Miyakojima Hotels with Wifi

"It was my first time staying in a container hotel, but it was comfortable and great. I appreciated getting various snacks with the vouchers provided. It was non-smoking, so there was no cigarette smell. There was also a laundry room and vending machines (both non-alcoholic and alcoholic) on-site, so I could go whenever I needed something. They also provided one bottle of water per day, which was helpful when making instant noodles or other drinks."

"We stayed in a suite (*^^*) My son and I were both so excited about the curtains!! (lol) As soon as we stepped into the hotel, we were greeted by a wonderful fragrance and a grand atmosphere; everything leading up to our room was refined. The room had a fantastic location, a great layout, and a very comfortable flow of movement. I thought to myself, ”I'd love to live in a room like this in my retirement!” (lol) I also appreciated that the toilet was a little further away (^^) My 4-year-old son said, ”This is the best! I want to live here!” There was also a steam iron, which I used on a dress that I was worried about wrinkles in, and I was able to wear it comfortably. The meals featured many Okinawan dishes, and everything was very high quality and delicious. I really liked the quality of the ingredients and the seasoning. Every seat in the restaurant was beautiful; it felt like being in an art museum. There was also a laundry room, which was a great help as I could wash my pre-washed swimsuit. It's convenient because you don't need detergent, and it's also environmentally friendly. I would definitely like to stay here again. Next time, I hope it's sunny so we can swim in the pool and use the bar. It was a wonderful memory. Thank you so much (*^^*)"

"Spacious rooms and very clean. Basic design but good value for money. Location is out of town, you will need a car. But they have car rental on site. Overall it’s great. Just watch out for car parking spaces. They have a secondary car park but it’s 800m from the hotel and you will need to get the hotel van. The road is unsafe to walk on at night as no lights."

"I enjoyed the natural beauty of Miyakojima and Shimojishima Island at Meer Hotel. It was easy to get there from Shimojishima Airport as bus number 9 stops right in front of the accommodation. I could also take bus number 9 to Painagama Beach and Maehama Beach. It was great to cook meals with my family at Meer Hotel, and the towels were changed regularly, which was a nice touch. They even lent us a Wi-Fi device, which was a huge help for our trip. The hotel staff were incredibly friendly and provided lots of helpful information, making for a wonderful week. I'd love to visit Miyakojima again and this is definitely a hotel I'd return to. Thank you so much! P.S. If you go behind the accommodation at night, you can see the stars. There are many palm trees right next to the hotel, giving it a real tropical feel. Don Quijote, a local produce market, Aeon Drugstore, and Aeon (Maxvalu) supermarket are all within a 5-minute walk, making it the perfect location for a trip."

"Pros: The swimming pool and small beach are convenient for playing in the water; parking is close and ample; the rooms are spacious and functional; the hotel is clean; the staff speak Chinese; the housekeeping staff are very polite and smiling; the hotel shop has a wide selection of common souvenirs and local specialties. Cons: The surrounding dining options are not as numerous as in the city; latex pillows are not provided; and the breakfast options and variety are limited."

"Watermark was a perfect location for us on a couple’s getaway. Since we were flying into Shimojishima airport and rented a car, we found it to be a very convenient location—only a six minute drive away. Although we could see the runway in the distance, we hardly noticed the noise of air traffic. On top of that, we enjoyed that it was in a remote area and not in the middle of town (like Miyakojima) or in the midst of a major resort area (like Shigira). We didn’t mind exchanging more driving time for more serenity. I could go on about the location but if you are looking for a quiet place on the water, I highly recommend this hotel! The staff were always polite, which is expected in Japan, but there was also a kind of relaxed warmth that I haven’t always felt from staff in other Japanese hotels. The facilities also struck a perfect balance for us. Not garish, not too plain; just enough island flavor but not too much. I was refreshed every time I walked through the lobby. The breakfast buffet area was clean, fairly well organized and offered a great view of the ocean. We enjoyed our breakfast times daily. We used the laundry facilities and found the machines easy to use—glad to have had this option. We also enjoyed watching the sunset from both our room balcony and the rooftop pool. We loved our room. It was simple but had everything we we wanted, including a balcony. If you’ve ever seen a modern Japanese one room apartment, it feels much the same, without the gas range. It was perfect for our stay."

"There are many turtles when you go to Wai Wai Beach right in front of you. There is no need to pay for a hopping tour. Just wear a swimsuit and go out and see the fondant and turtles and come into the hotel to wash. Lots of breakfast buffet. There is no need to take the shuttle to other beaches. There is ice in the laundry room on the first floor of the hotel, so it is very convenient to take ice and pack it out, drink beer at the beach, swim with turtles, and wash your swimsuit in the laundry room. I'll stay here again."

"Great experience in Miyakojima! Location: The hotel is located in the center of the city, which is super convenient as a starting point to anywhere of the island: from here, the taxi to any direction is within 30 minutes at a cost of less than 3,000 yen. There is a FamilyMart across the road and you can get anything needed easily. And there are a lot of good dining places in the neighborhood. I made no reservation to any restaurant but just take a short walk randomly to the nearby restaurant every day and always find delicious food (there is one Japanese-style wagyu BBQ across the street which is super good!). Room: The room is cozy and spacious. You won’t feel it too narrow to open your suitcase as hotels in Japan elsewhere. The bed is comfortable. Facilities: There is a microwave in each floor, which is useful especially you need to leave early in the morning and have no time for breakfast. And there are also washing machines and dryers on the 1st floor, which is a must-have if you have activities in the sea. If there is any improvement I must say, that is the light in the room is too dim and it is not easy to do makeups."

"This luxury resort is located on the southern coast of Miyako Island. Staying on Fridays costs around $13,000 per night. The resort itself is very large, with regular shuttle buses running throughout the day and night. The hotel also provides tuk-tuks and golf carts during the day. For those with deep pockets, you can book a villa room with a pool. 😎 Our room was 55 square meters, with a living room right after the entrance. The beds were single and king-size, and the space was very spacious. The bathtub in the bathroom overlooked the balcony, and the view was quite relaxing. The refrigerator provided two free bottles of beer and two bottles of tea, and a capsule coffee machine was a must-have. I loved the living room in the room, facing the large floor-to-ceiling windows, perfect for relaxing and browsing my phone. The pool is small and square, unassuming, but the lush greenery creates a relaxing and relaxing atmosphere. Every day at 9:30 AM, you can feed the turtles in the hotel lagoon. Even before the time arrives, you'll see them gathered by the lagoon, waiting for you. Watching them swimming freely is so relaxing! 💚 The best thing about staying here is that even if you don't see any turtles while out at sea, the hotel guarantees you'll see some. The room rate is totally worth it! Almost all restaurants in the park require reservations for the evening. We didn't make reservations and went to a Chinese hot pot restaurant, #LittleFatSheep, which was also delicious. If you have the opportunity to make reservations, consider teppanyaki or yakiniku restaurants, both of which are excellent. We only stayed one day, so we didn't have much time to experience all the activities in the park, and we didn't get to go to the Golden Hot Springs, which was a bit of a shame."
