I rebooked my room, but to my surprise, they gave me a different room, and the cleanliness was still a problem. Maybe this hotel just has low standards for hygiene; there were noticeable stains, and it just didn't feel clean. If you're particular about cleanliness, you might want to reconsider booking here.

I've been here many times, always choosing to come during the off-season before Chinese New Year. Both breakfast and dinner are great, and the hotel rooms have been renovated. It's a shame the macaw from before is gone. The beautiful scenery of Xiaowan Beach remains as stunning as ever.

This hotel is directly across from Taichung TRA Station, making it super convenient to catch a train in just a few minutes. Miyahara Eye Hospital (famous for its ice cream and souvenirs) is also just a short walk away. You can easily catch a bus right outside to Rainbow Village. It's incredibly convenient. The hotel facilities are great too. The front desk service was reassuring, and they offer complimentary lemon juice and snacks in the lobby. The king-size bed in the room definitely felt wider than 1.5 meters, probably closer to 2 meters wide. Both the bathroom and toilet were clean. Breakfast is served on the second floor and it's absolutely fantastic!

Overall, it's pretty standard. The room had a bit of a smell when I first walked in. The service was excellent; they proactively helped with luggage. I'd say the location is superb, especially for catching an early flight. Having the free shuttle bus is very convenient, but you need to book it in advance. The food at the lounge on the first floor was really bad; I wouldn't recommend going there.

The hotel is located next to a major road, so it's relatively quiet despite being in a busy area. If you don't choose the hotel's parking, there are parking spaces nearby, but it's a matter of luck to find one. The hotel's partnered parking lot is a bit far, which is the only downside. It's about a 5-10 minute walk from the hotel to Fengjia Night Market. As for breakfast, I didn't opt for the hotel's breakfast and instead ate at a breakfast shop nearby. Overall, I think this hotel is more suitable for short stays.

Amazing stay there again! Just one stop from Ximen. Second stay in that great hotel and will definitely come back again. Room was so comfy with a great view. The living room in the suite was so convenient for enjoying a great meal inside from take away or room service. Probably the best value in Taipei!

Comfortable and well located stay. It's all immigrants in this area and quite a lot of homeless too. But the hotel was clean and well kept. The staff was friendly. No breakfast arrangement though.

The location is incredibly convenient, and the hotel facilities are excellent. A night market is right next door, which is a fantastic bonus. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, making it a great spot for both couples and families. I will definitely be returning. The staff were also incredibly polite.

The hotel's decor and design style are beautiful, and the space is very spacious. The rooms are also comfortable. The food at the hotel restaurant was delicious, and the breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of options. I was very satisfied with this stay and highly recommend it!

DdkworksThe only good thing this hotel offers you is a stunning view of the Kaihsiung skyline, however cleanliness and staff could be improved. The hotel says it is a 5 star hotel, but in fact it only offers 3 star experience; hotel staff looks not welcoming, the rooms are quite outdated, the aircon cannot be switched for heat - it was super cold in the room and they turn the aircon for you before you check in - why? It is 15 degrees outside, why your aircon is at freezing mode?

CCaleb CreasonHotel is quite nice, staff was very friendly and room as clean and equipped nicely. Breakfast was expansive with a good selection for everyone. The location is within walking distance to many things. We took a nice walk to the science park area and visited one of the local temples. There is also a nice speakeasy bar within 10 min walk (kind of hidden past the starbucks up the hill). I would definitely recommend this hotel to business visitors or tourists as well.

