Hotels in Upper Section of the Erhai Lake Ecological Corridor, Dali City

A satisfying trip always depends on comfortable accommodation, and I feel so lucky and happy to have stayed at Leyuan during my visit to Dali. It's just a two-minute walk from Erhai Lake, with absolutely stunning views, and it's super convenient to get anywhere. On our first morning, I accidentally woke the owner up with my call, and he actually came to pick up our luggage at the village entrance on his tricycle, haha! Both the owner and his wife are incredibly warm and welcoming. They chatted with us about our travel plans, and the owner shared some fascinating and funny stories about his time in the military. It's so convenient that you can cook upstairs; I've been enjoying eggs and corn so much these past few days. The corn here is especially sweet! The owner's dogs and cats are all so adorable and playful, adding some delightful memories to our trip. Last night, the owner and his wife even invited me to go for barbecue with them at the North Gate of the Ancient City. If I hadn't just eaten mushroom fried rice and been worried about gaining weight the next day, I honestly would have loved to go with them. It truly felt like a home away from home. If I get the chance to come to Dali again, I'll definitely choose Leyuan, and next time I'll stay longer and go hiking with the owners, haha!

The room I stayed in was incredibly spacious, bright, and clean. The air conditioning worked perfectly for cooling, and both the hot and cold water temperature and pressure were excellent. I had a really good night's sleep. The service was also fantastic. All necessary information, including the WiFi password, breakfast details, and laundry service, was sent promptly via WeChat. The room even had an umbrella and a canvas bag for guest use. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast offered a good variety of food. It's a perfect location for setting off on a bike ride along the Erhai Lake West Corridor, and it's not overly noisy or crowded. It's also not far from Dali Old Town, Three Pagodas Park, and Xizhou Ancient Town.

Great place to catch sunrise with a 5min walk out, directly near the sea. Service is fantastic. However you do need a buggy ride out (provided by the hotel) for cars which are bigger. Other than that, it’s pretty good. Restaurants are limited in the area, but you could walk 15min to more restaurants along the lake.

Afternoon Tea: There's afternoon tea every day, and it's not just a perfunctory offering – they have really delicious cakes and such. Welcome Fruit: Freshly washed fruit is provided daily. Service: The service is truly excellent. As someone who used to work as a server, I can say the attitude here is outstanding. Environment: It's exceptionally clean and tidy, and the staff are very friendly and never superficial. Hygiene: Superb. I'll definitely recommend this to my friends and family next time! 👍

The room facilities are great, with a 2-meter king-size bed and a 60-inch TV. It's spacious and clean. The location is excellent, about a 5-minute walk from the eco-corridor, and they even offer free bicycles. The owners are very friendly and provide excellent service. Highly recommended!

The location is the best. If you cannot cycle you can take a stroll by the lake. The host is very hospitable, warm and welcoming . They drove us for strawberry picking and to Xizhou village. They also helped to arrange a car for a whole day tour around Erhai lake. They are very concerned and check on us. Reminding us to keep warm and our booking of car to railway. The room is spacious and clean. Full ammenities. I truly recommend to stay here and for Muslim there is a HALAL restaurant just a few meters from the hotel. A very big convenience shop caller Busy For You to get your goodies as souvenirs.

