"After checking in, I discovered bloodstains on the bedding. This is a severe hygiene failure on the hotel's part, and they should have immediately apologized, offered a room change, and tried to appease me. Instead, this hotel did the complete opposite – instead of solving the problem first, they busied themselves reviewing surveillance footage and making excuses to shirk responsibility, eventually leading to the police being called. When the owner finally arrived, he showed a complete lack of concern, no apology, no attempt to make amends. This kind of handling doesn't just alienate one guest; it completely undermines the reputation and basic standards of Linhai City and branded hotels alike."

"It used to be the most high-end hotel in Linhai. Although it is a little old now, the design of the hotel lobby and rooms still makes people feel the temperament of the past. Every service staff greets guests with a smile or offers help. The front desk upgraded us to an executive king-size room. Although the room is not big, it has an independent cloakroom, especially the washroom is super large and has a window, spacious and bright, and highly comfortable. The breakfast is quite rich, and you can eat a lot of local specialties. The seafood street is not far from the hotel. You can walk along the lights for about 10 minutes at night to taste the local food. What is lacking is that there are only two bottles of bottled mineral water per day. It would be better if there is a place on each floor to pick it up; there is only a socket on one side of the bed, and it is very inconvenient to charge the mobile phone at night."

"The location is incredibly convenient; it's a 2-minute walk to Ziyang Street, and right across from Rong Xiao Guan, a restaurant under the Xin Rong Ji brand. The room facilities are complete, and the staff are very warm and attentive. What's particularly impressive is the hotel's cultural ambiance – it's fantastic! I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit Linhai."

"The hotel is better than expected, quite new, and the toilet is smart. The TV has an iQiyi membership, which is a plus for watching cartoons for children. The breakfast is average, not very special, only the Wenzhou glutinous rice is worth eating, but you have to make it yourself and the staff can't make it well. The hotel is in a good location, convenient to Ziyang Street, and the starting price is right. The price of Ctrip is more expensive than the store, I was ripped off, in the future, it is better to call and ask for hotels in small places."

"Cleanliness: Excellent. Ambiance: Comfortable, and it even has a balcony. Facilities: Great. Service: Warm and friendly. Its location is superb, being incredibly close and convenient to the Old Town and all local attractions. I'll definitely be back!"

"To be objective, this hotel has its pros and cons. Pros: The front desk proactively contacted me before check-in to provide parking directions, which was very thoughtful. The surrounding area is bustling with plenty of dining, shopping, and entertainment options, making it very convenient to get around. They even offer late-night congee, which is a comforting touch when you're tired. Cons: The hotel was renovated in 2022, but the facilities already feel a bit dated, with paint peeling off the doorknobs. The lobby on the first floor feels quite bare, and the public restroom on the same floor is a hygiene concern, lacking even toilet paper – which significantly detracts from the overall experience. I hope they will renovate and maintain the hardware in the future, and also improve the cleaning and supply replenishment in the public restrooms."

The service is attentive and thoughtful; staff even greeted us directly in the parking lot. The location is excellent, very close to Taizhou Fucheng Ancient City, making it convenient for getting around. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, making this our top choice when visiting Linhai."

"The location is excellent, right in the city center with a lively area around. The room itself is very spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the shower pressure is great. Overall, very satisfied! The only minor issue was that the parking instructions weren't very clear. It turns out the parking is at the back of the hotel. You need to drive from the hotel's front entrance, cross the road to the intersection, turn right, drive about 50 meters, and then turn right again into a small lane to access it."

The owner is exceptionally kind and provides attentive service, including pick-up and drop-off service from the station, making guests feel right at home. Highly recommended!"

"It's rare that this B&B has a 1.5-meter double bed (I chose n B&Bs but they all had 1.2-meter beds). It's very nice to take care of the kids. The proprietress was also very enthusiastic to pick us up in person. The Chinese courtyard in two TV dramas is really super large. I feel like I chose the right B&B"

"I had the pleasure of staying at the Taizhou Fucheng Yin Hotel, a recommendation from a friend. Arriving around 2 PM after a walk through the ancient street, I was immediately struck by its charm. The antique-style reception area, the venerable camphor tree with its sprawling canopy in the courtyard, the spotlessly elegant ground-floor restaurant, the guest rooms with their enormous bay windows, and of course, that breathtaking book bar – it all truly made me want to settle in for a long read. There’s so much to praise, and the breakfast definitely deserves a huge shout-out. While not extensive in variety, every dish was exquisite and delicious, offering a range of Taizhou local specialties that far surpassed anything you’d find at a street food stall. Finally, I must thank the hotel for the travel photography service. The photographer, Ban Dao Cha (半島茶), was not only highly skilled and patient but also had an excellent eye for aesthetics."
Linhai Yunqi Island Inn (Ziyang Street Taizhou Ancient City Branch)
"Facilities: The room was okay, but the smell was overwhelming and pungent. Even after using an air purifier all afternoon, the smell was still very strong. The front desk said it was the smell of wood, explaining that old houses with wooden beams tend to have this odor. I disagree; the bathroom, which doesn't have wooden beams, also had a strong smell upon entering. It was just renovated this year, so it's probably formaldehyde. My eyes were swollen the next day after sleeping there. Service: They don't offer afternoon tea unless asked. They did ask if I wanted a travel photoshoot. Environment: The courtyard is very small. It looks big in the photos, but there's actually very little space to move around. It's located in the old town, at one end of Ziyang Street. The soundproofing is poor. It gets quite noisy on the street starting around 5 AM; the garbage trucks are very loud. Breakfast: The guesthouse doesn't provide breakfast. They give you a breakfast voucher worth 15 yuan to eat at a restaurant across the street. Also, the dining hours are from 6:30 AM to 9 AM, so plan your time accordingly if you want to eat breakfast!"

"Very close to Ziyang Street, so it's super convenient for getting around. The housekeeper was also very attentive, and the red bean soup they brought us in the evening was delicious. Highly recommend staying here! 👍"
