Hilton Toronto/Markham Suites Conference Center & Spa ★★★★

📍 8500 Warden Avenue, Markham

"Absolutely terrible! I'm eight months pregnant, and because I'm Chinese and don't speak English, I always show them translations. But they discriminate against Chinese people! Multiple times, they'd burst into my room without knocking, or deny receiving information I'd clearly given them, with the manager claiming no notice was given. When I asked to review the surveillance footage, a short woman actually said, 'Why should we show you the surveillance? You don't understand English, so it's your own fault.' I've never, ever, ever seen anything like this. When I said I'd call the police, they mockingly said, 'Go ahead, let's see who's right.' It's truly disgusting, so, so, so disgusting, everyone. The last day was even worse; even though I'd informed them in advance, they denied it and burst into my room again. Disgusting. I don't think these people deserve to be called employees. And I emphasized repeatedly that I was pregnant! Towards the end, I even said I was pregnant and unwell, unable to move around, and several male managers sneered, 'If you don't come over here, we'll just throw your things out...' In the end, as a pregnant woman, they tormented me until I had abdominal pain for half the day! What's more, I'd already stayed here for 14 days, and not a single day did I get a good rest. Seriously, do not book this hotel, absolutely do not, unless you want to be bullied to death. My health has suffered, my baby's health is at risk, and you wouldn't believe their faces – that cold smirk, that disdain, as if other people's lives don't matter. It's truly, truly, truly repulsive. If I get the chance, I will contact the Chinese Embassy to intervene!"

"I chose this hotel this time because I had stayed there before the epidemic. I accepted a friend’s invitation to attend a dinner, so I went to the Toronto hotel again. It was very convenient. We were upgraded when we checked in. Except for a little problem with the coffee machine in the morning, everything else was fine."

"Normally check in time is at 3pm fortunately our room was available so we can check in earlier. Staff at reception were very politely and friendly. We were a group of 3 adults and reserved a two queen room which was tidy and towels were clean. Surely we will consider to stay at this hotel again if we plan to travel next time."

Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton Toronto - Markham, Ontario ★★★

"Like the overall spaciousness of the room, but a lot of space is wasted on the washroom with a Jacuzzi (which l didn't use). The separate shower (whose size could have been doubled with the available space) is TINY. Also the heating/cooling unit was so noisy that l had to turn it off during the night, not sure if we'd be able to get any sleep with it being turned off when it's hot. Room was renovated but some old hardware wasn't replaced. Bedsheets looked worn. After years of staying here since its inception in 2015, we are unlikely to return."
