Courtyard By Marriott Dakar Diamniadio ★★★★
"Very poor customer service, the staff was unhelpful and unfriendly. The management did not care about guests’ complaints."
Kadiss Hotel
"They have very high-quality, clean rooms and very friendly, characterful staff. It's a hotel where I wish I could have stayed another night."
Axil HÔTEL ★★★★
"Its good for short time"
International Hotel Dakar ★★★★
"Everything is good"
Sama Hotels ★★★★
"Excellent stay at this brand new establishment! . The rooms were wonderful and spacious offering a Cozy bed was also a huge plus!! . The staff was highly efficient, accommodating and true examples of exceptional service. . The food was ok. We didn't experience the breakfast buffet since there were very few guest, so this was totally understandable. They didn't miss ANYTHING on this one and spared not one amenity. From energy efficiency, luxury accommodations and beautiful decor. I recommend Sama for your visit to Almadies Dakar."
Le Ndiambour Hôtel et Résidence ★★★★
"Booked a room for two people for 5 nights. Room looked neat: clean, AC, TV and safe worked fine The left window could be closed but not locked Bathroom: - However, there was a lot of mold in the joints of the tiles in the shower room - the sink was virtually clogged - There was a tear in the shower 'curtain' that had been patched. Service: was bizarre People at the reception were extremely friendly and helpful Problem: it was booked for two people, but only one bath towel, one cup and one glass were provided (with kettle) I later received the t****e bath towel after asking at reception. Unfortunately, the first three days I went back to reception 8 (!) times to get a t****th cup and t****th glass. It was always promised that we would get them. There was also a call in my presence to come through and bring a cup and glass. I put a note next to one cup asking for a second cup and a second glass. It's not a disaster, but you shouldn't pretend to be a 4-star hotel with such service! The room, bathroom and service are more consistent with a 2 or 3 star hotel. The buffet breakfast (over 12 euros per person) was appropriate for a 4 star hotel and was excellent. Upon arrival we were told breakfast was included. When I asked them the next day if they wanted to check this again, so that I wouldn't suddenly have to pay an extra 120 Euro at the end, they could no longer find my booking. They would search further. The next morning I received a call that breakfast was not included after all! (We had received the trip as a gift and didn't know if breakfast was included) All in all, great location, friendly, helpful people at reception, but apart from a good breakfast, it is at most a 3-star room that needs maintenance"

Oasis Seaside by Barok
"I really enjoyed it. The place was very clean and the staff very helpful specifically Demba. He looked after us very well. I will visit again some other times. Keep it up Fatou Cham"
Le Lodge des Almadies
"A group of students from Chicago stayed here on their first visit to Senegal. They loved the beds, air-conditioning, kind staff, and the location. We were so busy we didn't have time to enjoy the clean pool in the courtyard area. There is also a charming gift shop with locally made artisan products."
Hotel Jardin Savana Dakar
"This place is characterized by the lack of professionalism, rudeness, and arrogance of all the staff, especially the manager, who, instead of solving our problems, attacked us. We wanted to spend a relaxing day by the pool, so we ran away, frightened by the rudeness and aggression of the manager and the waiters. Absolutely avoid it!!!"
Hôtel Al Afifa
"I cannot praise this hotel enough. Dakar is huge and choices in the mid price range were not great. I took a chance on this place, recognising it was under new management. I was not disappointed. The main reason being the incredibly kind, friendly and helpful staff. The room was great. Very appreciative of a kettle to boil water rather than buying endless plastic bottles. The pool and court yard area were a perfect calm oasis from the madness of downtown Dakar. The breakfast buffet was brilliant. Fresh fruit, nuts and the tastiest bean dish. Within walking distance to the Goree ferry and close to lots of different restaurant options. In my opinion a great option!"
Boma LifeStyle Hotel
"A nice spot of paradise among the chaos of dakars hustle and bustle. Amongst the higher end experiences price wise it is somewhere worth visiting alone for the comfort and accommodation of the team at Boma lifestyle hotel and attached YouYou restaurant. Fantastic atmosphere on weekends which are great for a cocktail as well as great food options that accommodate somewhat towards a European pallet for those not looking to stray to far from home. My girlfriend who is from cameroon recommends the Mafe for more traditional flavours where, I had the Yassa Poulet which would suit many visitors with is rich onion base. For those looking for a comforting European touch any of the pizza options will suit alongside a cold pint of gazelle. Utilise this hotel as a resting place to visit such sites as Ngor, goree island, the African renaissance monument, the pink lake, sandaga, and nearby visit the surfers paradise at hotel virag for some chilled entertainment of local and foreign surfers alike. For a nice meal that touches several west and central African pallets head to maison B. Exceptional hospitality alongside fantastic food, cocktails and shisha all at an affordable budget. For pastries head to Graines d'or a five minute walk from the hotel. And also head to happy Happy Hour & Degustation across from Jgo and maison B and see what cameroonian meals are on offer alongside some drinks an socialising with their owner. The petrol station next door provides a variety of snacks and beverages including cheap alcohol and a cash machine."
ONOMO Hotel Dakar

King Fahd Palace
"I stayed at King Fahad Hotel as one of the Brussels passengers whose flight was cancelled. Although the situation was stressful, my early experience at the hotel was positive — the room was comfortable and most staff members were polite and accommodating. However, what happened the next day with the restaurant manager, Mr. Mbowe, left me feeling humiliated, intimidated, and genuinely unsafe. During breakfast, a friend brought a few small items for my son and me (a banana, yogurt, etc.). These were not hotel items, and we did not eat them inside the restaurant. Later at lunch, someone who had breakfast with me mentioned that the manager had accused me of taking hotel food. She had already explained to him that nothing was taken, but she suggested I clarify with him directly. When I approached him calmly to clear up the misunderstanding, he immediately became defensive and visibly angry. Instead of listening, he raised his voice, accused me of being rude, and questioned why I would “bring this up in front of his employees.” I tried several times to explain that the food was not from the hotel and that it was only brought for the road because we didn’t know our departure time. His behaviour escalated quickly. He said to me, “Do you know who I am?”, which felt unnecessarily intimidating. He continued speaking aggressively while staff and guests watched. Some bystanders even stepped in, telling him that the way he was speaking to me was inappropriate. I told him that I approached him only to resolve the issue, but now felt embarrassed and uncomfortable. When I asked him to please walk away so the situation could de-escalate, he refused. My entire table left the restaurant because it felt unsafe to remain there. When we walked out, he followed us outside, despite me already expressing that his behaviour made me feel intimidated. All of this occurred openly in the restaurant and should be visible on CCTV if reviewed. Afterward, several hotel employees privately approached me to apologise, saying things like “he can be that way” and “he is always like this, he is the hotel manager.” While I appreciated their kindness, it was concerning that this behaviour seems to be known and tolerated within the hotel. This experience overshadowed what could have been a comfortable stay. No guest — especially a woman travelling with a child during an already stressful flight cancellation — should feel unsafe, shouted at, or intimidated by a hotel manager. I sincerely hope senior management investigates this incident and ensures that no guest is treated this way in the future. The rest of the staff tried their best, but this behaviour from the manager was unacceptable and deeply unprofessional."
