It is a place I visit every time I come to Tokyo.
I go there primarily because there is so much to see around Ueno Station, but since I'm there anyway, I always make sure to look around the park. Whenever I feel suffocated in this massive city of Tokyo, I stop by to take a breather. There are also many museums and art-related places, so I recommend setting aside a full day to explore :)

Very relaxing park located at Uneonstation. Got some buskers as well as events in the park. What's more, many Japan tradition temples and shrine are inside awaiting you to explore💯

At Ueno Zoo in Tokyo, my soul was filled with the vitality of the animals. Walking into this green park, the surrounding noise is instantly replaced by a warm natural atmosphere. The various animals here seemed to invite me to explore deeper. From cute pandas to elegant giraffes, each animal amazed me.
I particularly loved the panda house; it was hilarious to see these adorable creatures lazily enjoying bamboo. At the same time, the proud posture of the giraffe and the steadiness of the elephant also made me feel the wonder and magnificence of nature. While observing them, I became more aware of the need to protect wildlife.
What touched me even more was that this was not just a zoo, but also a place to promote environmental awareness. The close interaction between animals and humans made me deeply realize the importance of harmonious coexistence. This experience at Ueno Zoo left me feeling moved and thoughtful, and I deeply felt the beauty of life.

It's a famous place because of the pandas. It was nice to take a leisurely walk, but the panda line was long and the items were too expensive, so I didn't buy anything. Instead, the admission fee was very cheap. It was about 5,000 won? I looked around and had a lot to see. There are many art galleries and museums in front, so it would be nice to walk around the park and go into the ones you want to see!

You can see the twin pandas who live separately in the West Garden now. The male, Xiao Xiao, lives in a large enclosure called Panda Forest, and you can often hear him roaring and eating bamboo. The female, Lei Lei, lives in a glass-walled outdoor enclosure, and when she climbs up a tower to take a nap, she disappears from view.
