"The proprietor and his family were OUTSTANDINGLY HELPFUL during our stay including running us by car to and from the town whenever we needed to make the journey. They helped my wife when she bruised her wrist in a fall (elsewhere) and were really nice and loaned us a wrist warmer for my wife's extensive bruising. The room was clean and comfortable with electrically heated toilet with washer. Breakfasts were different each day (for three days) and satisfyingly full of nourishment. I cannot recommend too highly -Really nice place and lovely people running it. "

"The service staff who received us were kind and friendly. They knew that we were a mass transportation vehicle commuter. They also drove us a short distance to the homestay. By the way, they introduced what food and the exact location of the bus nearby. There were other passengers who stayed on the same day, and they also helped us separate from them. The room also helped us upgrade automatically, but I was worried that there would be other individual guests staying, there was no open KTV, I felt a little pity, but overall, the accommodation experience is good, next time I go to Nantou to play, I will want to live again 🥰"

"Although the room showed its age, it was impeccably clean. The outdoor common areas were beautifully adorned with many flowers, showing great care in their arrangement. The restaurant was also very cozy, the food was delicious, and the views were absolutely stunning. The staff were very polite. I would definitely want to stay here again."

"The B&B hosts were incredibly kind and friendly, patiently answering all my questions as a first-time solo traveler. I particularly loved that the restaurant's food was rich in dietary fiber, so I could enjoy my meals without worrying about gaining weight.
Even though I traveled by public transport, the B&B's fantastic location right by the bus stop meant I arrived as soon as I got off, which was very reassuring for someone traveling far from home for the first time, with no fear of getting lost.
The plants here are meticulously cared for by the owners; each one was so vibrant and pristine that I could barely tell if they were real or artificial. Beyond the entrance, lush potted plants adorned my room too, making me feel like I was in a secluded paradise.
My B&B room was spotless and well-maintained. From the floor-to-ceiling balcony window, I could sit and admire the scenery while sipping coffee and clearing my mind. Especially in early August, the swirling mist around Cingjing and the layered mountain ranges resembled a master's landscape painting. The vacation vibe was simply perfect! I sat there for an entire afternoon and still didn't want to leave.
Thank you, hosts, for such a wonderful holiday. I'll definitely visit again when I have the chance!"

"Pros: The proprietress was lovely - ever so kind and helpful. The guesthouse provided an excellent breakfast made my a nice young Indonesian lady. The view from our room’s window across the valley was great and we saw the sunrise (see photo). It was close to the bus stop to go up to Hehuanshan which was convenient for us. The bathroom was great, and clean.
Cons: It was cold in the room (but an electric blanket was provided)."

"I booked two lake-view rooms at the Fleur De Chine Hotel on June 7th and had a wonderful stay. The views were stunning, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the service was excellent. GGuest UserLocation is super convenient, barely 50m from the 7-eleven and SML's Nantou Bus Ticketing counter where Nantou Bus 6670 from Taichung drop passengers. The ground floor of the B&B is a elegantly decorated tea-shop and had a pleasant whiff of red-dates chinese tea, very welcoming on a hot day. Our room was nicely renovated, very cosy and clean, well laid out, with Taiwan cable channels and Youtube smart TV box. It has modern toilet fittings and very refreshing lightly scented shampoo and body wash in dispensers. The lady at the counter (小芸) was absolutely helpful. She sold us discounted ferry tickets compared to buying from the counters at the pier, explained activities to do and places to visit and boat/bus routes around SML when we arrived and gave us a WhatsApp to contact her for any queries. She also advised us to visit Itashao to taste the street foods for lunch and recommend places for dinner through WhatsApp after returning to Shiushe without pushing us to visit the restaurants nor buy tea from the shop. Truly warm ********* hospitality and the best part of staying in this B&B.

AAnonymous UserHotel is wonderful!!!! I went to Taiwan last year and saw this hotel. Told myself I need to return and stay in this hotel and I did in 2025. 0 regrets! The location is wonderful and the room is fantastic!! The reception was super friendly too! What i love about this boutique hotel is there is a lift and they provide carpark that is just a 1min walk away. Everything is super wonderful especially for the price. I highly recommend it to anyone who is driving and like peace and quietness :)

GGuest UserAs it's an all-wooden building, I was a bit concerned it might be old-fashioned or run-down before our visit. However, I was genuinely amazed the moment we stepped into the room. The delightful scent of wood immediately filled the air, coupled with a fantastic lake view. It was spotless, and the service was excellent. A special shout-out to the friendly staff member at the entrance; his attitude was superb! He not only helped with our luggage but also gave us a thorough introduction to the room (the boss should definitely give him a raise!). It was truly wonderful, and I definitely plan to revisit Sun Moon Lake and stay here again!

JJack Maa”For Non-Drivers: Navigating Transportation Can Be Tricky, but Exceptional Service and Spectacular Views Await”
If you don't have access to a car, be prepared for a few transportation challenges. Walking to and from the bus stop to Cing Jing Farm can be a bit challenging, as there are no dedicated pedestrian pathways, and you'll be sharing the road with trucks and lorries. The nearest 711 convenience store is a considerable distance away, and I wouldn't recommend walking there due to safety concerns.
On the plus side, the hotel's customer service is exceptional, particularly their prompt responses on LINE. They were incredibly helpful in answering my questions about navigating the sometimes confusing public transport system.
One of the standout features is the breathtaking view from the balcony. On clear days, you can enjoy unforgettable sunsets, making it a fantastic spot to relax. While some guests have mentioned concerns about sound insulation, I personally didn't find it to be a major issue. However, it's worth noting that noise from neighboring rooms, especially if there are children, maybe more noticeable due to the wooden floors.

KKuang yunThe hotel's facilities are excellent overall. There's a recreation room, so even if it's too hot to go out in summer, you won't get bored staying in the hotel all day. Bicycles are available for guests to borrow, and the breakfast spread is quite generous 👍.
We stayed in a deluxe lake view room this time, and the view was absolutely stunning. Waking up to that scenery made the stay completely worthwhile. The room also had a small balcony.
The only minor drawback is its distance from shopping, restaurants, and convenience stores. Since we didn't have our own transportation, we made sure to grab all our snacks and necessities from a convenience store before heading back to the hotel, which meant we didn't need to go out again in the evening. This proved to be no issue at all, though.
The hotel does provide a shuttle service to the shopping street; you can inquire about the schedule at the front desk. We absolutely loved our stay overall!

CCYY1111I booked Lake View Quad 1 Room 2 Nights. Inside the room two large double beds were placed side by side on one side of the room, leaving a small passage to place your luggages and to move within the room. The two beds were sufficient for 4 pax. But the beds were so close, there was no walking space between them. One can only get out of the bed via the foot of the bed. This is not ideal for senior people who may need to go to the toilet in the middle of the night. So if you are travelling with seniors, take the twin / double room instead. The savings is not worth it. Plus the room has really limited space for 4 adults to be moving around.
The plus point for this hotel is that it has an amazing view of the lake and there are many shops along the street. Do note that the walls are thin, you can hear your neighbours next door, especially if they sat at the balcony. There was no shower curtain so the whole toilet was wet after our shower. We didn't use the tub as it was not easy for the seniors to sit inside. No amenities except Shampoo and Body Soap.
