Plenty of parking, quiet location, easy to find. Hartlepool is a hidden gem on this coast with plenty to see in the town itself. Packed full of history. Within easy reach of Seaton Carew, another hidden gem; Able Seaton Port; Middlesbrough; Blackhall; Horden; Seaham."

"The hotel was clean and the staff were very good. But the hotel and adjoining beefeater are very tired. The car park which was charged at £3.30 per night had the appearance of a deserted ghost town with weeds everywhere. Beautiful setting but needs investment."
