We stayed at BP International for two nights in the family room as a family, and overall our stay was very pleasant, mainly thanks to its fantastic location. This hotel has an unbeatable spot for travellers visiting Hong Kong. It is easily accessible from West Kowloon Station, which made our arrival and departure stress-free. We did not need to take long taxi rides or navigate complicated public transport after getting off the high-speed rail.
The neighbourhood around the hotel is full of tourist attractions and plenty of dining options. There are countless restaurants, cafes and local eateries just a short walk away, so we never struggled to find meals at any time of day. Conveniently, Jollibee is only two blocks from the hotel entrance, which was a great quick meal option for our family after long days sightseeing. It was wonderful to step outside and immediately have access to food and shops, saving us lots of travel time.
While the location was excellent, we did notice a few drawbacks with the room. As expected for Hong Kong accommodation, the family room felt a little small. There was limited floor space once our luggage was unpacked, and moving around was a bit tight. The bunk bed was also not as practical as we hoped. Climbing up and down the double-deck bed was awkward, especially for the older family members in our group. It saved space, but convenience was compromised.
On the bright side, the cleanliness, service and location all deserve full marks. The room was immaculately cleaned every day, and the hotel staff were polite, helpful and responsive whenever we needed assistance. The amenities were solid overall, though there is room for minor improvements.
For families prioritising convenience and location, BP International is a great pick. If you are okay with a compact room and a less convenient bunk bed, this hotel offers amazing access to West Kowloon and all the nearby sights and restaurants. Pros: During the peak summer season, the price is quite good value for money, and they offer family triple rooms. If you want to experience authentic Hong Kong local life, you can book this hotel. There are also many local eateries nearby. The room space is quite large, and there's a sink right by the entrance, which is convenient for washing things. The bay window provides good natural light. In terms of transportation, both buses and the MTR are conveniently located within 500 meters, making it quick to get to the Yau Tsim Mong area. There are also tram terminals and the Chun Yeung Street tram stop nearby. Food deliveries are left directly on the counter at the hotel lobby's group reception. Staff will ask for verification when you pick up your order, so they do a good job with security.
Cons: There are many seafood shops around the hotel, so it's inevitable that the hotel lobby, both inside and out, smells of seafood. However, the smell disappears once you go upstairs. The bathroom is quite small, making showering a bit cramped. The room does not provide drinking water or toiletries like toothbrushes (I looked it up, and Hong Kong has a plastic restriction policy). They don't provide disposable toothbrushes or toothpaste for environmental reasons, which I understand. Luckily, I always carry my own water bottle, otherwise, it would have been a bit inconvenient.
The gym's overall environment and cardio equipment were pretty good, I was quite satisfied with that.
Just a suggestion: the dumbbells haven't been cleaned in a while and can dirty your clothes. It's odd that a gym has dumbbells but no basic weight bench or foam roller. The yoga mats also look quite old. In a detail-oriented city like Hong Kong, I wouldn't expect this... However, the outcome was: First, I was able to check in and get into my room immediately upon arrival at noon. This allowed me to rest a bit before going out to explore. Also, during check-in, the staff member proactively wrote down the Wi-Fi password and other important information on a card, which was a thoughtful touch ❤️. Booked a room for three people. They have two bed and a sofa bed. We opened the sofa bed ourselves, and found some hair. But actually, they were supposed to set up for us. After set up, it was OK. The room was spacious in Hong Kong standard. It came with standard amenities. There is a very small TV, and we watched FIFA final that morning. The hotel is connected to a shopping mall, there are good selections of eateries and stores. Note that there are two sections in the hotel and they are disconnected. We checked in at one of the sections just to find out we have to go outside to get to the other one to our room. They have a nice gym, but again we have to walk to the other section for that. There was some inconvenience walking in the rain because there’s no covered pathway between the two sections. There’s a 7-Eleven near the other section, and we were able to get some cup noodles in the middle of the night. This is an old, established hotel in Hong Kong, and while it's been around for a while, its location and room size are definite strong points. The breakfast and evening cocktails at the Horizon Club offer exceptional value and quality, especially for Hong Kong.
