The Old Summer Palace (Yuanmingyuan) preserves the ruins of its past, a testament to foreign invasion. It's easy to imagine its former splendor and grandeur. The tour guide explained that the reason it's no longer restored is to ensure future generations remember the painful lessons of history—a truly regrettable situation.

Very beautiful garden. Best to visit during spring. Tulips, Peony, orchids, green house, peach blossom, cherry blossoms and many more. Be prepared to walk a lot and it's a popular spot for the locals during the spring.

The moment you step into the Forbidden City, the red walls and yellow tiles, imbued with six hundred years of history, rush towards you. Every brick and tile between the halls carries the warmth of history. Walking slowly along the central axis, you can witness the grandeur of the imperial architecture and feel the everyday life of bygone days in the details. Even in the height of summer when there are many tourists, finding shade under the trees to watch the corner towers reflected in the clear water instantly brings a sense of peace. It's a cultural feast that you absolutely cannot miss when visiting Beijing.

Half the zoo is old and rusty. A third of the animals are matted (most likely from shedding that's not being brushed out), the animals are lying in the mud, and there are a lot of empty enclosures. One panda out of four was missing. Overall, the experience was good. There's no point in skipping the Akionarium; it'll be bigger and better in any major Russian city.

Beijing Weather: Autumn in Beijing

Riding a beach buggy on the sand, the wind howls, making your hair fly wildly, sand splashes up and hits your legs, cool and refreshing. Let's start again: Riding a beach buggy on the sand, the wind howls, making your hair fly wildly, sand splashes up and hits your legs, cool and refreshing. Driving along the coastline, leaving a long trail of sand behind you, waves crashing and wetting the tires, salty seawater splashing on your face, driving to the edge of a big wave and then turning around—it's thrilling and exhilarating, so much more comfortable than being cooped up in a car.

Beijing's Happy Valley amusement park is a great option if you missed Universal Studios or are simply looking for a thrill. It's one of China's largest theme parks, boasting flagship roller coasters and a vibrant atmosphere. Adrenaline Rides: Some of the best rides in China are here. Be sure to try the "Crystal Wings" (a head-down ride) and the "Extreme Racer" (80m high, speeds up to 135 km/h). The "Himalaya" musical roller coaster also receives excellent reviews. · Themed Zones: The park is divided into seven zones (Atlantis, Shangri-La, and others), offering a varied ride experience. · Shows: The evening light show and the "Golden Dynasty" performance (praised for its special effects and storytelling) are often the highlight of the day.

The mountains and rivers are magnificent, and the scenery is unparalleled, but with the holiday season in early April, it's incredibly crowded, making it impossible to properly appreciate the beauty.

Great experience. The admission starts at 6:30pm. Performance along the way from admission entrance to the actual Wall. When we started climbing the Wall, there was still daylight. While we climbing the Wall, the sun gradually set. The lights came on. It was beautiful. You actually get 3 states of the Great Wall in one tour. There's way less people there at night also. We only bought the admission tickets, didn't buy cable car tickets. We feel the cable car isn't necessary. We thoroughly enjoyed our time.

Really pretty, just ended with a sour note of heavy rain in the end. But it truly is worth climbing and watch the scenery. The ice creams was really pretty but not worth it. Me and my friends had chocolate, milk/yoghurt and grape and honestly only the chocolate and milk one were decent. When you buy the ice creams it’s only for aesthetic not the taste.

Convenient transfer to and from the wall. We paid the guide 140 yuan per person for the roundtrip cable car ride on the bus. The section of the wall itself is very short, which I didn't expect. For a longer walk, choose the section beginning with the letter M.
