"Location: This used to be an incredible property when first built due to its direct access to a beautifully maintained beach. Since the hideous 'New Marine Drive' has been built, the access to the beach is now across a busy road. In addition, the beach is overcrowded with people and with camel rides ruining what used to be a peaceful beach. The property is easily accessible to the temple and other main sites. Property: The property itself remains very nice and despite its age, amd obvious wear and tear over the years, retains it grandeur and beauty. Apart from minor issues related to some fittings and fixtures which could be replaced, some bathrooms do face some drainage issues which need to be looked at urgently. The swimming pool, the mature gardens and the overall ambience of the place remains quite fantastic. Services: The staff are exceptional. They are friendly, helpful and hard working. The food is excellent, especially the fresh sea food. The staff are very happy to recommend from the menu. The breakfast is pretty good. Overall, the property remains one of the best in Puri. However, as is typical of a number of places in India, so called 'development' has ruined Puri as a beach resort forever."
