Anonymous UserAnonymous UserWe had a wonderful 3D2N stay at JB R&F Cove 180 Degree Seaview 1BR Unit With Balcony from 20–22 June 2026.
The location is excellent—just a short walking distance from the CIQ JB custom, making it very convenient for travellers coming from Singapore. The apartment is also located right beside R&F Mall, so food, shopping, and daily necessities are easily accessible. There's even a 24-hour coffee shop right below the apartment, which came in handy for late-night snacks and early-morning coffee.
The unit itself was perfect for a couple's getaway. We especially loved the quiet and peaceful sea view from the balcony. Waking up to the calming scenery and sea breeze was truly relaxing.
Although the washing machine does not have a dryer function, the strong sea-facing wind allowed our clothes to dry completely overnight, which was a pleasant surprise. That said, having a 2-in-1 washer-dryer would make the stay even more convenient and save guests’ time. For those who prefer their laundry dried quickly, there is also a laundromat conveniently located right below the apartment near the 24-hour coffee shop, making it an easy alternative.
The kitchen was well-equipped with a proper refrigerator featuring both chiller and freezer compartments, as well as a microwave oven, which was a big plus point for us. The living area also came with a Smart TV that supports Netflix and YouTube, making it perfect for a relaxing movie night after a day out. One possible improvement would be the addition of a water filter dispenser, as it would provide even greater convenience for guests during their stay.
Check-in was seamless and hassle-free. A friendly staff member personally escorted us from the check-in counter to the apartment, making the entire process smooth and welcoming.
We didn't have enough time to try out the condo facilities such as the swimming pool, gym, and sauna, so we're unable to comment on those. However, getting around was very convenient. We booked Grab rides to Angsana Mall for a spa massage and to X-Park for go-kart and ATV rides, and both journeys were quick and hassle-free.
Overall, it was a very pleasant stay. The apartment was comfortable, well-located, and offered a peaceful environment for a relaxing getaway. We would not hesitate to stay here again on our next trip to Johor Bahru. Highly recommended!Anonymous UserAnonymous UserThe stay was great. The staff delivered a complimentary slice of cake as the check in date coincided with my hubby’s birthday. Very nice and sweet of the reception staff.
All guests received warm chocolate cookies too. Just nice to have them for supper or snack😊
Facilities were good too though we didn’t use it.
Buffet Breakfast was good but we didn’t try all the food as there were just too much food to try.. room amenities were basic and good and room was spacious.
Overall stay was good. Will consider coming back due to their great service.
Location is also quite near to JB Sentral about 10-15 minutes walk.Anonymous UserAnonymous UserCame here for a night with my kid.Hotel is very near to the checkpoint.I got here around 4pm so it wasn’t crowded.Super smooth check in.I did request on the spot for a complimentary upgrade but was told they’re unable to do that.Maybe that’s something they can work on.I was given a later check out at 12.30pm so it’s not too bad.Room was amazing and clean.The toilet has a bidet so it’s a plus point!We were on the 29th floor.Staff were friendly.The breakfast buffet spread was good too.I loved the pastries.Swimming pool was empty when I brought my son so it was really good and I feel the size of the pool is perfect.It isn’t small.Overall it’s a pleasant stay and I’ll come back again!
Anonymous UserAnonymous UserShort drive distance from CIQ, convenient location within one of the biggest mall - Mid Valley Southkey Mall with all entertainment you can find such as bowling and cinema. Most of the popular F&B are also located there. Also a supermarket at LG.
There is a outdoor rooftop pool with pretty nice view, a bar, lounge and a gym also at the top floor. Room hygiene lacks a little with some stains still visible.
A nice little gesture by the hotel with complementary drinks redeemable from 12pm to 7pm.

It’s surrounded by plenty of shops and eateries, with Chagee, KOI, Mixue, McDonald’s, KFC, FamilyMart, laundromats, and pretty much everything you need within walking distance.Anonymous UserAnonymous UserI was downgraded from a Superior Room to a Deluxe Room because I requested a smoking room, but no refund was offered for the downgrade. I was informed that smoking rooms are only not available in the Deluxe category. This should be stated clearly on the website to avoid misunderstandings during check-in.
After the room change, I was first assigned a room that was quite warm. I was then moved to another room, but the TV kept restarting automatically and was not working properly. A technician was sent to troubleshoot the issue, and the entire room change and repair process took more than an hour to resolve.
On a positive note, Trip.com made the effort to call me to follow up on the issue and compensated me with Trip Coins for my next booking. I appreciate their prompt customer service and support. It is also easily accessible with wheelchair as there are lifts and ramps from the hotel to the main road.
The space is also comfortable for a family of three as I booked 2 bedrooms.
However, the toilet heater did not work and needed to call for hotel to help, after many tries, they eventually changed our room at night.
