As a frequent business traveler to Guangzhou, the Jianguo Hotel is always my go-to. I genuinely recommend it to all business travelers – it's my absolute must-stay whenever I'm in Guangzhou! The location is unbeatable, right next to Guangzhou East Railway Station and a subway entrance, making commutes to Shenzhen and Hong Kong, or getting around the city's various business districts, incredibly convenient. There are plenty of malls and restaurants nearby, so all your dining and shopping needs are easily met. The hotel's service is meticulous and thoughtful; the front desk and dining staff are always responsive. The rooms are quiet and tidy, perfect for both working and resting, making for an excellent business trip experience. The biggest surprise, though, was the hotel breakfast. It used to be over a hundred RMB per person, but now it's only 58 RMB – incredible value for money! The variety of food is extensive, with a dedicated whole-grain section featuring corn, sweet potatoes, and various whole-grain pastries. They also offer a wide selection of freshly baked bread, Cantonese dim sum, made-to-order noodles, fresh fruits, and a range of teas and coffees. Whether you're looking for something light and healthy or a hearty meal, they've got you covered. A good breakfast before meeting clients really energizes you for the whole day. Considering the location, service, and dining, this hotel is my top choice for business trips. I'll definitely be staying at Jianguo Hotel on all my future visits to Guangzhou!FromPLN 198

Oakwood Premier is extremely convenient - just one metro station ride on Line 1 from Guangzhou East rail station, and <10 mins walk from Exit A.
The check in, restaurant and housekeeping staff members are courteous and responsive to our needs - extra towels, restaurant bookings etc. It is a welcoming change from other hotel chains in other countries which we experienced lately.
The room is clean and spacious. There is however too many furniture (probably due to accommodating long term guests who need plenty of storage). Less furniture would be ideal with more walking space and effective opening of doors, eg bedroom door, if open, will block access to the wardrobe door.
The breakfast buffet spread is sufficient - Chinese and western dishes. The dining room is huge, bright and spacious with large windows. The F&B knowledge could be improved though eg having available the appropriate condiments with the buffet items (calamari rings, delicious but no dips to go with), fresh waffle with no maple syrup (just 4 different fruit jams and 1 peanut butter options), crispy bacon (but not cripsy in reality), Chinese dim sum (with no chili oil/sauce, vinegar etc) at lukewarm temperature (the steaming switch was deliberately kept at OFF though I switched it to ON several times.)
We will be back though. The value is in the location, clean and spacious room. Not the food.FromPLN 429

I had a very pleasant stay at the Asia International Hotel. I was extremely satisfied with the overall experience. The breakfast was extensive and offered a wide variety of options, all while enjoying a beautiful panoramic view, which made the mornings even more special.
The swimming pool was also a great addition—clean, relaxing, and perfect to unwind after a busy day.
What stood out most was the staff. They were very friendly and helpful, and communication in English was excellent, which made everything easy and comfortable.
I would definitely recommend this hotel and would gladly stay here again.FromPLN 272

Guangzhou East Railway Station/Wushan Guangzhou|0.69km from city center
We booked this hotel specifically for the 40th-floor kids' club, but it turned out to be a bit of a letdown.
We came to Guangzhou with our child, and after seeing many reviews praising the Westin's indoor kids' club on the 40th floor, we decided to stay here. Unfortunately, the kids' club was quite disappointing – there was a strong, pungent smell inside. I'm not sure if it's been recently renovated, but even as an adult, I felt a bit dizzy after a few minutes, let alone letting my child play in there. On top of that, it only opens at 12 PM daily, and there wasn't a single staff member in sight, which honestly made me a bit uneasy.
However, putting the kids' club aside, the rest of the hotel was excellent. Our stay on the executive floor was very satisfying, with attentive service. The breakfast selection was rich and varied, with plenty of options for both adults and children. The location is also very convenient, close to shopping and dining. While the heated pool isn't huge, the water temperature was comfortable and perfectly adequate for children to splash around in.
Overall, if you're booking this hotel solely for the kids' club, like we did, you might want to reconsider. I hope the hotel addresses the indoor air quality issue, as health and safety are paramount when traveling with children. However, if you're here for a business trip or prioritize the executive benefits, this hotel is definitely worth staying at.FromPLN 332

Pros:
The hotel has an excellent location, close to many well-known restaurants and shopping malls, making it very convenient to get almost anything you need.
The staff were polite and always greeted us warmly. They also tried their best to fulfil my requests noted in the booking remarks. As I was travelling with elderly parents, they kindly arranged anti-slip mats for every bathroom. Many tables were also fitted with protective coverings to help reduce the risk of injury.
Cons:
The bathroom floor towel had a lipstick stain. I also requested a bolster, but instead received two pillows tied together, which was a bit disappointing. The lift can be quite slow.

