"The private tour was exciting, and immersive. The tour guide provided by the hotel had a keen eye, and would notice even the smallest chameleon on a branch, or a crocodile on a distant shore. The sandwiches and iced water were a nice touch, and the spot to eat overlooking a dried wadi with the elephants in the background was surreal. When we had to get items and cash in town, we were set up with a tuk tuk, and the ride in was like a mini safari. We saw peacocks, monkeys, a mongoose, a crocodile and water buffalo. Fresh meals made to order were top notch. Beware, their deviled chicken is hot!! The rooms were comfortable and roomy."

"What an amazing find, such a beautiful villa with breathtaking views. The hosts are incredible, couldn’t do more for us and food was exceptional! We were welcomed, looked after and even taken to see where the food is farmed truly amazing experience! Is is a little way outside Ella so you need a vehicle, but if looking for an “off the grid” style location this is perfect!"

"Excellent stay with wonderful hosts who went above and beyond; they even provided a packed breakfast with coffee for our 5AM morning safari and a cooked breakfast when we returned. Dinner was excellent and so plentiful! The rooms were brand-new, spotlessly clean, and had everything you needed, including nice linen. The location is perfect—only 15 minutes from the Katagamuwa entrance to Block 1, which was great as it wasn’t too busy!"

"Overall, it's good. Children pay an additional $50 per person in the store. Remember to turn off all the lights when you leave the room, otherwise you will be full of bugs when you come back at night! All 6 rooms we checked in that day were Chinese. The boss was very enthusiastic and all food and drinks were included. I drank more than ten bottles of Coke at dinner and thought there would be an additional charge. For the safari on the second day, the boss asked for a price of 100 US dollars per person, which was much more expensive than outside. For convenience, I booked it with the boss. We will set off at 5:30 the next morning, and the boss will bring sandwiches and drinks, and enjoy them at the beach at the end."
