"The resort is huge and beautiful. One can always see a spectacular sunset. The place is covered with greenery. Rose garden, Sim's park and many more tourist attractions are near the resort. The rooms are very comfortable and lavish. All the amenities are available and if one needs more they can easily call and get their needs fulfilled quickly and hassle free. The hotel is very quiet and the environment is pleasant and soothing. The hotel is very clean and everything is in vintage style. Every penny you pay is worth it. Every staff member welcomes you with a lively smile and a will to help. Monica ma'am was very kind and she made our experience most memorable, and so did all the staff members."

"The hotel is new and there is ongoing development for 6 months. The facilities provided are good, even a common outdoor area will be a good place to hang around when ready. The only issue which needs attention is the ventilation, two premium rooms only have the ventilation fans, which keeps the room atmosphere fresh. The rest of the rooms do not have ventilation fans. Other than that, all employees are very professional and gentle, so all the praise for them."

"Hotel Preethi Classic Towers Ooty hotel is decent and located in the center of the city. We were 4 family members and took a Classic Premium which was very spacious with 01 double king size bed with 02 extra bed rooms with a City view. Will definitely recommend this category of room for larger families. The rooms are very spacious and top-notch with clean and newly made washroom and 24/7 hot water facility The hotel serves on excellent food so we enjoyed the Zuka Restaurant Food Dinner the having best signature dish daal Makhani with butter naan. Evening the Server in room traditional nilgiris products homemade chocolate with barkey which was famous in ooty. Morning buffet breakfast was outstanding. We stay 3 nights in ooty so we enjoyed our stay. I will recommend to all my family and friends. I am really happy with the given us service and make us comfortable. You can book your holiday with Hotel Preethi Classic Towers Ooty without any hesitation."

Bedding is small, there is an issue with the door lock, no ceiling fan, the parking is also an issue, basement is very low for a big car. Food is average. This is my honest review. It was clean, stylish, roomy with excellent service in where we had dinner. Food was good and great value for money and service was attentive and efficient. The Red House
"Please believe the bad reviews, we have regretted not believing them and booked this property at a crucial time and lost a lot of money. It's run by an elusive owner, very unpleasant and disrespectful about the guests. The property is managed by Amit, again, an extremely irresponsible, inexperienced person. It was our wedding in December, 2023. We booked the entire property for two nights, several months in advance. They knew we were booking it for our families to be in one place, and they also knew it was our wedding. We made the mistake of paying the entire amount in advance. We had no idea that the owners run these quack businesses to cheat people. We reached two days before the wedding day, and they decided to renovate, the entire front porch was broken and being redone. I didn't know what to do, we were two days away from our wedding and urgently needed an alternative. The rooms were smelling of mould and there was mould all over, under the bed, in the bathroom, literally in every room. It was impossible that our families of senior citizens could stay there. The shocking part was the downstairs rooms were smelling of pee and alcohol and I have no words to describe how dirty and unhygienic it was. Ooty has plenty of budget heritage properties and it's difficult to maintain them, we go to Ooty every year multiple times. And, we never stayed at the Red House because of the bad reviews. And, I still can't remember why we made such a bad decision of booking this place, but the mistake was made. We had to paid a huge amount and book a different place for our family last minute. I told Amit to cancel 3 rooms out of 6, and our vendors were accomodated there. Infact even our vendors had to be moved out the second night due to construction dust, unclean drinking water, mould and dirty linen. When we asked for refund (at least of the three rooms we cancelled), Amit agreed, because he knew exactly what he had done. He had so many months to prepare for our arrival, and they did nothing. But, the owners were so cheap, probably they don't have their own money and live off by cheating people, even their neighborhood residents spoke of the owners so badly, that they were very cheap and miserly. And clearly that was the case. I decided to file an FIR, money lost is one thing, but money lost in fraud is different. They decided to return a measly amount, and my husband just wanted the ordeal to end. So I let it go. I won't recommend this place but if you must stay here, you should know the truth and hopefully they learn their lesson through other guests. Lots of excellent properties like Smyrna, Lymond house, manor house etc, where they treat guests as humans, not as dumb tourists to fill their pockets."