I originally booked this hotel for the pool, but unfortunately, it was closed for cleaning, so I didn't get to use it. The location is super convenient, very close to Guangzhou East Station, which was one of the main reasons I chose it. Decided to stay at a 5* hotel as it was my birthday. Room was smaller than expected and the check in lady said room was upgraded which didn’t appear to be as room appeared to be basic. As it was my bday i asked the hotel if they had anything complimentary for someone celebrating their bday to which she said fruit platter then added some dim sum..acceptable but would be nice if they arranged without me asking.
Hotel is a bit old and they were renovating so very noisy during day. The breakfast was very good as had good variety of food. Location is also convenient as 2 mins from metro.

I've stayed at many hotels, and this Sofitel stay easily makes it into my top three. It's not about how luxurious it is, but rather how effortless and comfortable the stay felt. The room layout was well-designed, the light switches and outlets were conveniently placed, and the bathroom towels were thick and absorbent – getting these details right really makes a difference to the experience. For service, Dion and Mia💖🍥 truly stood out. When I checked in, I mentioned that I'm a light sleeper and sensitive to noise. They immediately checked room availability and switched me to an inner-facing room. As expected, I slept wonderfully those two nights, with absolutely no noise. Dion even messaged me after I checked out to say I'm welcome back anytime and to contact them in advance if I have any special requests. Their attentiveness in listening to guests' needs and then following through is truly rare and commendable. Five-star rating, well-deserved.FromPLN 332

Facilities: Well-equipped, American-style decor, everything is online and timeless.
Hygiene: Established cleanliness, but details like table corners could use more attention.
Environment: You can shop, eat, drink, play, and visit a museum all within the hotel.
Service: Everyone is on point, and the switchboard processes calls immediately.
As the only national brand among China's three platinum five-star hotels, it boasts unique historical and cultural elements, and is a symbol of China's reform and opening-up. Its history and ethos are evident. My first impression during check-in was that everyone was very busy; while check-in was slow, the staff were very pleasant. As a Lingkehui Gold Card member, in addition to a room upgrade, I also received complimentary breakfast and executive lounge access. If room availability allows, late checkout until 2 PM is possible. The hotel has a very high occupancy rate, with many foreign guests and airline crew. There might be some communication gaps between departments like housekeeping and restaurants. This time, my Deluxe King room was upgraded to a Red Kapok King Suite. The room, being older, combined with ongoing government construction nearby, meant the soundproofing was a bit lacking. The extra bed was too soft and a bit uncomfortable, and some other hardware in the room was a bit dated, but it didn't detract too much from the stay. On the first floor, there's an outdoor back garden with a small waterfall, both popular photo spots. I saw many people taking pictures, it was lively. The ornamental fish in the pond were huge. On the 4th floor, there's a free, public Garden Hotel Museum (closed Mondays), which is well worth a visit, explaining the development history of various hotels and just how amazing Garden Hotel is. You really must spend some time exploring it. The gym (well-equipped) and outdoor swimming pool (not heated) are on the other side of the 4th floor, with two squash courts (reservation required). All hotel signage is in Chinese, English, and Japanese. There's currently construction outside the hotel (the typical 'dong dong dong' sound of Guangzhou)... You really should experience our Garden Hotel with its Lingnan characteristics.FromPLN 474

This is a classic hotel in the heart of Guangzhou, and its location is really good. The exterior also looks quite grand. The rooms are spacious, and the views from them are very nice. You can also go up to the 63rd floor for an even better view. Breakfast was decent, but it was a shame that during my three-day stay, the noodle station only had a chef on the last morning. I found the front desk service quite subpar. I waited in line for ages, and several male receptionists kept ignoring me or shunting me to a different queue. They were busy chatting casually with the guests in front of them and didn't bother calling the next person. They spent half an hour on pointless conversation, and it felt like it would never end. I was so annoyed waiting that they finally called out a female receptionist from the back to help me with my room card. Also, in the lobby, we were dragging our luggage around, and no staff member came over to offer assistance. Overall, I felt there was hardly any service.
There's no self-service laundry room, which I think is a significant drawback. Since there are no room service robots, I had to go up and down to collect my food orders every time, which was a real hassle.
The room hygiene was good, but I find it incredibly stingy for a five-star hotel to charge for a tiny bit of coke and other items in the minibar. Many hotels now offer complimentary minibars.
To sum it up: excellent location, outdated facilities, and a poor service experience.FromPLN 321

