"This hotel is situated slightly back from the beach bars which are only a few minutes stroll away. Its on a busy road and traffic noise can be heard from the apartments that face the road, ear plugs are provided both traffic did die down late evening.  The rooms are spacious and clean with air-conditioning, they do not have an elevator but bags were taken up by the porters who gave a great service. The staff are very helpful and polite, go that extra step to help you, they have a nice bar and good seating area with some seating along side the swimming pool. Break fast was good with plenty of choice with Ann egg station to where you could order your desired omelet. Wifi was also qood with plenty of plugs down stairs in the lounge. The beds were comfy but made a clattering noise when changing sleeping position, its only my opinion but to me the pillows were too large, would preferred slimmer pillows. I would recommend this hotel if your going to stay in El Nido, great location not near any boom boom bars the are alive till the early morning, what our stay at this hotel special was the staff that made our stay most welcome and all being on first name terms."

"I traveled to El Nido completely by myself this time and was a little worried about feeling lonely before I got here. Luckily, the front desk at Z Garden was super friendly, and the spots they recommended were all amazing. They could also just book my island hopping tours directly for me, which was incredibly convenient. Whenever I came back from a day out, they would chat with me for a bit, and I think it is seriously impressive how they manage to remember so many guests' names! Plus, having the night guards around made me feel super safe."

"I really liked the hotel and the beach itself. There are sun loungers, showers, toilets, and a small pool within the glamping area. Vendors aren't allowed on the property, so you won't be bothered. It can be a bit noisy in the room in the evenings/at night due to nature sounds – some might not like it, but we found it pleasant to fall asleep to. The mountain view from the room is beautiful, but if you look down, it's a bit of a swamp and a parking lot – not so great. Breakfasts are modest, machine coffee costs extra, and the fruits and vegetables are bland (except for the mango). Food and drink prices aren't cheap, but everything is good quality. Right outside the fence on the beach, there are several cafes, shops, and massage places. Upon check-in, we received some welcome gifts: 2 bottles of water, apples, nuts, instant noodles, and a shell necklace! And upon check-out, we got some small pastries. Transfers to/from El Nido airport or to the town center cost 1800 PHP for a minivan. Pros: Large, nice-looking rooms, plenty of towels, spotless white linens. Cons: Weak shower pressure, no handheld showerhead (only a rain shower), and no place to dry clothes."

"This is a simply wonderful hotel with included breakfast. We always had the cheese omelet, highly recommended! The rooms are clean, the air conditioning works well, and there was hot water throughout our stay. They cleaned our room as needed. It's very close to the port and the bustling main street, but you can't hear the noise from there, it's very peaceful."

"This hotel is perfectly adequate for a stay. The main draw is the fantastic sea view from the panoramic windows or the balcony. There are almost no issues with the room itself, except for the floor (some tiles are coming loose) and the bathroom, where there's occasionally a sewer smell. Otherwise, everything is good. For swimming, it's better to go to Vanilla Beach (to the right of the hotel), where you'll also find cafes. And for the best sunsets, head to the very end of Las Cabanas beach (to the left of the hotel)."

"This place is truly a little corner of paradise. It’s almost impossible to put into words how much we enjoyed our stay and how special this place is. The owners — an Englishman and a Filipina — are the perfect mix of warmth, hospitality, and attention to detail. They genuinely go the extra mile to make your stay comfortable and are happy to accommodate almost any request, always in such a natural and unobtrusive way. The rooms are comfortable, spotless, and beautifully maintained. The air conditioning is quiet, the mattresses and pillows are incredibly comfortable, and everything you might need is provided — right down to shower gel and a toothbrush. The hotel is still relatively new and everything is in excellent condition. There are free SUP boards for guests, and you can also rent a scooter from the hotel if you feel like exploring El Nido for the day. And then there’s the food… that deserves a review of its own! Everything we tried was absolutely delicious, and the cocktails were fantastic. You can order fresh seafood, or even buy it yourself and have the team prepare it for you. My husband loves grilling, so we arranged to get some meat and had our own little BBQ evening. One of the staff members was genuinely excited to help and learn how it’s done — such a small moment, but incredibly warm and touching. My husband also wanted to go fishing, and the local fishermen were happy to take him along. Unfortunately, we simply didn’t have enough time during our stay, but knowing that such experiences were so easily arranged made the place feel even more special. That’s the beauty of a small boutique hotel like this. Unlike huge resorts, they can actually respond to the individual wishes of their guests and make you feel personally cared for. At the same time, there is absolutely no pressure to socialize. Everything is beautifully balanced: if you want to chat, there’s always someone happy to talk to; if you want privacy, you’ll have complete peace and seclusion. It truly feels like your own little paradise. If we ever return to El Nido, we will absolutely stay here again. Thank you to the wonderful owners and the whole team for such a memorable stay. The sea at Nacpan in the early morning is a blue-grey colour, not dull grey but textured, almost like matte glass. The light comes slowly over the mountains and spreads across the water. I joined the free morning yoga class the resort offers, on the beach, which was very comfortable. One small frustration: not enough storage in the villa. Not many shelves or hooks, so camera gear and clothes had nowhere to go. The suitcase stayed open on the floor the whole time, which gets awkward in a small space. If you’re bringing a lot, just know that going in. The room has a coffee machine and mini fridge, but I still liked walking to the restaurant. Head out before sunset, lie on a sun lounger, have dinner, then wander back slowly. The stars at night were more than I expected.

