I always stay at Star Land every time I come to Douala. The location is good, 4-5 kilometers from the airport. The room is hygienic and clean. The service is very good.

The hotel delivers a sleek, modern experience in the heart of the Akwa business district, with well‑appointed rooms, balconies and ample amenities including a spa, pool and tennis court. Guests routinely praise the friendly staff and clean, comfortable accommodations—many felt safe and well looked‑after during their stay. On the flip side, a few guests noted some service inconsistencies (e.g., WiFi strength, breakfast variety) and minor maintenance issues such as dirty windows or worn hallway carpets. Overall: A strong choice for a premium stay in Douala—especially if you value modern comfort and strong service—just be aware of minor operational quirks.

It was very clean ,location excellent,prefect breakfast buffet and security top notch. I was disappointed that a hotel that standard doesn’t have bathrobes . They told me bathrobes were only for suites;when I know even basic hotel around the world have bathrobes,that answer left me confused . Also the buffet for the evening meal was ok. I wish it had more Cameroonian meals or more grill

Hotel is clean, staff in very helpful. Not to sure if it is safe to walk to nearby shops. The breakfast is not what I would have expected.