No frills, just beautiful scenery at every turn, adorned with pink or purple flowers. There's no revolving door, but someone always opens the door for you when you come and go. There are always staff guiding you to the elevator, and someone to help with your luggage, open car doors, and handle bags. The pool has three lifeguards, and drinks and water are complimentary. Towels are UV-sterilized and handed directly to you. In the evenings, turndown service is completed, and breakfast tags are neatly placed. You'll never see anyone walking around in slippers because the guest room notice prohibits it in public areas. Everything is service-oriented. Next time, I'll still choose The Ritz-Carlton. It's well worth the money. A good brand hotel should absolutely avoid becoming a family resort; it ruins everything! However, the soundproofing of the room door is lacking, and the noise from guests entering and exiting the adjacent room in the morning can be quite loud.FromPLN 802

Decided to take a spontaneous trip during the May Day holiday and looked into nearby resorts. Mulian Zhuang came highly recommended for its overall value for money, so we decided to give it a try. We arrived on the afternoon of the 30th, which helped us avoid the peak rush. From the parking attendant to the front desk staff and the shuttle bus driver, everyone was incredibly friendly and professional. The front desk kindly upgraded our room to one by the lake, which was incredibly comfortable and offered a more peaceful environment. The first day was a bit chilly, but lying on the balcony deckchair, listening to the birds and the sound of the water, was incredibly relaxing. It really helped us achieve our vacation goals, haha! The hotel itself is designed like a garden, with rooms scattered across the hillside, connected by small paths. This layout ensures minimal disturbance between guests. Taking a leisurely stroll around is lovely, and if you don't feel like walking, you can always 'call' for the park shuttle, which is very convenient. I stumbled upon this hotel online, and it's not too far from Guangzhou. When I booked, I mentioned it was for a birthday, and they were thoughtful enough to arrange some birthday decorations. I think both the service and the room were quite good. The environment is also lovely, with a large green area and fresh air, a nice escape from the city bustle, which is very relaxing. My main critique is that the food needs improvement, and the hot spring pools too – there were too many leaves and no one seemed to be clearing them out. The experience wasn't great. This was my first time staying in the main building, and overall it was a good experience. The room service was very attentive and friendly. The only downside was that half of the sixth floor was under renovation. We were staying on the other side of the sixth floor, so there was a bit of noise, but we spent most of our time in the hot spring area, so it didn't bother us much.
A special shout-out: it happened to be my birthday during this stay! The front desk staff noticed when I checked in and specially arranged for a birthday cake. When we went to eat at the German Beer Plaza, we were surprised with longevity noodles and a fruit platter. I also received gifts of mugwort, a mugwort hammer, and a steam eye mask. It was truly full of surprises and made me feel so special!
I've been to Bishuiwan several times now, and I'm always drawn back by the hotel's warm service. The food at both restaurants is delicious, and every visit leaves me feeling completely relaxed. The room was very spacious, and the courtyard environment was quite pleasant with almost no insects, making evenings quite comfortable.
However, could the bed linen, living room pillowcases, and chair cushions be changed more frequently? They were a bit dirty; I didn't even dare to sit on them.
The hot spring bath was very comfortable; the water could be refilled endlessly without extra charge, which was great. The pool was also quite clean.

The room was excellent, with a good amount of space. The front desk upgraded us to a high-floor smart room, which was spotlessly clean. The disposable amenities were a bit basic but covered the essentials, and the toiletries for washing and showering were of good quality. The service was also great; perhaps because of the high temperatures during the day, the hotel even provided herbal tea to every guest, which was very much appreciated! Although this hotel is rated 4-star, I felt it was better than some 5-star hotels in Guangzhou. The breakfast and lunch offerings were both very good, and there's even morning tea available on the top floor. Coming back to the room in the evening, I found the bed already turned down, and my slippers neatly placed by the bedside with a towel underneath. There were also three late-night snacks on the table, which instantly warmed my heart. Thank you so much for your thoughtful service.FromPLN 609

Feels like home – A true Guangzhou representative! The service is incredibly warm, and it's rich in history and culture. It's my loss for not having stayed here before. I'd definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Guangzhou, even though this trip was a bit rushed. It's super convenient for business during the day, and at night, there are tons of great food options nearby. Fantastic!FromPLN 304

Location & Surroundings: The hotel is situated in Huacheng Hui Central, surrounded by numerous shopping malls, making it convenient for shopping and dining. From the hotel lobby, you can see the Canton Tower and the East and West Towers. The only minor inconvenience is that the hotel lobby is on the 22nd floor, while guest rooms are on floors below the lobby. So, every time you return to your room, you have to take one elevator to the 22nd floor, and then another elevator down to your room floor.
Service: Overall, the service was quite good, but food deliveries are not allowed to be brought to the room; only other types of deliveries are permitted.
Room Layout & Facilities: I stayed in a twin room. The room's layout and flow weren't very practical. Upon entering, you have to navigate a narrow turn before reaching the bedroom area. The shower and bathtub are right next to each other, and there are very few flat surfaces in the room to place belongings, including by the bedside.FromPLN 487

