Hotels in Shuanglang Scenic Area, Dali City

First time visiting Dali with my elderly mother. We stayed in Dali Ancient City (Haixi) for the first two nights, experiencing its lively bustle. For the latter two nights, I specifically booked a hotel near Shuanglang Ancient Town (Haidong). After comparing several options, I chose this cliffside seaview guesthouse. Upon arrival, whether in the guesthouse garden or in the room, we had unobstructed views of the blue sky, white clouds, Cangshan Mountains, and Erhai Lake. This trip was absolutely worthwhile! 😊 The guesthouse service was also good, and they even offered complimentary bedtime milk. 🥛🥛

The Biba Yifang B&B is right by Erhai Lake, offering a fantastic experience. The guesthouse's courtyard is lush with greenery, and the sea-facing terrace provides an unbeatable view. You can sit there and gaze at Erhai Lake and the Cangshan Mountains – it's a perfect spot for photos. The rooms are clean and tidy, the bedding is comfortable, and it's very quiet. The butler service is attentive; they help with luggage transfer and offer travel suggestions. Shuanglang Ancient Town is within walking distance, making it very convenient for getting around. Here, you can quietly watch the sunset over Erhai Lake – the ambiance is incredible, making for a very relaxing stay. I highly recommend choosing this B&B when visiting Shuanglang in Dali.

This guesthouse is perfect for photos and also great for a relaxing getaway. The biggest highlight is the amazing sea view from the room; the floor-to-ceiling windows face Erhai Lake directly, so you can see the Cangshan mountains and the clouds from your bed. The balcony loungers are also perfect for just chilling out. The room is well-equipped, the bedding is comfortable, and the soundproofing is good, ensuring a quiet and restful environment. The breakfast, especially the rice noodles and soy milk, was delicious! 😋 My child loved it so much and wanted to stay another day, but our plans changed, so we'll have to come back next time.

The housekeeper will meet you at the entrance of the ancient town and help you with your heavy luggage, saving you the trouble of dragging it across the stone-paved paths. In the morning, enjoy a sea-view breakfast featuring both Yunnan-style rice noodles and Western light meals. No need to rush through a checklist; here, gazing at the sea, feeling the breeze, and patiently awaiting a sunset is the perfect way to travel. It's ideal for couples seeking a romantic getaway, girlfriends traveling together, or families wanting to slowly savor the Erhai Lake experience.

The room was excellent! You don't need to bring any toiletries, as they provide cotton towels, disposable face towels, and even disposable bathtub liners and bath salts, so you can enjoy a sea view while soaking in the tub. The room offers an unobstructed, pure sea view—the visuals are simply stunning. The butler contacted me via WeChat a day before check-in, making it easy to arrange luggage transfer in advance. This time, I had a bit of stomach discomfort upon arriving in Dali, and the butler was incredibly kind, driving me to see a doctor. It was truly heartwarming. Since getting around the town isn't very convenient, the butler was always patient and quick to pick me up, whether for meals or when I wasn't feeling well. He was so thoughtful and considerate. I will definitely stay here again next time. They also offer exquisite afternoon tea, warm soup, and even travel photography services, and the photos turned out beautifully.

This is a truly spontaneous review! The owner upgraded our room, and the sea view was absolutely amazing. This was the best guesthouse I booked during my week in Dali. The sunset and sea views were incredibly beautiful. I wanted to extend my stay for another night, but all the rooms were fully booked. The location is also super convenient, just a few meters from the ancient town. The owner offered pick-up and drop-off, and the recommended restaurants were incredibly delicious. This guesthouse is very clean and aesthetically pleasing. While it's not right on the beach, the room balcony offers a beautiful view of the white Bai-style rooftops across the way and the blue sky, which was exactly why I booked it. There are many beachfront hotels, but if you're not fixated on a sea view, I highly recommend this guesthouse. Plus, the breakfast is delicious! It's perfectly portioned for one person, so there's no waste. There's also an observation deck where you can overlook Erhai Lake. I honestly feel like you could spend an entire day here just enjoying the scenery. I'll definitely be staying here again next time!

Room is cosy, aesthetically pleasing and spacious. Do note on the loud honking noises and people talking that can be heard by the roadside below the building. Here is what needs to be improved: - Wifi is not room to room, it’s shared among the building and connection is bad. Tried to use personal mobile data and its equally bad. - No lift though we are staying at 4th floor so you have to carry your own luggage up - Lots of mosquitoes and bugs at night, the corridor could have used UV lamp to eliminate bugs - Room cleaning lady does sub standard job. Stay for 2 nights and she didn’t bother to clean or sweep the floor, just refill the amenities and change towel and that’s it. Whole room still in a mess as where we left off. Feedback to the staff and lady boss has to come over to rectify it herself. - At 9.15am in the morning, the room cleaning lady opened our room door while we were still asleep because she mistaken the wrong room to clean wow I booked this place because of the view and that it is newly opened. I hope the things mentioned can be improved otherwise i wouldn’t recommend anyone staying here.

Fantastic experience! I've been to Yunnan many times, and this is by far the best hotel I've stayed in overall. 1. The hygiene is excellent. They provide a full set of Jo Malone toiletries, and thoughtfully include sleeping pants, eye masks, and mosquito repellent. 2. The service is superb. The staff members are very friendly and respond quickly. 3. The hotel's view is amazing, perfect for lounging on the sofa and gazing at Erhai Lake. 4. The breakfast is delicious and offers a wide variety of options, though the rice noodles weren't quite to my taste.

This hotel in Shuanglang is incredibly convenient, located near Xihai Mu Dui and many other beautiful restaurants! You do need to climb a dozen or so steps to reach the hotel, but the stairs are lined with beautiful flowers. Once you get to the entrance, you'll find that the entire ground floor is an open lobby and lounge area (unlike other guesthouses that cram rooms onto the first floor, making things feel cramped). The front desk even has freshly brewed herbal tea, and the breakfast is absolutely delicious – rich in variety and perfectly balanced. The room was an even bigger surprise; it's very spacious with a fantastic layout that feels so comfortable. You can see the sea right from your bed, and the private balcony is huge. Sitting out there in the evening was the most relaxing part of my trip to Shuanglang. A big thank you to the hotel butler for the warm and thoughtful pick-up and drop-off service, and for helping with my luggage. I had a wonderful two-day stay.
