Ms. Hu warmly welcomed us six foreign tourists to Beijing. She was an energetic and engaging guide, and spent the entire afternoon with us. She gave us a deep understanding of Beihai Park, sharing detailed information about the features and small details of each building and attraction (such as how to pay homage to Buddha). Thank you, Ms. Hu!
Beijing Zoo

The zoo has some beautiful and interesting animals, including rare species that I had never seen before. Overall, it is a good place to visit and gives you the chance to see animals you might not find elsewhere. However, during my visit, some animals such as the giraffes and the bears were not available, and I’m not sure why. There were also many empty enclosures, which I believe were due to ongoing renovations. The construction and maintenance work was noticeable and may have been slightly disturbing for both visitors and the animals. The aquarium section did not feel very well maintained, and in general, the zoo seems a bit old. That said, it still serves its purpose well. One of the main highlights is the panda — pandas are very special and mainly found in China, so seeing them makes the visit worthwhile.Overall, the zoo is suitable for solo visitors, families, and children. It’s a decent experience and worth a visit, especially if you want to see pandas.

A truly magnificent place, a must-see. Take the funicular up; it's easier to descend on your own. The journey from the city center to the wall took 1.5 hours (metro to the station, then an express train 20 minutes to the destination). We purchased express train tickets separately (200-300 rubles per person).

This section is very accessible and still has great scenery. I recommend going in the morning if you want to capture the sunrise on the background of the mountains. If you plan on taking the 877 bus back to Beijing, keep in mind that it only runs after 11 am.
