Hotels with Breakfast in Genteng

Everything about the hotel was great. I especially want to give a shout-out to Knot from the hotel lobby! His service was incredibly attentive; he helped with our luggage the whole time and was so patient and gentle. A big thumbs up to him! The pool was beautiful, and the bed in the room was so soft that I had a wonderful night's sleep.

Before my trip, I meticulously read numerous online reviews for this hotel, and after experiencing it firsthand, I now understand why the reviews are somewhat polarized. To be honest, the hotel's location and interior environment are quite good. The lobby and restaurant have an older charm, but the rooms are well-maintained. The linens felt slightly damp, but the bright interior lighting compensates for the natural light deficiencies due to the room's age. The hot water supply was also excellent, indicating that the hotel has invested in unseen yet comfort-ensuring aspects – something many poorly managed older hotels fail to do. The hotel features several courtyard areas, each surrounding a beautiful garden. These gardens have a French vintage aesthetic and are clearly well-maintained, though perhaps not with the same meticulous, high-luxury precision throughout. After all, given the hotel's size, it's unrealistic to expect every area to be managed like a boutique property. Breakfast was surprisingly good, especially the baked goods. The bread, though unassuming in appearance, had excellent texture and aroma, on par with top-tier bakeries in Shanghai. There were also many local Indonesian specialties; however, given the general characteristics and standards of Indonesian cuisine, it's best to approach these with cautious anticipation and try a small selection. Nevertheless, among all the good hotels I've stayed in during this trip, this one offered the most diverse and thoughtfully prepared local dishes – just don't compare them to the 'delicious' Western food standards and tastes. In summary, for this price (even the suites are quite affordable), staying in a hotel of this style offers excellent value for money. You can't compare it to hotels priced at 3000 and above, even if its historic exterior might suggest that caliber. The maintenance and staffing costs for such high-end establishments are simply on a different level.

Considerably clean, service wise language is a challenge, couldn't get information of any indomart nearby at all and couldn't get a cup noodle at night about 10pm. Cafe downstairs has no food at night too Good size for family where the 4 of us can sleep in a room together

This is an excellent hotel. If you walk straight out, past Pizza Hut and over a footbridge, you'll reach the city's largest shopping mall. The mall is huge and has everything you could need. The hotel facilities are very good and clean, and the breakfast on the first floor is rich and delicious. If you want to stay in the city center, this is a great choice.

Business Room 207 was comfortable, clean, and spacious. Business Room 211 was noisy; I could hear the outdoor AC unit, which was very disturbing and uncomfortable. There was a humming sound, and the room was cramped for a business room – not recommended. Breakfast: Lacked variety and felt haphazard. Hotel staff were friendly and responsible. Check-in and check-out process was easy.

An affordable stay at Riverview Hotel. There was lots of choice for breakfast and some alcoholic drinks available upstairs. They also had evening singers. The rooftop pool is cold but clean with lovely city views. The rooms are clean with 2 bottles of water provided each morning. There was supposed to be shampoo provided but the bottle was empty and they did not refill this for the duration of my stay. Be prepared for lots of families and loud children splashing in the pool - it is a popular staycation spot.

We enjoy our stay here. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The food for breakfast is variety and delicious. The location is strategic, near the mall and hot spot around surabaya. Would absolutely recommend this hotel.

Our room was fine, however the hotel and amenities are a bit old. Located next to some shopping malls and cafes, also there is Indomaret over the corner. There is a spacious parking lot. The buffet breakfast was quite nice, with plenty of options to choose from.

Before I review I want to say all the staff were kind friendly and very helpful. If this review was about the staff you would have 100%. My problem is with the fabric of the hotel. It is dirty , shabby and living in the past. The first entertainment hotel in the city. Looking at it it was probably the last time it was refurbished. I feel that the staff put on a brave face and they are professional in their duties. Entering my room the sheets were grey had holes and stained. If you use an external laundry and hire your linen someone needs to change your contract!! Grey is not white. The walls are covered in hardboard and are dirty. Shower and toilet ok. Fire door did not self close. Hole in the wall where the self closer keeps hitting it. If this is a four star hotel it’s the staff who are keeping it there, a review though in my opinion would drop you to two stars at the best!! The owners need to reinvest!!

Overall, it's pretty great! The location is super close to the train station, mall, and Monkasel. So if you want to explore, you can just walk everywhere. There are also plenty of food stalls nearby. Right next to the hotel, there's Warteg Bahari, and if you cross the street and walk a bit, you'll find a legendary food stall at Gubeng Pojok. So no worries about going hungry. The only downside is that the bathroom was dirty. The door was moldy, the toilet was disgusting, basically the bathroom was a 2/5. The bed and pillows were comfortable, the AC was cold, and the TV was big and clear. The view was decent. The facilities are standard for a 3-star hotel. The pool view is really good though, pretty and aesthetic. That's all for my review. If you ask me if I'd stay here again next time? Definitely not. Hehehe. Thanks!
