooms are relatively clean however I found a few hairs here and there - rooms are spacious enough - Check-in is at 4pm officially but our room was ready at 2pm so we could check in - mini fridge in room - the hotel is nicely furnished and decorated - 24-hour fitness center - 2 complimentary bottles of water - Coffee machine in the room Cons: - staff at the front desk could’ve been friendlier - bed too soft and pillows too thick - A/C didn’t work properly—the room was either ice cold or hot

I have stayed in downtown Charleston, West Ashley, & Mt.Pleasant many many times over the years and I finally decided to give the Indigo à try for a long 4 day weekend. From the time I arrived plenty of onsite parking, the bell hop whisked my luggage inside with a big smile and warm welcome....well that was just the start!! Everyone at the front desk smiling and welcoming the guests...the process was so fast and effortless and quick to point out complimentary coffees, water(still &sparkling) 24 hours. The the room was amazing. The whole hotel was clean &I felt like I was on a tropical resort. Poolside there is an indoor/outdoor bar with wonderful bartenders and the fried green tomatoes are a must try!! The made to order breakfast and staff were again on point in every level of service and we tried shrimp& grits, crab cake Benedict, omelette to orde, best bacon, I could continue but everything we ate was so hot& delicious. Then of course if you want to sightsee downtown or head out to any of the beaches or Islands it's a turn out the parking lot onto Hwy 17 and they are all within a 10 min drive This will be my new go to hotel toall my friends, family,& business associates!! ENJOY!!

Love this hotel, it was very hip and edgy. The location is a little bit outside of central downtown and the surroundings are a bit run down but I think they are working on it. I love the aesthetics of the hotel!

We stayed for three days and it was almost perfect: 1. Good location, not far from major attractions; 2. Beautiful environment, adjacent to high-end community, surrounded by small lakes, convenient supermarkets and restaurants; The room is comfortable and clean; 4. Breakfast is very rich and the meal is fast; 5. All services are in place.

We are Diamond members and selected this hotel because it used the fewest number of points. This hotel is fresh, modern, clean and new. Standard rooms were surprisingly large. No microwave, but did have a refrigerator. We had no issues with nouse from nearby rooms or hallway and slept well both nights in room 427 (did not face the main road). Large lobby with great hangout areas, pool table, board games, snacks/drinks for purchase, included breakfast and coffe/tea available all day. There is a nice, large fitness center with precor treadmills/elliptical that included tv which allowed for several live tv choices and you could even access your Netflix account. Hotel location allowed for easy access to shopping, downtown, Boone Hall Plantation, Shem Creek Park, Palmetto Islands County Park and park under the bridge. We ate dinner at Basil one night (upscale, Thai) and had smoothies, wraps and salads at Tasi Bites and Blends for lunch the next day (about 6 min drive from hotel). Just know most of the soap, bodywash in room has a strong lemon smell, so bring your own if you don't like lemon. Shampoo and condition was supposed to be some sort of beach scent, but reminded me of sunscreen. There is a hair dryer in the room, small desk, upholstered chair, ample storage space and a few hangers available. Overall, a surprisingly great stay. All staff were really friendly and our family felt welcome just hanging out in the lobby to watch a football game, sip our wine and play pool. We needed some time away with all the Covid restrictions and this was perfect. Rooms were well sanitized and very clean... so seemed like housekeeping staff was great too. The hotel was clean, breakfast was not good. Everything else was as expected.
