Amazing
CChristopherA very well appointed hotel conveniently located in the historic downtown adjacent to RISD and an easy, if uphill walk, to Brown, with a number of decent restaurants nearby. The furnishings, bathroom, and linens were all of high quality. Despite other reviews I found the staff to be rather limited in their engagement versus the friendliness praised elsewhere, but nothing off-putting. The restaurant Bellini tries to punch a bit above its weight though for Providence it’s decent. Overall by far the best hotel in Providence but still a stretch from true five star luxury or a genuine upscale business hotel like Four Seasons or Mandarin Oriental.
GGuest UserIf you want the room to be cleaned, you have to book it the day before. There is no one at the telephone reception at night. I have stayed in this hotel many times. Except that the cleaning is not done regularly and I am a little uncomfortable with it, everything else is the regular standard of Marriott.
GGuest UserThe hotel is very close to Brown and can be reached on foot. The surrounding environment is safe and clean. It is very comfortable to take a walk. There are many supermarkets and restaurants next to it. Starbucks is on the second floor! The hotel has free coffee in the lobby in the morning, which tastes good!