GGuest UserI personally lean towards traditional hotels, and at least I didn't experience any of the negative reviews I saw online. Hotel Facilities: It's an older hotel, but my room had been renovated. The interior is definitely a complete contrast to its exterior. Room: For the price, it's incredibly good value. The room was spacious enough whether I was staying alone, as a couple, or with my partner. The air conditioning, hot water, TV, and hairdryer all worked perfectly. Breakfast: They ask you for your preferred dining time when you check in, but maybe because I was staying alone, it didn't really affect me, so I didn't need to specify. The variety of food was extensive, and they changed items daily. I don't understand why some reviews claimed that eating outside for 70-80 TWD would be better; an extra breakfast here only costs 50 TWD. Anyway, they had vegetables, congee, salad, fruit, eggs, bread, etc. For meat options, there was grilled chicken chop, kimchi pork belly, breakfast sausages, and ********* braised pork. The coffee was either from a well-known international brand or the hotel's specially selected freshly ground beans, which I thought was a nice touch. However, I found it a bit odd that you had to return your own trays – it is a hotel, after all. Staff: The staff were very friendly and polite. Check-in was handled in both Chinese and English, and they thoroughly explained my room's features, inquired about my needs, and discussed cleaning arrangements. The only minor issue was that I requested a change of bedding on the third day at noon, after two nights, but it didn't happen. I assume the regular staff member for that floor was off, and the replacement didn't change them, as they just straightened my duvet and put the tip I left back on my pillow. Despite that, it didn't impact my stay at all, haha.

GGuest UserMy overall experience at Hotel Kuva Chateau was pleasant, though I was a bit disappointed that the pool is closed during winter and only open from May to September. However, there is a public pool opposite the hotel where you can pay NT 100 to enjoy a nice swim and hot spring. The location is excellent, with a very clean and well-maintained park nearby. The hotel itself was clean, and I particularly liked the bathroom, which featured a spotless bathtub.

GGuest UserLocation: Relatively close to Jiaoxi Bus Station. It's a bit far from the train station and the main street. We stayed in a Japanese-style quad room, but the space was smaller than expected. The private hot spring tub on the terrace was quite large (can fit two adults) and very clean. We had a mountain view room, and since the opposite side faces apartments, the mountain view was a significant advantage. There's also complimentary tea and tofu pudding service. For the outdoor hot spring area, you need to bring a swimsuit and a swimming cap to enter. The breakfast service didn't have a huge variety, but it was clean and decent.

AAnonymous UserThere's construction on one side of the hotel, and the old windows don't close properly, so diesel fumes from the crane wafted directly into the bedroom. Not to mention the noise from the building work – imagine driving a car without air conditioning, stuck behind a diesel truck constantly spewing exhaust fumes. The result? A headache that required painkillers. Luckily, Trip.com was great and got me a room change. The mattress is very soft, so if you prefer lumbar support, you should reconsider. The family with kids next door was very noisy, and the front desk promptly moved me to another room. The transportation is very convenient, with the MRT station just a two-minute walk away. The hotel lobby is like an MRT platform, bustling with people – from young to old, student groups to limping seniors, all attending some event. It's the opposite of quiet. If you enjoy crowded fairs, you might like the lively atmosphere. Even checking in took about 10 minutes.

GGuest UserFacilities: The facilities are standard, but very clean. On the first day of check-in, the elevator ceiling looked a bit broken – I'm not sure if it was part of the design or if a piece of fabric had fallen off 🌚. Hygiene: It meets standard budget hotel hygiene levels; it's quite clean. However, there was an odor in the elevator when we arrived, a musty smell, perhaps due to the damp weather. Environment: The overall hotel environment is good, and having a window was a big plus. Most importantly, after experiencing a moderate earthquake the day before, we were a bit on edge coming to Hualien, but our room actually had an escape device 😂, which really boosted our sense of security. Service: The hotel staff were very friendly and patiently explained all the important details. This seems to be standard in Taiwan; everyone is wonderful, comfortable, and welcoming. Location: First and foremost, the hotel's location is super convenient. You can find it right outside the train station, just a five-minute walk, which is great. For dining, there are mostly small local eateries nearby. For larger restaurants, you might have to walk a bit further. Since we were traveling with a baby, we ended up walking around for a while before returning to the train station area to eat. It was a slight inconvenience. That's about it. Overall, it's quite good, mainly for the convenience and cleanliness, which were both met. Oh, and for this price, it's excellent value for money. Plus, there's breakfast, and they even had steamed spareribs… definitely a big thumbs up!

00k4zuFlawless. That sums it up perfectly. The check-in process was seamless and stress-free, as we were greeted by staff speaking fluent Japanese. The room was spacious, incredibly clean, and more than sufficient. And the complimentary sparkling water had excellent carbonation and tasted delicious. I definitely want to stay here again next time. This is a highly recommended hotel in Taipei.
