"The hotel has a beautiful building and setting, rooms are big enough and staff is friendly, but that is about where it stopped for us. Our booking was not made or lost, we luckily got two rooms, took about 30min to get ready, safe was locked, no toilet paper and shower went cold after 2 min. Smaller bed than expected and room looks and feels like it is neglected. Bar only has one red and one white wine and one beer, although the bar menu is about 1 full page of items. On the dinner menu about 30% of the menu was not available. I must say the dishes that was available was very tasty. The whole hotel lacks a vibe, that touch that makes one feel home is just not there and more availability of F&B Proximity to nature reserve is great, but I think one can do a bit better and still be in the same area."

"One of the worst hotels we have ever stayed in. The bathroom was very dirty, and the commode seat was not fixed properly or was broken. The bathroom also had a very bad smell, and when you opened the bathroom door, the smell spread into the room. The towels and pillowcases had many stain marks. We booked a family room with full board, but after lunch, they only offered dessert when we requested it. When I asked about it, they simply said they were very busy and forgot. Our room was for four people, but they had kept amenities only for two. After requesting four times, they finally arranged the items for the other two people. Dinner was good, but the breakfast was really not worth the money. Considering the price they charge, this hotel needs 100% improvement. Not recommended at all."

Food is the best in the area both portion n quality..it's a lady chef who is running the show Chef Wasana does amazing job with the food and Dusuni who was the FnB who took care of us. Third time here and thought they deserve a comment..love it you should try it too."

Breakfast has an omelette station which is always a bonus. We were fortunate to stay Christmas Eve with a gala dinner that was incredible. Lots of choice and delicious! Recommend this hotel."

"Overall, it's good. Children pay an additional $50 per person in the store. Remember to turn off all the lights when you leave the room, otherwise you will be full of bugs when you come back at night! All 6 rooms we checked in that day were Chinese. The boss was very enthusiastic and all food and drinks were included. I drank more than ten bottles of Coke at dinner and thought there would be an additional charge. For the safari on the second day, the boss asked for a price of 100 US dollars per person, which was much more expensive than outside. For convenience, I booked it with the boss. We will set off at 5:30 the next morning, and the boss will bring sandwiches and drinks, and enjoy them at the beach at the end."

"The hotel is nice, not particularly clean, but by Sri Lankan standards, it's average. The pool is nice, but there are no loungers to relax in. The staff is very friendly and cheerful. The food is traditional, nothing international, and I'm sorry to say, it wasn't particularly good either. Unfortunately, everything was served cold, and as a result, everything was very dry."

"I should make a review for this wonderful hotel. Very calm place and everything clean and tidy. Specially it’s really worth for money too and staff was very attentive. Dammi from reception supervisor I guess she was very good with dealing professionally and also she arranged nice cake for my mom’s birthday. Also rooms are specious with huge balcony and nice view. Only thing they should focus bit more about maintain of the pool. Apart everything very smooth and well arranged.!"

"An amazing experience. Convenient location: particularly for Block 5, which is quieter. It’s also very rural: one morning we surprised a pair of Golden Jackals about 100 meters from our breakfast! At night, the stars are a revelation (if it’s not too cloudy). Beautiful camp: Every detail executed perfectly. It’s all natural with several ponds, active bird life and occasional visits by monkeys. Dreamy room: large, airy, very comfortable bed. The bed-side charging points and the great lighting were a plus. Legendary candlelit dinners. Delicious food, with a wide variety on offer and changing every day. The chef went out of his way to accommodate our daily request for scrumptious Yala curd. Expert guiding: Don, Dulip, and Presanthe were excellent spotters (how did they see the sloth bears in that heavy brush?): we saw elephant, leopards, buffalo, mongooses, crocodiles, loads of birds, and interesting insects. . A professional, well-run operation: without rigid attention to timings. The team was open to suggestions, ideas, requests. Everyone in camp was warm, friendly, helpful. We will miss you all and remember our time at Leopard Safaris with affection and longing to be there."
