Step 1: Find Your Upcoming Trips

1. Open the App: To start, opening the Trip.com app on your phone.
2. Go to Account: At the bottom of the screen, you’ll see an icon labeled Account. Click and go to your account page.
3. Find Bookings: You can see a button in the middle called "Upcoming". Click to see your upcoming trips.

Step 2: Check Your Flight Status

1. Select Your Flight: Trough Upcoming page, you can see a list of flights you’ve booked. Select the one you want to check and tap on it.
2. Click on "Flight Status": To see more information about your baggage allowance, tap on the Flight Status button.

Step 3: Check Your Baggage Allowance

1. Find Baggage Details: After entering flight status, you can find a button that says Baggage Details and Tap on it to continue.
2. Check the Free Baggage Allowance: You will see how much free baggage is included with your ticket on Baggage Details page, which will show both carry-on and checked baggage allowances with the number of bags and the weight limits. For example, it might say that you’re allowed one carry-on bag weighing up to 5 kg and checked baggage up to 20 kg.

Step 4: Add Extra Baggage Allowance

Click on "Add Baggage Allowance": If you need more baggage after checking your free baggage allowance, tap the Add Baggage Allowance button on the Baggage Details page.

Step 5: Select Baggage Allowance From Multiple Options

1. Choose Extra Baggages: When tap on Add Baggage Allowance, you can see several options for adding more baggages. Choose how many extra kilograms you want, and Trip.com App will directly show you the cost for each option.
2. Smart Choice Option: Trip.com app provide a “Smart Choice” option, which is a popular baggage allowance choice that other travelers always select.

Avoid Extra Fees

Keep in mind that your bags will be weighed at the airport. If your baggage is over the limit included with your ticket, you might have to pay expensive fees. It’s better to add extra baggage in the app before your flight to avoid this.

Special Baggage

If you’re bringing large items like musical instruments or sports gear, contact the airline directly. These items might need extra baggage allowance. Thus, it's better to make sure whether your baggage allowance can work so you can buy extra allowance earlier. The prices at the airport can be much higher.
