"Very good A historic castle hotel, not very expensive, located in Coventry, near the Peak District, not far from London, Manchester, and Newcastle The rooms are like rooms in a castle, and it feels like living in Downton Abbey (the filming location of Downton is actually within 100km). The decoration in the room is a bit old, and the hand-pull toilet feels like going back to the 90s. The public area is like a museum, all authentic British style, and any photo taken is quite good. I had dinner there, which was very good. In short, if you want to experience castles or monasteries in the UK, this is the best choice"

"I enjoyed the location of the hotel, it was really clean and tidy the room was beautiful with a view of the local bus station on its doorstep also BBC Coventry radio behind the hotel. The room was spacious with all accessories we needed. Could've done with a wet room as me and my partner are disabled but because its a family room its expected to have a bath with shower head over the bath. We was on the 4th floor with lift nearby"

"The room was great; it had all the basics. However, the lift feels like it needs some maintenance. The check-in and check-out process was smooth. If you book directly, you can get free parking; otherwise, it’s £5 per day. They offer free apples and water in the lobby, but I wish they would keep the apples topped up, as some of them were bruised and looked old."

"We were allocated room on ground floor, unfortunately the bathroom is only bathtub. There is no shower at all. The staff did not know about this when we report it. Internet is fast. The bed is okay. The room is smell like someone had a smoking before and not treated properly."

"It was an excellent stay at Scarman for me. The room I stayed in was clean, quiet and spacious. The staff were friendly and helpful. This hotel has a good range of food for breakfast and the selection of food for lunch & dinner was not huge but the food was delicious. I went to the University of Warwick to attend my son's graduation which the venue for the ceremony was within walking distance. To sum up, I am impressed with this hotel and will definitely stay here again."

"It was a nice big room, the bed with four-poster. The receptionists were doing their job properly. We only stayed one night, did not use all the facilities, such as bar, swimming or gym which there were available, only the restaurant. The bed is too soft, my husband was sank into it. He did not have a good night sleep."