This resort is best resort where I have ever been to. Staffs were really nice and kind every time. They helped us to make good memories. Complementary activities were good. We really recommend island hopping. This resort is rich in nature beauty. I will absolutely come back in near future.

”One thing worth knowing if you’re travelling with kids: there are no children’s facilities, no waterslides, nothing like that. This is the kind of place that makes adults want to slow down. As for the kids, the pool isn’t deep, and right next door is Lio Beach. They also have footballs and volleyballs to borrow. We sat at a nearby café eating ice cream while watching them play, and I think that’s honestly one of the best things a parent can experience. There’s a hotel shuttle roughly every hour that you can book to go into town. We arranged island hopping through the hotel, took the shuttle to the departure point in the morning, and found the area there had far more restaurants and shops than around the hotel. After the tour we stayed a bit longer in town before heading back, though not being able to shower straight away was a slight downside. On the room itself, two sinks is a mum’s dream. There’s a kitchen but I had no intention of cooking. Still, being able to wash fruit and have it ready was genuinely useful. Two large double beds, both very comfortable, and after a full day of activity the kids were asleep before we even had to ask.”

I didn’t feel like leaving! This place is a gem. It’s nestled on top of a small hill with mind blowing views. The room (Joglo 5) had spectacular views from the balcony and was very well equipped. It was clean, comfortable, bright, and spacious. The infinity pool and restaurant were the icing on the cake. Beautiful sunsets and vibe! Service was also excellent - thanks to Wilma, RV, Maggie, Lemer, Geo, Lester, Ellen, the Chef, and all others!

We stayed for a night at this hidden villa, and it felt like a true home away from home. The staff were incredibly kind and respectful, providing excellent service that made our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The food was a highlight—absolutely delicious, with a healthy breakfast offered in the morning. You can even request a floating breakfast, which added a special touch to the experience. While the villa is tucked away down a short gravel road, the peaceful and private setting made it worth the effort. The villa is kid-friendly, but families should be cautious around the tiled swimming pool area. There’s no TV, so if you’re traveling with children, make sure their devices are charged. Fortunately, the Wi-Fi is strong and reliable. Overall, it was a lovely, relaxing stay with amazing food and warm hospitality. We highly recommend this villa for a cozy and memorable getaway.

The hotel was in a super nice area of El Nido, and therefore I would highly recommend. But the hotel itself was too expensive for what you get, the room smelled like urine and when we told the staff they’d put in a air refresher that gave of a really strong sweet smell for a couple of hours and after that the urine smell was back again so they tried to cover it instead of fixing the problem. Breakfast was okay, nothing special. You should not eat or drink at the hotel as it is crazy expensive and you can get very nice food/coffee at a 2 minute walk.

The hotel was great. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Housekeeping came everyday. There was water, a mini fridge, shampoo, body wash and soap. Breakfast was great and a little bit different every morning. But there was always coffee, juice and fresh fruit. Even though it was a little bit out of the center of town, you could still get there very well by car and tricycle. We would definitely stay here again!

Matinloc Island is truly one of the best places to visit in El Nido, Palawan. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warm smiles and genuine hospitality. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and helpful, always making sure we had everything we needed. They treated us like family and made our stay comfortable and enjoyable from start to finish. The cooking was excellent — every meal was freshly prepared and full of flavor. The seafood was especially amazing, perfectly cooked and seasoned, and served with care we very love the steam fish. Big thank you for the chef 10/10,dining by the beach while enjoying the view made the experience even more special. The room design was modern, with touches of tropical style that made it feel warm and relaxing. The large windows and balcony offered stunning views of the beach and ocean — waking up to the sound of the waves and the sight of crystal-clear water was simply magical. The bed was soft and comfortable, and the room was well-equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. We also appreciated how well-maintained and spotless everything was. The staff made sure our room was always tidy and fresh, and they were quick to assist with any requests. The bathroom was spacious and clean, with good water pressure and quality toiletries provided. Aside from the food and service, the island itself is absolutely stunning. With its crystal-clear waters, soft white sand, and peaceful atmosphere, it’s the perfect place to relax, explore, and take beautiful photos. The hotel is located just beside the public market, its not a luxury hotel but its good enough , rooms are spacious, quiet .  Staff are friendly, its a km away or 100 pesos tricycle ride to the the lively Tourist area where you can join the island tour.  But near the hotel there is also a port area name Curong Curong where you can just walk and join the island tour.  Breakfast is not bad, Rice, bread, eggs, veggies and Two kind of meat that changes everyday.  Not much restaurant around the hotel area, Town Square has a ton of restaurant.

It's a nice place in front of the beach but the beach and water are not as beautiful as in the islands. I would recommend it if you want to open your eyes and see the beautiful sea and mountains around. The only bad thing is there is not a nice lobby where you can sit, chill and wait for your transportation. :)
