"The room was very clean and the front desk staff were really friendly. I asked for a room facing away from the railway tracks and they happily switched it for me. I booked this hotel for my Kumano Kodo trek. It's small but has everything you need: a bathtub, shower, desk, and carpet. I forgot to take photos, but the room was probably around 8-9 square meters. It's quite small, but the soundproofing was decent. I booked breakfast included, which was pretty simple. I arrived early because I had a train to catch, so I just grabbed a quick bite and headed out. It's located in the countryside, so there aren't many places to explore, and a lot of shops close early. I ended up getting dinner from a convenience store, which was conveniently located right next to the station. P.S. The electric kettle was surprisingly made of plastic!"

"This hotel served as a perfect stopover while hiking the Kumano Kodo. It's less than a 10-minute taxi ride from Kumano Hongu Taisha. This was my second stay, and when I asked, the hotel mentioned a renovation in November 2025, but it sounds like it will only be a partial refurbishment! The hot springs are very comfortable, with both indoor and outdoor baths. The outdoor bath is mixed-gender, and they provide special robes you can wear out there. I booked the half-board option (dinner and breakfast), but the food was quite ordinary with limited choices. However, since there are no convenience stores nearby, eating at the hotel was the only option. The hot spring river, just a 5-minute walk away, now has a public hot spring pool. Many people were enjoying it early in the morning, and kids were also digging their own small pools in the river. Waking up to the steam rising from the river was just wonderful."

"J-HOPPERS is conveniently located. Just walk straight ahead after getting off the bus; it's at the fork in the road, or you can find it at the fork next to Tangfeng Prince. Google Maps is wrong; it leads to a long detour. It's also very close to the Millennium Hot Spring. I stayed in an 8-person room, each with individual capsule-style cubicles. The space was good; I could sit up and there was still plenty of room. The hot spring was very comfortable. Breakfast was free, consisting of congee. Even better than the facilities was the guesthouse's genuine hospitality and warm service. The owner even helped me carefully research the ticket purchase process for fishing in the river."

"The hotel is very nice and still feels brand new, with a great location close to Kii-Tanabe Station. The staff were friendly, the check-in process was fast, and the room was very clean and comfortable. The laundry facilities, ice machine, and vending machines were all excellent. We also appreciated the free breakfast and complimentary coffee/tea in the afternoon. This hotel is highly recommended and perfect as a starting point for the Kumano Kodo journey. One suggestion would be to offer breakfast earlier or provide breakfast boxes for hikers starting early in the morning. Highly recommended, and we would definitely stay here again."

She's a fantastic communicator; if you ask one question, she'll give you several answers, anticipating your next questions or things you might want to know. I'm really impressed by her professionalism. 【Seasonal Kaiseki Cuisine】Enjoy Kishu flavors, mountain and sea delicacies: The food was very good. The children's set meal was especially varied and beautifully presented. The only downside is the inconvenient transportation; you have to take a taxi every day to get around."

"I booked a budget room at this hotel for a one-night stop in Kii-Tanabe before setting off on my Kumano Kodo hike. The location is super convenient, with the train station, bus stop for the next day, convenience stores, the tourist center, and many restaurants all just a few dozen meters away. The hotel is older, and the facilities are basic but adequate. My room wasn't very large, but it was very clean."

"An old hot spring hotel located at the innermost of Tangfeng Hot Spring Street. You need to climb a small slope. Those with suitcases need to pay attention. You should be able to ask the hotel to pick you up. The hotel room is spacious and the facilities are a bit old, but the hygiene is good, the service staff is lovely, the dinner is also a standard Japanese set meal, the large bathroom has open-air and indoor, the water temperature is hot enough, you can recover your physical strength very well, and there is a car to take you to the bus station of Tangfeng Street in the morning."

"這個房間是因為之前預訂的旅店在我出發的前一天沒有確認訂單後我唯一的選擇，也成為了我這次熊野古道中邊路全踏破的完美開局。出了車站就碰見來接我的太田先生（60歲），簡單交流後他給我一本要到熊野古道館才能買到的小冊子，並且上面已經把古道外圍最遠的一個章蓋了，今天新手村的任務就是NPC帶我把其他兩個章蓋好，並讓我先嚐試2小時的山道徒步為明天的出發熱身。 太田先生全程熱情解説並沒有收取我額外任何的費用，距離他家步行3分鐘有羅森的便利店，我買了很多補給和晚餐，誰知道我住的房間裏早已被塞滿各種免費暢飲的飲料。房間安排在二樓，有廁所，但洗澡洗衣服要去樓下。房間面積超大，比我在京都的家還要大一點，晚上陽台可以看到完美山谷日落噢！廁所有點年代感但非常的乾淨，廁紙也是超厚香香的！浴室和洗面池配的各種洗漱用品齊全到可以不用打開洗刷包了！ 忙了一下午的太田先生晚餐衹是簡單的泡麪和肉丸，這讓我有點過意不去。晚餐後我們聊了很久，太田先生居然是半個中國通，如果大家有機會入住請多和他交流吧。 雖然這裏看起來離出發點有點距離，但有羅森便利店的加持和太田先生的熱情款待，這裏絕對是熊野古道出發的幸運地！我非常推薦！"
