I recently stayed at Abode Belconnen and honestly couldn’t fault a single thing – it was a perfect 10/10 experience. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed, not just as guests but as pet parents. Finding a truly dog-friendly hotel that still feels modern, clean, and a little bit luxurious is so rare, but Abode nails it. The room was spotless and beautifully designed with a calm, contemporary vibe. It didn’t have that “pet room” feel that some places have – everything looked and smelled fresh. The bed was incredibly comfortable, the linens were crisp and felt super comfortable and high class. What really impressed me was how easy they made travelling with my dog. They provided everything we needed, and had a dog toilet area on level 5 (Sunset photo i posted). Staff were helpful and never once made me feel like traveling with a dog was a burden. The location is also super convenient with shops, restaurants, and even a Woolies just downstairs, plus secure parking. It’s one of the few hotels I’ve stayed at that manages to feel both practical and stylish. If you’re looking for a dog-friendly place in Canberra that still feels like a quality stay, Abode Belconnen is honestly unbeatable. We’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend

Hyatt Hotel is located beside Lake Burley Griffin. Easy to reach by car but seems like there is not much public transport nearby. We rented a car for our trip in Canberra so accessibility wasn’t an issue for us. Hotel parking was AUD30 in their underground carpark. They recommended for us to park on the street parking. Paid parking for daytime from 8.30am. Parking overnight was free. Popular landmarks of Canberra was within minutes drive from the hotel. Snapper & Co. restaurant was 5 minutes drive from the hotel and they serve great fish and chips! From the exterior of the hotel, you could tell that the hotel is of a certain age. But the interior was grand and nice! The room was spacious and clean! Was surprised to see Le Labo amenities! Bath salt was also provided. Had 2 other rooms on a different booking, and they managed to allocate rooms side by side. By far the best hotel I have ever stayed in!

Sleepy TigerWe enjoyed our stay, The rooms were spacious and the bed was comfortable. You won't hear any noise from the airport which is surprisingly good 👍 The breakfast buffet is great with good quality coffee and food provided. Only downside is that the shower head was worn out, and we couldn't get it changed to overhead mode ( the nob was broken).

This hotel is amazing and exceeded my expectations! All the facilities are new and in excellent condition. The room is very spacious, equipped with central air conditioning and a large, modern TV that supports screen casting — which is perfect for guests on vacation. I’m really happy to have stayed here!

lonetloveMidnight Collection was in a central location where amenities is surrounded. You have pub, tram station and walking distance to civic center. The facilities is good enough to have a relax and enjoyable swimming pool and sauna room after a long day. Food wise is pretty tasty, while it may not be free flow in term of buffet style.

Location is good, just a bit noisy when people get into the room in the midnight. Reception was very nice.

We stayed at the Statesman Hotel in Curtin for one night and overall, had a positive experience. The room was nicely updated with modern furniture and furnishings, which gave it a fresh feel. The shower had excellent water pressure, and the Leif toiletries were a nice touch, making our wash most refreshing. The bed was clean and comfortable, although it was a bit softer than we would prefer, but still allowed for a good night's sleep. The young lady who checked us in was friendly and helpful, which made the arrival smooth and welcoming. One downside was that the room lighting was quite dim, which made the space feel a little darker than ideal. Despite this, the hotel offers good value and convenient amenities. We would stay here again and recommend it to others looking for a comfortable and value-for-money overnight stay in Canberra.
