Hotels in Erhai Park, Dali City

We had a bit of a disappointing experience at the Jiatu Scenic Hotel. The room listing states ‘lake view’ so we booked that room, however, it turns out that this room does not face the lake and has an internal car par window instead. The listing photos conveniently have the net curtains of the windows drawn so you can’t see this from the inside photos. The receptionist insisted the Trip.com listing was accurate because the hotel was near the lake and therefore a ‘lake view’. They would not change us to a room with the lake view that we believed we booked, despite having multiple lake-view rooms available and us checking in at 10.30pm. They insisted the only way we could change the room was to cancel our booking (and incur a 50% cancellation fee) and rebook the more expensive ‘sea-view’ room instead. We contacted Trip.com who spoke to the hotel also but they were unwilling to help or move us, despite the room not matching the listing description. Trip themselves were very helpful and offered us some compensation. In the end we stayed in the room we’d booked with no lake view. The room itself was lovely and spacious, had storage options and was clean and tidy. If we’d booked knowing this didn’t have a lake view then it would have been perfect! The location is near the station which is great if you’re there for one night, however we were there for 2 nights and had to travel 40 minutes to get to Dali Old Town or the 28 bends ecological corridor, so personally if I were to come to Dali again I would choose a hotel in that location instead. It is worth noting that the hotel is across the road from the lake, so you can see cars and the road even in the lakeside view rooms.

Falling into a dreamy blue embrace by Erhai Lake. They say Dali's romance lies between the mountains and the sea, but Fengyouyuan • Luyu Shiguang Seaview Homestay has brought that romance right into the rooms. Located in Erhai Tianyu, Xiaguan, Dali, it offers unparalleled sea views and a strong sense of design. The selection of amenities is thoughtful, and the service is excellent. The owner even gave us a souvenir when we left. As dusk fell, I soaked in the hotel's bathtub, a sweet, slightly intoxicating wine by my side, and the gentle shimmer of Erhai Lake before my eyes. The sky gradually painted itself, from pale blue to Klein blue, as if God had spilled his palette. The bubbles in my sparkling wine gently burst, subtly merging with the ripples of Erhai Lake. In this moment, time seemed to slow down, and all I wanted was to forever be immersed in this blue romance.

I highly recommend this Hilton! The hotel itself is very new, with a simple yet elegant design, and all the facilities are well-maintained. The location is absolutely fantastic; it's just a 10-minute walk to Xingsheng Bridge and Erhai Park, with plenty of restaurants and convenience stores nearby, so you don't have to worry about dining or shopping. The room's cleanliness is impeccable – the bathroom, corners, and crevices were all spotless, there were no strange odors, and the soundproofing was excellent, ensuring a completely undisturbed rest. The service is definitely a bonus point; the staff were patient and attentive throughout, check-in was efficient, they proactively offered touring advice, and actively helped resolve any issues, even thoughtfully preparing welcome fruits. From the hardware and cleanliness to the service, everything was flawless. The value for money is outstanding. I've already recommended it to my friends, and I'll definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Dali!

We chose this hotel after seeing photos of the amazing views from its rooms - and we were not disappointed. The hotel is located in a high rise residential apartment complex, and situated in between the east and west banks of Erhai lake. You could see both banks clearly from the balcony, with Cangshan serving as the backdrop. Service was personal and wonderful too. We had our rooms upgraded for free to a bigger one, and the staff gave many useful recommendations of local restaurants, attractions and bike rental - very very handy for cycling Erhai lake (the bike shop she recommended was professional and provided high quality bikes which enabled us to go halfway around the lake, and could be returned at a different location). She also made us tea personally upon request, and offered to teach us teamaking. Overall, a very pleasant stay with nothing to complain about. Will recommend this hotel to fellow travellers who are looking to stay in a less touristy part of Dali, away from the ancient town area, with amazing views from the hotel itself.

The room view was great! Our butler, Domi, contacted us a few days in advance to ask about our check-in needs and even recommended some fantastic local eateries that offered incredible value for money. There's also a 'Starlight Bar' on the 25th floor of the hotel which is perfect for photos. Other staff members were also incredibly proactive and helpful.

The sea view from the room is unobstructed, and the moment you open the door, you're greeted by the turquoise Erhai Lake. The 'orange sea' at sunset is absolutely stunning for photos. The room itself is dry and free of dampness, and well-equipped with all amenities. The butler service is attentive and thoughtful. It's a quiet place, perfect for unwinding and healing all travel fatigue. I'll definitely choose this place again on my next trip to Dali.

This stay far exceeded my expectations! The friendly smiles from the staff upon entering were a great start. The room design was simple yet stylish, and the bedding was soft and comfortable, completely washing away my travel fatigue. The location is quiet yet convenient, with plenty of dining and entertainment options nearby. The front desk even thoughtfully upgraded my room type. The shower had excellent water pressure and consistent temperature, and the mattress was just right, ensuring a truly restful sleep. This place is perfect for both business trips and vacations, offering incredible value for money. I'll definitely stay here again next time!

A friend recommended this hotel, and it turned out to be a great choice. The location is good, quite close to Erhai Lake. There's an ecological park nearby with plenty of food options, and you can even ride shared bikes through it – the scenery is much better than the Erhai Lake Ecological Corridor. The room was spacious, and for just over 200 RMB, it was excellent value for money. It also included breakfast, and they even provided complimentary breakfast for our two children, which was a nice touch. The hotel has a laundry room, a kids' club, and a gym on the first floor, which kept the little ones entertained. We had an early flight on our second day, so I didn't get a chance to take many photos, but here are some beautiful blue skies and white clouds from Dali!

The staffs upgraded my room. Room is pretty awesome. Feels luxurious lol. The room came with a cute AI voice (you call out to her saying : 天猫精灵), and I could switch off/on all the lights with voice command. I think there is much more to it but I didnt expore further. The location is GOOD, like 6-8 minutes walk to the Dali Station. Between Hawthorn and the Station, crossing the road via a bridge is convenient as there is an elevator other than the stairs. I would pick Hawthorn again If there is chance.

Dali Erhai Lake boasts countless hotels and B&Bs, which can make choosing one a real challenge. We picked Villa Shanjuan after considering several factors, and as someone who rarely stays in guesthouses, I was pleasantly surprised – no wonder it has such high ratings! The manager personally picked us up from the airport, and since there's no elevator, the staff (all women, which was impressive!) carried our luggage upstairs. Just give them a 15-minute heads-up for breakfast, and you can enjoy your meal downstairs while taking in the stunning views of Erhai Lake. We stayed in a 270° panoramic room, and sitting on the balcony, feeling the breeze and admiring the lake, was incredibly relaxing. The observation deck on the third floor is definitely a highlight. Highly recommend!
