"This was such a great find! Chao speaks great English and was super helpful organising a van from Beijing for us and taxis to the wall entrance. His wife is an excellent chef - the food was delicious! The house/apartment was very very comfortable and really well appointed. Highly, highly recommended if you’re looking to explore this part of the wall - which is very beautiful and very quiet."

"Hotel just a short walking distance to Jinshanling great wall entrance. After 4 hrs climbing up and down great wall. It good to walk back to hotel for a rest. Room is spacious and simple. Breakfast is typical Chinese style -- porridge, bun, vegetables. They do offer cook food at reasonable price. Only con is toilet floor will be wet after showering."

"Wonderful place to stay, we loved it! Within walking distance of the main gate of the Jinshanling Great Wall, this place is beautiful, spacious, welcoming, clean and comfortable. "At the beginning it is hard for me to choose even the review is positive, but when I arrive and check in, I totally change my view. The surrounding is cozy, the room are clean with no cigarette odour even they provide ash tray in the room (suggest owner take away the ash tray and put a notice smoke at provider smoking area out side the premises), toilet are bright and water pressure is good (but hope the owner can make a little bit changes for the wiring system of the water heater), the food is tasty and size are too big for solo traveller (suggest to owner set a price for small size for not wasting food), the owner parents are friendly and always give the good service. At night, surrounding is quite and good to rest. it is a walking distance to Jing shang ling tourist center but if planning to do the sunrise walk the owner will provide a transfer service to the entrance at 330am. Overall it is a good choice to stay here."

"Le jingshanling great wall hotel est parfaitement placé, juste à côté de l’entrée du parc d’accès à la grande muraille. Nous y étions en hiver et en semaine, hôtel était quasi vide, le personnel nombreux était très serviable. Personne ne parlait anglais, mais avec les applications de traduction nous avons toujours réussi à nous faire comprendre. L’hôtel ressemble à un lodge de grand parc américain avec un grand espace commun dans un bâtiment principal et tout autour des bâtiments de logements. Les chambres sont confortables. Nous avons fait un très bon dîner au restaurant le soir. Le matin, notre petit déjeuner a été servi à table car nous étions seuls. Petit déjeuner traditionnel chinois avec légumes, pâtes, dim sum, bao, …"

"The location of the guest house is just perfect,only 10 minutes walk from the mid entrance of the great wall. From there you can explore the Wall walking east and it’s the best,very few people. But the best thing about the accomodation is the sweet family managing it! The food is just delicious,with huge portions and big choice! The lady also gave me a big help to find a good taxi to go back to Gobeikou. Especially when you travel solo it’ is really nice to see such big smiles and help! I can only recommend it!"

"With an outside temperature of several degrees minus, we were glad to find our room well warmed up upon arrival. The room was really clean, the beds comfortable and the host friendly and helpful.
