Stayed here after more than 15 years. Booked the grand king bed and it was enormous. Arrived at 1pm and check in was completed in 5 minutes. Fantastic amenities with cable tv. Strong very hot shower. View of the swimming pool. Bed was comfortable but the pillows were too hard. Had a stiff neck the next day. Great food all around the hotel. Overall a wonderful stay.

Hello, I want to thank you, your apartment is very nice and clean, the facilities are also good and the equipment in the apartment is also complete. My family and I are very happy to stay here, the service is also very good, customer service is responsive in responding to messages, all security is friendly, there is bridge access to the mall too. There is no problem staying here. However, I may give a suggestion for the room or on the bathroom door if possible, provide a hanger to hang clothes or pants. This apartment is large with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms so it is highly recommended for a staycation with family and also has a balcony with a beautiful view.

recently stayed at Holiday Villa Johor Bahru City Centre and had a wonderful experience. The hotel is in a very convenient location, close to shopping malls, restaurants, and only a short drive from the Singapore border, which makes it perfect for both leisure and quick getaways. The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The bed was soft and relaxing, and the view from the room was beautiful, especially at night. One of the highlights of the hotel is the rooftop pool. It’s a great place to relax, enjoy the city view, and unwind after a long day. The facilities were well-maintained and the atmosphere was very pleasant. Highly recommended.

This was our second stay at St Giles Hotel Southkey, and it continues to be a solid choice for a short getaway. One of the biggest advantages of this hotel is definitely its location—it’s directly connected to Mid Valley Southkey, so shopping, dining, and entertainment are just a few steps away. It’s also quite accessible, only about a 15-minute drive from JB Sentral. This time, we booked the Urban Twin Room, which comes with two single beds. The room felt quite spacious and comfortable, with enough space to move around and store our belongings without feeling cramped. The bathroom is functional and clean, though it only comes with a shower and no bathtub, which might be a downside for those who prefer soaking tubs. Our rate included breakfast for two, and we were also given a welcome drink at L28 Café, which was a nice touch and a pleasant way to start our stay. Unfortunately, the breakfast itself was a letdown—many of the dishes were either overcooked or undercooked, which affected the overall dining experience. Overall, it’s a comfortable and well-located hotel, though the breakfast quality could definitely be improved.

Breakfast at Oliva cafe was great. But on the 2nd morning which coincides with Xmas day, the service was not too great. Too a while to replenish food 😅 might be due to lack of staff? I don't know. The best point is the location, near (walking distance) to mid valley south key mall but not the same pricey tag to st Giles. Room is clean and functional. I like that I can control the thermostat

The hotel is located in a convenient spot, especially if you are driving. They were having Ramadan buffet promo during my trip but it is a short drive to lots of nice restaurants. We tried Teck Sing for their curry fishhead and paper wrapped herbal chicken (prepare to queue) and Ah Soon BKT. Car park is free for hotel guest. Room design looks dated and lighting is adequate but could be brighter. Toilet looks like it belongs to a different decade. The shower curtain rod was bent and looks flimsy. Overall it is alright for a night stay but they should definitely update their rooms. Plenty of new boutique hotels around for the same price.

My husband and I had a pleasant stay here! We were warmly greeted by receptionist Aini if I’m not mistaken. We were extremely grateful when she gave is the early check in and birthday cake specially for my husband’s birthday. The room was extremely comfortable and the facilities provided by the hotel was amazing. To top it all off, the breakfast spread was too good to be true haha. The concept of having the infused and sugar syrup intrigued me!

Service was very good, friendly and helpful front desk/reservation office. I had a request as it was my son's actual birthday on the date we checked in and the hotel kindly arranged for a complimentary slice of cake. The hotel itself is a bit dated but rooms were clean and spacious. We had 2 smoking rooms on the 13th floor which had a nice view. The AC worked well, the bed was comfortable and the fridge did cool our drinks. Usual toiletries were provided, no hand towels though. Water pressure was alright but you may need to request for a bathtub stopper (if needed) as this was missing from both our rooms. TV channels were a bit spotty, in one room all movie channels were grainy and in the other room it was actually worse, could only see a few local channels. Wi-fi signal was strong. Power points were far from bedside which is to me a major drawback as I could not charge my devices conveniently next to the bed. In one room, one of the power points did not work and we had to use the kettle power point as the other was underneath the vanity table. We didn't bother to call maintenance as we were only there for one night. Location was good, it's not in the city itself but not very far, maybe 10-15 mins by Grab. There's quite a few food outlets nearby if you're willing to walk out of the property. It's also attached to a mall but I think the duty free outlet was being renovated. We didn't really walk around the mall so can't comment. Seems a bit limited though. There's a 7-11 downstairs at the hotel itself for any snack emergencies. Lots of clubs and nightlife immediately outside the hotel but it didn't really interfere with hotel guests so that's fine. Breakfast was a bit underwhelming but wasn't terrible. There was no live egg station which is always a disappointment as the pre-prepared eggs became rather dry and unappealing. I saw bread and butter pudding tag which I thought was a nice, however it was not replenished while I was there so couldn't try. Overall, I guess it's alright for the price point.

The hotel's location is excellent; it's right across the road from the Johor Bahru checkpoint, just through the mall. There's also Haidilao downstairs, along with various cafes and bakeries. The hotel room was spacious enough. However, the only downside, and a very disappointing one, is the extremely poor soundproofing! There's a connecting door within the room that's shoddily sealed. We could hear everything from the next room, and even see the light through the door gap. If someone with ill intent were to spread a virus or something similar, it could easily lead to terrible consequences. The hotel's Wi-Fi was also incredibly unstable, disconnecting every five minutes, which was extremely frustrating. The hotel breakfast was also very unappetizing. Please choose carefully.