Tony, who handled our check-in on the 20th floor of the Horizon Club, left a particularly deep and positive impression. His professionalism and service attitude were outstanding, perfectly showcasing the expertise and high standards expected of a five-star hotel employee. His gentle smile and warm demeanor truly enhanced our trip to Hong Kong.
However, there were also some negative experiences. On September 7th, a young female usher at the breakfast restaurant on the second floor had a very cold attitude. After we told her our room number in Chinese, she acted as if she didn't understand. Only after we repeated it in English did she acknowledge us, leading us to our table expressionlessly. Ironically, when she asked what we wanted to drink, she spoke fluent Chinese.
I lived in London for two years, and even British service staff wouldn't have an attitude like hers. Furthermore, Hong Kong has been reunited with China for 20 years; if she can't even understand a room number, it suggests she's not suited for service work in a hotel. I don't understand why the Shangri-La Hong Kong would employ such staff. I will also be sending an email to Shangri-La headquarters to complain.

I saw the Black Diamond Wow Privilege and it was my child's birthday, so I thought I'd try the Rosewood Hong Kong, which I've long heard is the best. We stayed for two nights. First, I'd say the check-in experience was quite good. I booked two rooms, one with a Kowloon view and one with a sea view, and requested they be on the same floor in advance. Trip.com customer service followed up, and indeed, we got rooms on the same floor. However, we didn't receive the room upgrade mentioned in the Wow Privilege. We checked in at 4 PM, and the rooms were ready with a handwritten welcome letter and a fruit platter (three oranges) in each. I didn't mention my child's birthday during check-in, so we didn't get a birthday cake on their actual birthday. I feel the attention to detail in service was a bit lacking – a deduction for attentiveness. The hotel front desk also didn't mention the Wow Privilege or the option for a 2-hour late check-out. The staff's service attitude was excellent; they switched seamlessly between English, Cantonese, and Mandarin. Breakfast was semi-buffet style, with some items for self-service and others to order from a menu. Although the variety wasn't extensive, the food was well-prepared and delicious. My only slight disappointment was that the wonton noodles on the first day were amazing, but when I ordered them again on the second day, they were significantly less impressive, with a bland and tasteless broth. The hot waffles were delicious both days 😋. The turndown service every night was excellent, and the room cleaning was very thorough. The room was a bit old-fashioned, and there were only two power outlets. Luckily, I brought a couple of multi-port adapters, otherwise charging my phone and camera would have been a hassle. No bottled water was provided in the room, only tap water. While it's eco-friendly, it's not very convenient and detracted from the experience.
The hotel's surroundings are excellent. There are many bars and restaurants downstairs, and a Wellcome Supermarket and 7-Eleven nearby. The bus stop is right in front of the hotel, making it very convenient to get to Central and the West Kowloon Cultural Corridor. Just a heads-up, the MTR station is quite a distance, so it might not be convenient if you have a lot of luggage.
I'd like to praise the front desk service. On my first night, I was on the 4th floor, and the 3rd floor was the swimming pool. The room was incredibly damp. When I woke up in the morning, I had two bites, probably from some insect. After I reported it to the front desk, they immediately moved me to a room on the 16th floor for the remaining two days! On the day of check-in, we arrived at the hotel in the morning and immediately told the front desk staff that we needed laundry service and wanted to hand over our clothes right away. It was 10 AM at the time, and the hotel front desk also charged me a credit card deposit of 6000 RMB. However, the front desk refused to accept our clothes for washing, stating that we were only staying for two nights, from September 7th to 9th. He claimed that it would be impossible to return our cleaned clothes by the 9th. The four of us took turns asking him if he could provide a specific time for the return of our clean clothes on the 9th, but he kept saying he didn't know the time and ultimately refused to take our laundry. That evening, we returned to the hotel at 10 PM and got our room key. Upon entering the room, we saw a notice about the laundry service, which clearly stated that clothes submitted before 9 AM would be returned the same evening, and clothes submitted after 9 AM would be returned the next day. We immediately called the front desk to complain and then went downstairs to speak with the so-called duty manager that night. He promised to give us a response regarding this matter the next day. Hotel Icon is our go-to choice every time we visit Hong Kong. It boasts an excellent location and impeccable service. I also appreciate the hotel's great ethos, especially its commitment to green initiatives and the fact that many PolyU hotel management students gain practical experience there.
