"We stayed at Accord Highland Hotel with family for 3 days and 2 nights. The stay and hospitality were fantastic. The food was delicious including breakfast. The restaurant manager Mr Manikandan and the team did a fabulous job. Everything is neat and clean. There are lots of outdoor and indoor activities. They are all very nice. Overall it was a fantastic experience staying at Accord."

"Overall, everything was good except for one issue. We had booked the hotel for 4 nights, but due to an unexpected emergency, we had to check out one night early. Unfortunately, the hotel management did not provide any refund for the unused night, which amounted to approximately RMB 1,500 (around ₹20,000). What disappointed me most was the management’s attitude regarding the cancellation request. I also submitted refund requests through Trip.com twice, but both were rejected. le the stay itself was satisfactory, the lack of flexibility and customer support in handling an emergency situation left a very negative impression."

"Had an absolutely wonderful anniversary stay here from 17th–19th April 2026. The property is beautiful, peaceful, and extremely well maintained. A special thanks to Monica from Guest Relations for her incredible hospitality — she truly made our stay extra special with her warmth, care, and amazing recommendations for local cafes and authentic shopping spots. The chefs were equally amazing and prepared delicious Jain meals and breakfasts specially for us throughout our stay. We also loved the evening tea tasting sessions and cozy bonfires — already missing them! Overall, a perfect experience and one of the most memorable stays we’ve had. Highly recommended to everyone visiting Ooty. Will definitely visit again!"

"Worst, horrible, pathetic experience total worst night! I am writing this review with lot of pain. We have been traveling on a vacation and after a pleasant stay at thekaddy club mahindra our next destination as per planned schedule being ooty, we reached club mahindra ooty derby, ***** with my wife and my mother in law and two kids my son just year and a month old. Though we had requested for studio as we were on waiting list we were alloted HU by the company and we had no knowledge about the structure of the HU as we have never been to such units, but after looking the size of the room and the step wooden elevated stairs towards our HU rooms just gave us shivers, that apart while my wife was getting down carrying our infant baby through the ancient pathetic stairs which connect our HU, she narrowly escaped a deadly fall twice so also my mother in law who is a senior citizen narrowly escaped a fall and accordingly we humbly requested front desk guy Mr.Danny if not both atleast one room can be upgraded to studio, for which he so politely gave a feedback saying on 27th itself it won't be possible, but on 28th as there are almost 60 check out he will try his best to upgrade to studio atleast one room or in the worst case scenario would give us HU room on ground floor. When on 28th may in the morning I went to inquire about the shifting one guy by name Praveen (local from tamil nadu) from the front desk outright refused with a weird and unbecoming behavior, upon asking as to why such a tone the said Praveen gave some filthy word to me at that moment Mr. Praveen was alone right in front of entry, the company can very well note from the cctv footage. We have taken to a shock with such kind of behavior on account of Mr.Praveen who bring bad reputation to the company and pathetic experience to the guest. We had very pleasant experience with Ms.Jenifer, Mr.Danny, and the one who who does compering for evening shows Mr.Faisal, also the security guy though with forget his name , all the above were very nice and jovial except Mr.Praveen who lacks etiquette and full of filth. Now if the property cant give one studio or in worst scenario cant even adjust with ground floor, somewhat we can understand with a pinch of pain, but such dastardly behavior shouldn't be tolerated. Overall experience pathetic and horrible. Disappointed and devastated to choose this property. The property on a whole is ok, the HU rooms upstairs are horrible and very risky if one is healthy and senior citizen please do avoid to book HU rooms here. Studio rooms no comments as we didn't get chance to see them. Totally dereliction in providing customer friendly service by ooty derby property of club mahindra!"

"Fabulous setting up on a hill about a 20 min walk down to the town(definitely get a rickshaw back). Didn’t realise we could order eggs for breakfast until our second morning (not offered them on the first morning). Cake at breakfast was yummy. Bathroom hadn’t been cleaned on arrival and there were splatters marks on the wall above the tea/coffee area. We also returned to our room late afternoon to find maintenance working on our balcony - did feel this could have been done after checkout! Fabulous shower. We ate in the restaurant one night and the food was very good. The high taxes in Tamil Nadu added to the price (almost 25%) so bear this in mind . Cocktails weee excellent. We did the morning ’hike’ which was well worth getting up for. We were brought a hot water bottle on our second night which was a lovely surprise. Tea & biscuits served between 5 & 5.30pm which was a nice touch although more of the breakfast cake would have been good. Would recommend staying here as rooms, location & restaurant are excellent."

The room was spacious, cozy, and perfectly maintained. The beautifully landscaped Sherlock gardens were a delight to explore, especially with family. Every corner of the property is picture-perfect and surrounded by nature. The food deserves special mention. The breakfast spread was exceptional, with a wide variety of delicious options that catered to everyone. We genuinely looked forward to breakfast each morning! "Please believe the bad reviews, we have regretted not believing them and booked this property at a crucial time and lost a lot of money. It's run by an elusive owner, very unpleasant and disrespectful about the guests. The property is managed by Amit, again, an extremely irresponsible, inexperienced person. It was our wedding in December, 2023. We booked the entire property for two nights, several months in advance. They knew we were booking it for our families to be in one place, and they also knew it was our wedding. We made the mistake of paying the entire amount in advance. We had no idea that the owners run these quack businesses to cheat people. We reached two days before the wedding day, and they decided to renovate, the entire front porch was broken and being redone. I didn't know what to do, we were two days away from our wedding and urgently needed an alternative. The rooms were smelling of mould and there was mould all over, under the bed, in the bathroom, literally in every room. It was impossible that our families of senior citizens could stay there. The shocking part was the downstairs rooms were smelling of pee and alcohol and I have no words to describe how dirty and unhygienic it was. Ooty has plenty of budget heritage properties and it's difficult to maintain them, we go to Ooty every year multiple times. And, we never stayed at the Red House because of the bad reviews. And, I still can't remember why we made such a bad decision of booking this place, but the mistake was made. We had to paid a huge amount and book a different place for our family last minute. I told Amit to cancel 3 rooms out of 6, and our vendors were accomodated there. Infact even our vendors had to be moved out the second night due to construction dust, unclean drinking water, mould and dirty linen. When we asked for refund (at least of the three rooms we cancelled), Amit agreed, because he knew exactly what he had done. He had so many months to prepare for our arrival, and they did nothing. But, the owners were so cheap, probably they don't have their own money and live off by cheating people, even their neighborhood residents spoke of the owners so badly, that they were very cheap and miserly. And clearly that was the case. I decided to file an FIR, money lost is one thing, but money lost in fraud is different. They decided to return a measly amount, and my husband just wanted the ordeal to end. So I let it go. I won't recommend this place but if you must stay here, you should know the truth and hopefully they learn their lesson through other guests. Lots of excellent properties like Smyrna, Lymond house, manor house etc, where they treat guests as humans, not as dumb tourists to fill their pockets."
