Room facilities have everything, the overall cleanliness is very satisfactory, suitable for groups of five to six people, there is a supermarket nearby, it is convenient to cook by yourself, and it is very close to the surrounding attractions of Meilu by car. Great location, 5 minutes walk to the Biei Station. Room is clean, spacious and comfortable. There is a balcony for our room, not sure if it provided in other rooms though. Breakfast serves in buffet style, though the choices are simple. They taste good and really appreciate they used local food from Biei to serve guests. Staff are helpful and friendly as well. One of the highlights is there is a souvenir shop connecting to the hotel, selling local farm products and specialised souvenirs. One downside is there are not many restaurant in the town, and the opening hour is short, so there may not be many choices for guests to choose for lunch/dinner. The convenience stores and supermarket is at least 10 minutes walk from hotel. Overall the experience is Hotel Lavenir is great and satisfactory. I really like this hotel, will definitely stay in this hotel again if I visit Biei again.

My favorite place this time is Meijuan. The off-season is very quiet with few people. The homestay is small and beautiful. The breakfast made by yuki sauce is very delicious. The bicycle makes me perfect to see the sunset and sunrise. There is no convenience store nearby, so it is recommended to replenish food near the station before coming. Come back next time.

A Convenient and Comfortable Retreat There are 4 units in this building. One parking slot per unit is provided at the corner near unit 101. This apartment offers a truly practical and comfortable base for exploring the area. We really appreciated the thoughtful touches, like the basic utensils and cutlery for easy meal prep, and the welcome inclusion of instant slippers, toothbrushes, and toothpaste. The microwave was also super handy for quick snacks and reheats. Comfort is well-managed with one air-conditioner that kept the unit at a pleasant temperature throughout our stay. The washing machine was a huge plus, and we found the designated drying area right above it in the toilet very efficient. The separate dining table was also a nice touch, providing a comfortable space for meals. 2 dryers are outside the building. With two double beds, this unit is well-suited for small groups or families. We also enjoyed being able to link our Netflix account to the TV, which was great for unwinding in the evenings . Things to Note About the Location The apartment is located in a quiet neighborhood, offering a peaceful atmosphere. While there aren't many eateries directly nearby, there are two convenience stores within easy reach. Do keep in mind that local supermarkets tend to close around 7 PM, so plan accordingly for groceries. We found the area to be quite pleasant for getting around, with not many cars on the road. This makes it particularly fun to explore the town by bicycle, and there are several bicycle rental stores available if you're keen to pedal around.

Very good value, including two meals, the ingredients are prepared by the proprietress herself. The boss also drove us to the jr station in the morning. The room was very warm and took a lot of photos. When we used to walk for about 40 minutes, it is recommended to take a taxi. The surrounding area is very deserted. Cool Meixuan is a fairy tale town

First, the positives: it's a standalone two-story house, very easy to find, and less than a 10-minute walk from the train station. There's a vending machine outside, and a 7-Eleven and a restaurant nearby, both excellent. The room cleanliness meets Japanese standards. The first floor has a living room, kitchen, toilet, and bathroom, plus an extra tatami room. The kitchen is fully equipped with pots, pans, and condiments, perfect for self-catering. All accommodation is on the second floor, with three rooms, each sleeping two people (the three rooms are pretty much as pictured). Now for some suggestions for improvement: there's no toilet or shower on the second floor, so you have to go downstairs at night, which is inconvenient and poses a safety risk. Secondly, if the house is fully occupied with 6 people, one toilet is definitely not enough. Also, as shown in the pictures, the bedrooms don't block out light in the morning, so you're woken up by the sun very early. Additionally, I'm not sure if it's because the mattresses and duvet covers are new, but there's a renovation smell in the bedrooms, a stark contrast to the first floor. It takes some getting used to when sleeping at night.

The hotel description did not capture the situation enough. I was confused due to lack of room pictures. They also posted several listing for different rooms under different hotel name section. But this room is perfect for us. The location is a bit far (if you are not used to walking) from the station but it is only around 7-9 minutes walking. The surrounding area is a quiet neighborhood. The building is new and very clean. It was also warm inside even when the weather forecast said -14 celcius outside. The japanese food they served was also very good. They provided free coffee/tea and water in common area. They also let us lent their microwave. The bathroom is only one but very clean and comfy. The room has its own mini fridge, ac, and tv. If you are wondering where to stay in Biei, I definitely recommend this place.
