"The location of the house is very good. Walking distance to top attraction in Malang. But the cleanliness of the room could be improved. We found some stains in pillow covers and bed sheets. The weirdest thing about the hotel is their NO SMOKING policy. We really don’t understand why they put no smoking sign but they also provide ashtray on every table in front of every room. They should not allow smoking everywhere if they have a no smoking sign in front of the reception."

The staff were genuinely friendly and helpful from check-in to check-out — they made us feel really welcome. Breakfast had plenty of delicious options, and the location was perfect, close to many local attractions and cafes. The room was comfortable, quiet, and well-equipped, making it easy to relax after a long day exploring the city. We also appreciated the smooth service and warm hospitality throughout our stay. "The hotel is strategically located right in the heart of Malang city, next to a mall and a stadium. The room was clean and the service was quick. I stayed with my family for 2 nights during our trip to Bromo. The food at the cafe was also delicious, especially the pecal and coffee. Fantastic!"

"I like the breakfast at this hotel. The serving time is quite long — four hours during which you can choose anything to eat or drink. There are fruits, breads, noodles, fried rice, omelets, eggs cooked on the spot, cakes, and a wide variety of delicious snacks. The swimming pool on the top floor is very clean, and I really like it."

"Good location just by the railway station, the room is clean but very standard. Its a good place for one night or if you just sleep and then go out and don't come back until night time for sleep. It's not a room you want to hang out in. But as I said, it's clean and I don't have any complaints about the room it self, its just a bit boring. Good value!"

"The location is superb and very strategic, close to Malang's culinary center, making it easily walkable everywhere. Breakfast comes with a voucher, allowing you to choose your meal. The room was incredibly spacious with two queen beds."

"The location is just off the main street running through Malang, makes the hotel less affected by traffic noise. One of the minor drawbacks of this hotel is the lobby drop off area and minimal availability of parking onsite. The friendliness and helpful customer service can be felt as you step into the hotel, from the security to the receptionist and workers all radiating warm smiles. Our check in process was smooth, we were assisted to find an available room for early check-in before 1pm . The restaurant staff was also attentive and courteous. The hotel felt relatively new, only a couple years old and in great shape. The bedroom had semi firm but comfortable mattrass, with abundant pillows. Delightfully we got a 55” LG Smart Tv, with the to-date streaming services available (Netflix, Disney, Prime, Vidio, Youtube) and also cable tv showing international channels (AXN, Japanese, Arabic, etc). The room felt very cosy for resting after a long day's work or travel. The bathroom, although only had showers and no bathtub, gave great water pressure and hot water. The only complaint from the hotel is perhaps due to the connecting door, we can hear the other room's door closing and opening loudly as well as some talking from the other room. Hotel had an interesting gym for good workout, rooftop cafe/restaurant. Didnt try any of those facilities for this trip but hopefully for my next trip. This is my second stay at 101 and look forward to returning again. Also, right across the hotel is a Sara Bakery, which serves good cakes and bakery products, and has a full restaurant menu also."
