I thought the walls would be high, but not that high. It's absolutely mesmerizing. We were there in March, so keep in mind that it's cold in the mornings and you'll need warm clothes, but it's warm during the day. I was lucky enough to even bring a hat and gloves. The place itself is truly beautiful and mesmerizing. If you immerse yourself in Chinese history and imagine what it was like there, it's simply amazing.

It's a historical site well worth a visit to learn about. The palace is very large, but access is limited each day. Buying tickets through Trip.com makes visiting much easier in China.

It's a truly stunning place! Tip: Allow at least three hours to explore the main areas, as the grounds are enormous. It's best to arrive at opening time to take photos without the crowds.

🛕 The Temple of Heaven

Temple of Heaven

Searching for a serene walk that exudes a sense of imperial authority? Emperors used to pray for bountiful harvests at the Temple of Heaven, which is a must-see.

  • 📍 Approximately 35 km from the airport, it is located in Dongcheng District
  • 🚆To get to Tiantan Dongmen Station, simply take the Airport Express, change to Subway Line 5, and get off.
  • 🕒 It takes approximately 1 to 1.2 hours.
  • 🌳 There's a feeling about the large open parks, lovely halls, and tai chi practitioners.

💡 Hint: See the villagers playing traditional instruments, stretching, or dancing in the morning.

I really liked it. Make sure to walk the entire park; it's beautiful. When you get to the temple, there's a spot where all the tourists take photos. But if you walk a little further, it's more or less peaceful, and you can take some nice pictures too. There are lots of beautiful girls taking photos there. Don't be shy about approaching them and taking a photo too; I was embarrassed and now I regret it. I went with my mom, and she was also delighted 🥰

A beautiful temple, gorgeous locations, a nice park, an iconic and popular place in Beijing, I recommend visiting.

A must-see and immerse yourself in Chinese history. But it's completely uninteresting for children. It's too crowded. There's no place to sit or escape the sun on the temple grounds. People sit right on the steps and eat outside. Souvenir prices are quite high. I was expecting a better park, that there would be lots of flowers, but there aren't any. The roses are all wilted and poor, it's hot. I saw some peonies planted, but they were already finished blooming. There were no other flowers. And you can stroll among the pines and other trees like you would in your homeland, although China has a lot of greenery. Good job planting trees and shrubs everywhere.

  • 🕒 Approximately one to one and a half hours, depending on transfers.

💡 Advice: Rent a boat on Kunming Lake; the sunset views are especially breathtaking!

It's a very authentic and cultural experience. You can pick out an outfit and stroll around the sights in it, feeling like either a princess or the emperor's brother. But I chose a bodyguard outfit. Not the most popular, since everyone wants to be emperor. ))) After this walk, we ended up buying a new outfit for my wife and taking it home with us. We highly recommend it if you want to immerse yourself in the atmosphere of ancient China during the Ming Dynasty. Just ask for dressy shoes to complete the look. Thank you for such a great experience.

The place is great! We took a tour with a Russian-speaking guide, but the guide never contacted us. It turned out we just bought expensive tickets online, even though there were no lines at the ticket counter. A strange offer from trip.com. And the listed tour address wasn't accurate. The listed address is actually a police dormitory. From there, we had to walk 5-7 minutes to the entrance.
