"So far so good. Whenever I visit Malang, this is always my top choice. It's right in the city center, super close to Kayutangan, just a short walk away. It's also near a mall. Before, there weren't many budget-friendly options, but now there are plenty. The receptionist is really friendly, and they allow early check-in and luggage storage if you want to explore before your check-in time. The security guard is also very friendly and helps manage parking in the limited space. The only downside is that if you're in a budget room, you might hear noise from the next room, haha. "Ijen Suites Resort and Convention is a great hotel that left a very positive impression from start to finish. The property is very clean and well maintained throughout. Breakfast was a highlight with mostly local food on offer which was a really nice touch and made the experience feel authentic and welcoming. The staff truly stood out with their warm and genuine hospitality making every interaction pleasant. The surrounding area is also lovely and perfect for a relaxing walk in the morning or afternoon with nice cafes and restaurants nearby. The hotel itself comes with great amenities including a gym sauna swimming pool and cafe ensuring there is always something to enjoy during your stay. Overall nothing negative to mention at all. "The hotel itself is in the city centre and within a mall which is convenient but it can get very crowded (and jammed) on weekends. The staff are polite and understanding. We had to pay 100k IDR deposit for our rooms but since we were carrying sleeping kids, they let us check into the rooms first. Room is clean but old and basic. The room does not have safe deposit box, unmovable shower head. Basic amenities are dental kit, sanitary bag, shower cap, and lotion. Shampoo and shower gel are 2-in-1 and stuck on the wall. There’s only bath towel (no hand towel). Sound-proofing can be improved since the corridor is not carpeted. Breakfast is free for kids 5 and below. Taste-wise it’s ok. Apart from egg station, salad, waffles and bakery section, the rest are very much Indonesian style."

"A perfect short stop for a night before our trip to Bromo. Located exactly on the side of Alun-alun Malang. Lots of food stalls and there's a common area on the 2nd floor facing Alun-alun. Bathroom was spotless clean, the pod quite spacious for 2 people and everything works fine. Quiet hours start 9pm, the ones stayed on the top pod were a bit noisy in the quiet hours, but overall we enjoyed our stay at the place."
