We got to the hotel around 10:30am after checking out of the hotel on the Riverside. It was raining so we wanted to stay indoors so the hotel staff helped to take the luggage so that we could get our lunch outside. After finishing our lunch, we still had a lot of time left before the check-in time but since it was raining, we just stayed inside the lobby using wifi. We got the room on the 5th floor even when we requested to get the high floor since the hotel was fully booked. We were so tired when we got inside the room so we freshened up but the noise from upstairs was pretty bad. We didn't mind the noise at first but it kept on continuing throughout the night. I woke up around 2am because of the loud noise, thumping sound like someone walking but who would do that at that time. It also happened early in the morning. We had another 4 night booking at the same hotel.

The room size was decent, not small by Japanese standards. The decor felt quite new. They even had Braille identification at the elevator, which was a nice touch. The hotel is right in the city center, making transportation very convenient. It's really close to the Peace Memorial Park and Atomic Bomb Museum, just a few minutes' walk. The area felt safe and quiet. My only minor gripe was that there was a front desk staff member on the first day, but I didn't see them on the subsequent two days. It seems like many hotels in Japan are moving towards self check-in now, which I'm still getting used to as I don't visit often.

We had the best stay ever in this hotel with its sumptuous breakfast buffet offering Hiroshimas’ food delicacies and has variety of food selection from Japanese to western style food menu. The best location and accessible and walking distance to many places like shopping district and Atomic Bomb Dome.

The room is really tiny. No space to put luggage. After open luggage cannot walk. Breakfast is so miserable limited quantities people have to startquwuing before it start else nothing left to eat. Dining area so small not enough seats. People have to pack to eat in room. Good thing is we can pack and bring out. To make things worsen is there is 2 hotels of the same name..no. 1 and 2 so near each other. The day we arrived is raining heavily and we ended up at the hotel no. 1

Everything about this hotel is excellent. The room is slightly dated but very well kept, nice view overlooking the city. Staff were helpful, friendly and attentive. Their pyjamas are some of the best I’ve ever worn. They have a guest-exclusive lounge on top floor which offers refreshments throughout the day (with a really nice view).

The hotel's location is great, very close to Hiroshima Station, and it's quiet at night. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the room had all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. Overall, a good experience.

Pros: It's relatively close to Hiroshima Station, about a 12-minute walk, so the location is quite convenient. Breakfast: To my surprise, it was Matsuya… pretty average. Cons: For a hotel in Japan, not having an air purifier means there's an excessive amount of dust. After sleeping for just one night, I accumulated a lot of phlegm in my throat. The step into the bathroom is incredibly high, almost comically so, probably around 20 centimeters. I found it quite dangerous. The front desk is on the second floor, but you have to take an elevator to get there, and also to come back down. I think this is very inconvenient during peak hours and also poses a fire safety hazard. Overall, I don't recommend this Koko hotel…

The hotel is quite convenient from the station. You just follow the underground passage, take the escalator on your left, cross the river, and you're there. I took the staff's advice and quickly went to Miyajima, which helped me avoid the heavy rain the next day. Dining options in the area are also very convenient.

I used it with a high school student. I couldn't change the room in a smoking room. I regret that I should have checked it firmly at the time of booking. It is a good location for simple users who use it alone and only take the Shinkansen, but if you are traveling with children or family, there are no restaurants unless you go to the city. The nearby izakaya was refused that there were minors. I didn't eat it, but I thought that the curry that was provided free of charge as dinner was also great for those who used it alone.

Room was super spacious, which is hard to find in Japan. It was a suite with the living room added with 2 extra bed. A little kitchenette. 2 WC and a shower/bath tub. Location is close to Blue tram, Chuden-Mae stop. 10mins walk to shopping street and Atomic Peace Dome. Stayed for one night.

LLinussIt was a nice stay. We took a Junior Suite with the private onsen included. The room is not huge, but has everything needed and is cozy enough. There are many amenities (in the pure Japanese hotel tradition) as well as a ”Yukata bar” in which you can choose your fav yukata. The biggest perk of the room is obviously the private onsen, which is a truly hidden gem. Very relaxing with a nice seaview. Staff was very helpful with the clogged sink (came just a few minutes after we called). The dinner was an impressive buffet, with a wide choice of seafood both to cook (the oysters, abalone and other shells to be grilled were wow) and raw (ikura all you can eat). Besides that, there was a steak live cooking station, shabu shabu as well as sukiyaki. Definitely a recommended stay!

CChoi lingExcept for the Japanese dinner, everything else is satisfactory! The hotel is a 6-7 minute walk to Itsukushima Shrine. Breakfast is a buffet and dinner is Kaiseki cuisine. From the appetizer to the dessert, everything is not delicious! I have stayed in at least five or six Japanese traditional hot spring hotels with breakfast and dinner. This one has the worst dinner. The hot spring facilities are also very old!

Amazing
葛安杰Right up the hill, our room had a view of the Torii, and the onsen is great, with an inside and outside option. They also offered to drive us to and from the ferry, but it’s such a short walk, we didn’t mind. The famous white tanuki is sometimes seen nearby, and around the corner the best anago meshi in town.

GGuest UserGood location, less than 1km from Onomichi Station. For those arriving by Shinkansen, the hotel is about 4km from Shin-Onomichi Station. Excellent Japanese breakfast. Only downside: the bed is a bit small.

GGuest UserWe have had a great stay at Onomichi Royal hotel. The hotel has clearly just been renovated - everything is super new and in a great state. We've had both dinner and breakfast at the restaurant in the hotel, which has been delicious. We used the hotel as the start and end point of our 2-day Shimanami Kaido cycling tour. It being only a 15-minute walk from the train station, the location was very practical for us. They were kind enough to store our luggage during our cycling tour. We were really impressed with the hospitality and quality of our stay.

Amazing
GGuest UserThe hotel offers aesthetically impressive rooms that match the pictures, with the breathtaking view surpassing all expectations in person. The staff also provided excellent service in accommodating food intolerances. Unfortunately, the culinary experience was disappointing; the food was too mild and underwhelming for the price paid. Furthermore, the Onsen facility was inadequate: it lacked variety with only 2 warm pools and a steam sauna, offered no varying water temperatures (and the cold plunge pool was not cold enough). Additionally, the desired peaceful atmosphere was disrupted by having more of a socializing gathering in the onsen, which lowered the overall impression and value of the wellness area. In summary: excellent rooms but we would have expected more value for money regarding the food and spa.

GGuest UserWe had a wonderful time enjoying the onsen bath, recliner lounge, ocean terrace and beautiful view from our room (Note: trip.com booking of lowest priced room with sea view is not correct as the room is located at the lowest level and you only see trees before the ocean. We need to pay extra to upgrade the room to a better view). There's a private onsen bath tub in the room too. They also provide free coffee, popsicle sticks and yukata at the lobby. Dinner and breakfast has a reasonable spread but most food (especially the fried ones) are pre-cooked and cold. So they don't taste as good. The location is high up the hills. It's not possible to get a bus and then climb up with heavy luggages. The best way is to take a taxi, so be prepared to pay the price.
