Although the linen was clean and comfortable, the room itself was not clean and had a lot of dust. There were spider webs everywhere and even more so under the tables, in the showers, and in the bathroom. This was quite jarring as you’d expect that they should have cleaned the room when replacing the linen etc. "

The 'Explorers Club' not only keep the children busy for hours, but it also teaches them a lot. A very unique initiative by Dream Resorts! I loved all the activities. The lake barge cruise is amazing! Not a lot of places in SA has a lake, hiking trails and wildlife. Service is great! The staff is highly trained, friendly and professional. You can expect service from the moment you enter the premises. The food is out of this world and the restaurant well managed! Highly recommendable"

It is worth noting that the hotel doesn't offer any food or drinks other than breakfast, so you better come prepared or go out for dinner. We definitely found our place for future visits. Thank you!"

"We had the best time at Woodland Gardens and would recommend it to anyone looking for a getaway weekend! The owners were so eager and communicative--you could tell this was a passion project and they were truly invested in the quality of our stay. They were super helpful with ideas of what to do for the weekend, and even helped to have the gate unlocked for our 3:15am departure for a sunrise game drive. Speaking of the gate, we felt super safe and enclosed the whole time, even though the location was right off the road. It was the perfect combination of convenience and remote-ness. We would definitely stay here again :)"

Everything worked perfectly and the beds were excellent. Cleanliness: Top notch. Our room and all common areas were spotless every day. Food: Fresh, tasty, and good variety at every meal. We especially enjoyed the breakfast and dinner service. Staff: The General Manager and the Manager went above and beyond to make our stay smooth. They were professional, warm, and sorted out every request quickly. The whole team was friendly and attentive. We felt genuinely looked after from check in to check out. "Stayed there a short week. Constant power black outs. We had an a/c that leaked on the floor after a few minutes, leaving a pool of water on the entire floor. Furthermore, there were falling small hairy caterpillars on our bed from the roof multiple times a day (probably the accomodation connot do a lot about that but it happened). The accomodation is quite isolated. The food in the restaurant was sometimes still raw. Not the experience we wished for and definitely not worth the money. Better places to find in the area."