When traveling to Dali, there are countless B&Bs, and we were lucky enough to choose Diehaiyue. It's truly a meticulous and service-oriented B&B. Two days before check-in, the B&B proactively contacted us and added us on WeChat, so we didn't have to worry about getting lost. They gave us a drop-off location, a very cute parking lot sign that said 'Mitu Taoyuan Parking Lot.' Whether you're taking a taxi or driving, you can drive directly to the parking lot. If you arrange it in advance via WeChat, the B&B will arrange for a golf cart to pick you up, as the B&B is located in Taoyuan Village, where cars are not allowed. At first, I thought it would be a hassle, that I had picked a B&B with difficult access, and that getting out later would be inconvenient. But it actually worked out fine. It's just a few minutes' walk from the parking lot to the B&B; the car transfer is mainly for guests with luggage. The area in front of the B&B is perfect for cycling and travel photography. It's an ideal place for a leisurely holiday. The B&B only has 12 rooms, offering options for every budget. If you want an unbeatable sea view, the 270-degree rooms facing Erhai Lake will truly make your heart sing every time you open the curtains. More importantly, the soundproofing is absolutely perfect; no matter how many people or cars are outside, you won't hear a thing. Although the B&B has four floors, the staff will help carry your luggage to your room, and when you're leaving, you just need to message the group, and they'll immediately help carry it downstairs. A special shout-out to their instant replies on the WeChat group, no matter the time. Due to the B&B's location, there isn't a *[word missing in original text]*, and even express delivery is limited to SF Express and JD. However, they have a food delivery app called 'Paotui Kuaiche' (errand express). While the choices might seem limited, it also has a feature where the errand runner can help you buy things. In reality, you can get almost anything, it just takes a bit more time, but items are delivered right to your door, which is very convenient. However, this service is only available until midnight. The B&B includes breakfast and afternoon tea. For breakfast, there are three types of rice noodles: zhajiang, chicken, and beef. You can also order sandwiches. After staying for several days, I tried everything, and it was all delicious and never got old. A special mention goes to their drink bar. Beverages are complimentary during breakfast and afternoon tea, and you can order them at other times. Most importantly, they are always accommodating. I even had an urgent need to print documents for work, and the staff helped me out for free. They also offer laundry service, and everything comes back clean. The healing scenery, ample air conditioning, and perfect service attitude alone make this place wonderful. Right outside, there's a great spot for running and strolling. Compared to most other B&Bs where you have to cross a road to see Erhai Lake, the feeling here is completely different. I highly recommend this B&B. It's worth noting their XGIMI projection TV; screen-mirroring your phone to watch movies is a fantastic experience. Next time I come to Dali, I'll definitely choose this place again.

Treasure Seaview B&B along the Cangxi River, the sea view is absolutely amazing. The whole house is well done, the boss is Hui, the food is clean and hygienic, no need to worry, the boss is very friendly. Watch the sunrise in the morning, blow the sea breeze in the evening, the living experience is full, I strongly recommend all friends to stay!

The hotel is located in Majiuyi Village. They proactively contacted us before our trip and provided precise parking location (they even helped with our luggage upon arrival and departure). The parking lot is only a minute away (it's a small village road, so passing other cars is inevitable, and you need some driving skills 😂). There's a green corridor right outside the door, and the balcony faces Erhai Lake with an unbeatable view (beware of the mosquitoes at night, they're huge!). The nearest car rental point is about 600 meters away, and there are also eco-friendly shuttle buses that stop on demand, making it very convenient for exploring Erhai Lake. I estimate that Panxi S-Bend is about 5 kilometers to the north, and Caicun Wharf is about 5 kilometers to the south (actually, the area around the hotel is beautiful enough, there's no need to go to crowded areas). As the reviews mentioned, breakfast offers three set menus to choose from, and bottled water, fruit, yogurt, and flower cakes at the front desk are all available for free, and they all taste quite good. The staff are warm and friendly, responding promptly to any questions. A special thank you to Xiao Li, who provided excellent service throughout. The hotel's food is quite good, reportedly the best in the area, and I would recommend it.

We drove there, and the drive was relatively smooth. We parked on the roadside in front of the guesthouse; it's a one-way street, and sometimes electric tricycles pass by, so you have to give way. You can also park on the side of the country road. You can cycle around the courtyard. We arrived around 10 PM and cycled about 7 kilometers to S-shaped bend. There were hardly any people on the road, a gentle breeze, a bright moon, and a sky full of stars—a much better experience than during the day! P1 is a view from inside the room. We got up at 7 AM to check if there was a sunrise. P2-4 were taken from the rooftop, where the view is even more expansive. You can see Erhai Lake in front and Cangshan Mountain behind. You don't need to go outside; after the view, we went back to the room and took a nap. You can also go outside; there's a small boardwalk extending out from there, which is also very beautiful. The guesthouse was quite new, the bedding was clean, and they provided disposable toilet seat covers. The slippers were also of good quality. It's great value for money. Dali is very congested during holidays, so cycling is a good option.
