Beijing Dongcheng District Hotels

An absolute 10/10 stay! We genuinely loved The Yard and would happily stay here again. The customer service was top-notch, every staff member we encountered was warm, friendly and incredibly helpful. The hotel itself has so much character. The traditional exterior is absolutely gorgeous, especially when the red lanterns light up at night, while inside our room was surprisingly spacious, cozy and beautifully decorated. We loved having a proper bathtub, the hot water worked perfectly throughout our stay, and housekeeping was excellent. Fresh towels, bottled water and other necessities were replenished daily, which we really appreciated. The location was another highlight! Step outside and you’re immediately surrounded by a lively street filled with shops and so much amazing street food, which we absolutely adored. Comfortable, welcoming, full of character and a wonderful base for exploring Beijing. Thank you to the lovely staff for making our stay so memorable!

The hotel facilities are complete, with a free coffee and water dispenser. The front desk lady provided excellent service, helping us enthusiastically and even giving us a free room upgrade. The hotel's location is also great, about 700m from the subway, making travel convenient. The hygiene is good, thumbs up!

Apart from the renovation which we were told beforehand, the room we had was dark (probably because it was a windowless room), humid, aircon wasn’t strong but they provided a fan. Could smell urine even with the toilet seat covered, toilet door was closed, to a point that i was awaken by the foul smell. Had to spray perfume to have it barely covered. Ventilation was super bad. Cons aside, service was good, fridge in room had free drinks. Would recommend to book a window room if you had to even though friend that stayed in the window room said it was bad too. There’s a mall few minutes walk away which was a plus. Good view on the reception floor too.

On a scorching 36-degree day, as soon as we arrived at the hotel entrance, someone proactively opened the door for us. While checking in, the front desk staff brought me a glass of water, and even though I declined help with my luggage, they still offered twice. The room might be a bit small, but it's perfectly functional – a compact space with everything you need. There's a laundry room and a restaurant. We chose this hotel because we were leaving by train that night and it's very close to Beijing Station, and it turned out to be a wonderful surprise! From the front desk to the restaurant and the laundry room, every staff member we encountered provided service with a smile and handed things over with both hands. My child loved it here too. We'll definitely choose this hotel again next time we're in Beijing. Friends visiting Beijing should come and experience it for themselves!

The service, cleanliness, and location are all perfect for travelers. What truly impressed me was their integrity in returning lost items, which really warmed this 'traveler away from home.' As a guest, all I can say is that I will definitely be staying here again! Thank you all very much! I wish the hotel great success and fully booked rooms every day.

· Location: Easy walking distance to Wangfujing – super central! Also walking distance to metro line 8. · Transport: Didi pickups are easy right at the lobby entrance. · Bathroom: Great water pressure for the shower, plus a bathtub in the toilet for relaxing soaks. · Cleanliness: Room was spotless and comfortable. · Noise: Slight soundproofing issues (could hear hallway noise), but not a dealbreaker. · Perks: Loved having Miniso and gift shops in the lobby - so convenient.

## Facilities The facilities were quite comprehensive. I was only in Beijing for an overnight stay, but the room was clean and hygienic, with a luggage rack and a place to hang clothes. ## Hygiene It was clean, and the cleaning was thorough. ## Environment To the north, there's a garden with a fountain. Everything was good, except for the slightly small room (though I knew the size when booking). ## Service The front desk staff were warm and attentive. Everything was great, except for the call I received rushing me to write a review after check-out. I had already informed them during check-out not to send a drink and that I would write a review when I had time, as I had a train to catch to Tianjin that afternoon. Being rushed to write a review while sightseeing in Tianjin was a very unpleasant experience. Does a review expire if it's written a few days later? Or does it cause some kind of loss for you? ## Special Compliment: Breakfast The breakfast was excellent every day. The auntie clearing tables was quick and even helped us find seats. The beef noodles and small wontons at the noodle station were delicious, and I had several bowls every day. Other dishes were also good and well-stocked. 6:30-7:30 AM is peak time for foreign guests, but around 7:30 AM, there are quite a few empty seats, though they fill up quickly.

The room was very clean, which I was happy with. The front desk service was excellent, and the breakfast was delicious. I'd definitely recommend it. The surrounding facilities are good and convenient. There's free coffee, snacks, and water in the lobby, which is a really nice touch!

The front desk staff were very warm and helpful, and housekeeping was attentive. The room had all the amenities you could need, the bathroom was quite spacious with a great shower, and there was even a projector on the wall for watching movies at night. Overall, it was a very cozy and welcoming experience.

This stay was absolutely fantastic! The hotel was spotless, and I loved that the disposable toothbrushes were already in the bathroom, no need to pick them up at the front desk. The room was spacious and well-designed. This is definitely my go-to hotel every time I visit Beijing! A special shout-out to the bathrobes and slippers – they were incredibly comfortable! Breakfast was still mostly Western, and aside from the milk, everything was perfectly to my taste!