My first time in Guangzhou was fantastic! I'll definitely be staying here again next time I visit. The staff were all so kind and welcoming. As soon as my taxi pulled up, someone was there to help with my luggage. The room was huge and super clean, and the extensive use of red cave stone was really beautiful. The bedding and linens were high-thread-count and very comfortable. Plus, having a mall right downstairs made shopping incredibly convenient. They were also very prompt and professional in helping resolve any issues. My trip was too rushed this time to try the dining or the cakes, but next time I'd love to stay a whole day without even leaving the hotel!FromPLN 796

The room was very spacious, and the view was also great! The service was attentive in all aspects, and the staff were always smiling, which made us very satisfied. It's perfect for traveling with children, super comfortable!
The only drawback was a sewer-like smell near the bed. At first, we thought it was coming from the bathroom, but later realized it seemed to be from the bed or the bedding itself...
Since we discovered it too late and there was a storm, we didn't bother to address it. 🥲FromPLN 871

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Surprise Suite Upgrade! Absolutely Perfect Experience!
My stay at China Hotel Guangzhou this time was such a pleasant surprise! I originally booked a standard room, but to my delight, our customer manager Sandy thoughtfully upgraded us to a suite for free 🏠! The space was huge, offering plenty of room to move around, and having a separate living room and bedroom meant we didn't disturb each other's schedules – absolutely ideal for a family trip!
The room had an expansive view, and the floor-to-ceiling windows provided excellent natural light ☀️. The food street on the first floor is also a must-visit; the bamboo pole noodles were perfectly springy, and the winter melon and fish porridge was delightfully fresh and sweet. It was both convenient and authentic dining. The hotel's location right by the subway entrance made getting around incredibly easy. Sandy's service was truly impeccable, attentive, and incredibly warm-hearted ❤️. Next time I'm in Guangzhou, I'm definitely staying here and asking for Sandy!FromPLN 335

Our stay was wonderful. Housekeeper Julie was our point of contact throughout, making communication very easy, and all our requests during the stay were promptly met. Maggie at the front desk handled our check-in efficiently and smoothly, making the whole process hassle-free. We were very interested in the sky bar, and Vivi was exceptionally enthusiastic in showing us around and giving a detailed introduction. Joplin was also equally warm and attentive. The hotel offers expansive high-altitude views, and its design blends Eastern aesthetics, exuding elegance everywhere. Overall, it was a very comfortable stay, and we will definitely choose this hotel again next time we visit Guangzhou.FromPLN 1,095

The hotel is wow!
They have free transportation from terminals. If you arrived at terminal 2, after passing passport control, go to the second floor to departure hall and find exit 46. The bus from the hotel will pick you up right there, outside the exit.
Reception guys are very helpful, they helped with your luggage and anything you need.
The room itself is very spacious. The floor in the room is so soft, like a cloud! The bed is very comfortable, pillows just amazing! The bath robe is so soft, double layered, I loved it. All you need you have in a room.
Only one thing can be improved, could be nice if there would be face wash and face lotion at least.
Overall, very pleasant stopover experience. Would book again for longer stopover to discover hotel’s spa and restaurant.FromPLN 468

Our stay here was absolutely perfect, incredibly comfortable and satisfying. The hotel service was meticulous and thoughtful, especially the duty manager, Wang Chuhe, whose service was exceptionally attentive and considerate. Everything was arranged perfectly, making for an excellent experience. We even got an upgrade to a room with an amazing view of the Canton Tower. The floor-to-ceiling windows offered an expansive view, allowing us to admire the Canton Tower day and night without even leaving the room – truly a stunning ambiance.
The hotel's attention to detail showcased its sincerity everywhere. The thoughtful and elegant amenities provided were both comforting and healing, adding a wonderful sense of occasion. These details truly reflect their professionalism. Four Seasons is always worth returning to.FromPLN 1,161

This hotel was perfect for attending Chen Chusheng's concert. It's just one subway stop from University Town, so getting back to the hotel quickly after the show was a breeze. A big shout-out to Guangzhou's excellent management; the order was fantastic! The hotel's location deserves full marks – it's right by subway exit A, super close! 😁 The higher floor offered great views, and the room was spacious. The breakfast had delicious bread and waffles 🧇, tasty freshly made rice noodles, and plenty of fruit. We enjoyed the views while we ate. Both the floor staff and the ground floor attendants were very friendly. If you have time, you can also walk along the greenway on the island. The only downside is the price, around 500 a night, but overall, it was a good experience.FromPLN 220

The hotel is 3 minutes from Shiqiao station. There is a bus line in front of the hotel that takes you to Shawan old town and other sites. It is across from a local mall with a lot of eateries. My only complaint is the cloth drier is hard to use without WeChat pay. Anyway, it is a good stay at this property.FromPLN 98