"*) We stayed here in June 2026 and, overall, had a wonderful experience. The property is stunning, exceptionally well-maintained, and surrounded by beautiful greenery, making it a perfect place to unwind. *) The complimentary Ooty apples, soft drinks stocked in the refrigerator, jackfruit chips, and ample drinking water were thoughtful touches that made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. *) Our room was spacious, beautifully designed, and very comfortable. It included both a private balcony and a sit-out area, allowing us to fully enjoy the breathtaking views of the surrounding meadows and valleys. Watching clouds drift across the landscape was one of the highlights of our stay. *) The entire property is incredibly photogenic and "Instagram-worthy." The views from the restaurant are particularly spectacular, and the swimming pool was crystal clear and impeccably maintained. *) There are plenty of recreational options available, including outdoor games, swings, nature walks, evening Housie sessions, and several other activities, some complimentary and some paid. *) A common bonfire is lit every evening around 7:00 PM. During rainy weather, it is thoughtfully relocated closer to the reception area so guests can continue to enjoy it. *) The complimentary high tea served at 5:00 PM deserves special mention. After a long journey, it was exactly what we needed on the day of our arrival. The spread was surprisingly extensive, and everything was fresh, flavourful, and well-prepared. My mother still fondly remembers the Mirchi Pakodas and sandwiches served there. *) Breakfast was included in our package and featured an extensive spread with plenty of variety. The food was consistently delicious, and the restaurant staff were efficient, attentive, and quick to clear tables. *) We also tried the dinner buffet and were equally impressed with the quality and variety of dishes on offer. The only area that could use improvement is the dessert section, which would benefit from a wider selection of traditional Indian sweets. *) The hospitality throughout the property was outstanding. Most staff members were warm, courteous, and genuinely eager to help. Requests were handled promptly, and the service contributed significantly to the overall experience. *) Nature lovers will particularly appreciate this property. The lush gardens, abundant birdlife, and peaceful surroundings create a serene atmosphere. Waking up each morning to the sound of birds chirping was incredibly relaxing. *) Guests staying with drivers will be pleased to know that, according to our driver, complimentary accommodation and meals were provided, and he was quite satisfied with both. *) Hotel guests are also entitled to a 10% discount on the buffet, so it is worth asking about this when dining. Areas for Improvement: *) The reception experience was inconsistent. While check-in was efficient, the staff member assisting us seemed unfamiliar with several basic room features. For example, "

"Club Mahindra Derby Green, Ooty, is a beautiful heritage property that perfectly captures the old-world charm of the Nilgiris. The resort is well maintained, the rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the overall ambience makes for a relaxing holiday. What stood out most during my stay was the warmth and professionalism of the staff. I did face a few concerns during my visit, but they were handled promptly and effectively by Resort Manager Ravi and Chef Natarajan. Their hands-on approach, attention to detail, and genuine concern for guest satisfaction reflect the strong leadership at the resort. The food was a highlight of the stay. Chef Natarajan’s local specialties are exceptional. The Nilgiri Korma and Bun Parotta were absolutely delicious and gave us an authentic taste of the region. The breakfast buffet was consistently impressive, with dishes like Sambar, Upma, Medu Vada, Pongal, and freshly made Dosas being particularly enjoyable. Room service was equally good. We tried the Non-Veg Combo, and the portion size was huge—easily sufficient for two people. The food was flavourful, freshly prepared, and excellent value for money. Overall, Club Mahindra Derby Green offers a wonderful combination of heritage charm, comfortable accommodation, excellent food, and outstanding hospitality. Special thanks once again to Ravi and Chef Natarajan for making our stay memorable. I look forward to visiting again."