The rooms are incredibly spacious, a true luxury in land-scarce Hong Kong.

I was visiting relatives, and this hotel was conveniently located near their home. It cost 650 for one night during the summer holidays, and the room was about 10-15 square meters. The hotel's location wasn't hard to find, and the front desk is on the third floor. They don't offer breakfast, so I wandered around and eventually found a 'Zhong Kee Congee Shop' on the main road after a few turns, about 300 meters from the hotel. I stayed here for 5 days and 4 nights because I heard it had good access to Hong Kong Disneyland.
There wasn't much difference in price between a taxi and the train from the airport to the hotel, so I took a taxi. The room was simple, and the amenities were truly minimal (just a toothbrush and slippers), but since I only needed a place to sleep, I was satisfied. The slippers were quite thin and flimsy, so I recommend bringing your own if that bothers you.
I also stayed at the end of August, but the room was quite cold; it was chilly even with the air conditioning off, so I suggest bringing a jacket or cardigan. There were two rolls of toilet paper, but once one ran out, it wasn't replaced. Hand towels and bath towels were replenished daily.
I could hear some noise from the adjacent room, but there are a lot of international guests, so I guess that's to be expected given the clientele. The building where the hotel is located has a supermarket and many Japanese restaurants, so you won't have trouble finding food.
I only noticed it later, so I couldn't use it, but there was information in the room drawer about discounts available at Aeon (apparently, you just need to show your room key). The access to Disneyland was good, and for about 10,000 yen per day for two people, I was satisfied with the price as well.FromINR 5,295

The location is fantastic - there are plenty of restaurants and shops nearby, as well as metro station, bus and tram stops, plus a bus to the airport.
We really enjoyed the buffet breakfast, which offered a wide variety of food. The view from the 18th floor was fine, and the blackout curtains did an excellent job of blocking out the light. I could not hear any traffic noise from the road.
A one-time afternoon tea was included in the booking. There is also a little station in the lobby where you can make DIY cards using the stamps.
One thing we missed was some focused lighting near the head of the bed, such as bedside lamps. It would also be nice to have a full-length mirror in the room, perhaps on the outside of the bathroom door.
The staff were polite and helpful, and they assisted us with calling a taxi on a rainy morning. We also appreciated the fact that no deposit was required.
The air-conditioning system looks rather unusual. On the first night, we found it difficult to fall asleep because of the noise, but after that we adjusted to it, and it no longer bothered us.
We had no complaints about the overall cleanliness of the room, and housekeeping was provided daily. The only thing that disappointed us slightly was that the bathtub did not appear to have been cleaned during our six-night stay. The toilet was always clean and well maintained, but when two people use a bathtub regularly for almost a week, residue builds up quite quickly and requires proper cleaning products. We would therefore suggest paying a little more attention to cleaning the bathtub as part of the daily housekeeping.
Apart from that, we had no complaints. We enjoyed my stay, would happily stay here again, and would recommend the hotel to others!FromINR 5,481

This hotel is suitable for a one-night layover. A shuttle bus takes you to Terminal T2, and from there you can walk to T1. You can also walk directly to T1, which takes about 10-15 minutes. There are no shops nearby, but a shuttle runs to a shopping center every 30 minutes. The pool is shallow and warm, and it operates until 10 PM.
