"We had a wonderful stay here and would absolutely recommend it. The staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming throughout, which really sets the tone for a place like this. Our room was large, comfortable and well-equipped, exactly what you want after a busy day. Cleanliness was spot on, no complaints there at all. Breakfast was really good quality, though slightly inconsistent. Some items appeared on the menu one day and not the next, and at busier times the staff were clearly a little stretched. A few extra hands at breakfast would make a big difference, but it’s a minor gripe in the grand scheme of things. We didn’t use the spa or pool during our visit, but both looked lovely and the spa prices seemed very reasonable for treatments, definitely something we’d take advantage of next time. The bar and public areas are beautifully decorated too, though as we were there for a group party with organised events, we didn’t really get a chance to make the most of them. The grounds are pretty and well-kept, and the location is ideal, just a few minutes’ walk from the town and the lake. All in all, a stunning place to stay. We’d happily come back."

"Stayed as part of bike tour in July 2023. Somewhat dated and not pro guest in terms of service. Indeed the member of staff on reception when we arrived bordered on hostile. Perhaps doing well enough in the absence of local competition but would advise staying here unless no other better options nearby."
