Nemu Resort Hotel Nemu【Reopening on April 18, 2026】 ★★★★★
"The hotel is clean and the service is polite. The breakfast is delicious, using local ingredients. The hot spring water is from the source, and the pearl hot spring water. The drinks after the bath and the coffee in the lounge are delicious. The grounds are spacious and there are plenty of activities to enjoy. The free tour to watch the sunset and the stargazing where you can hear explanations about the stars while holding a laser up to the stars were great. You can see Venus, Jupiter, Mars, and the Pleiades star cluster with the naked eye. I would like to go back in the warmer months. The hotel was quite warm and comfortable even in winter."
Quintessa Hotel Iseshima ★★★
"The large public bath was only used by day-trippers, so even though I waited in the bathtub the whole time, I couldn't get into the sauna. During the hours when overnight guests were staying, the noisy regulars and the feeling of being out of place made the large public bath pointless."
Shima Kanko Hotel the Classic ★★★★★
"First-class service, making you feel at home everywhere. From 19:00 to 22:00, in the comfortable environment on the second floor, you can enjoy snacks, drinks and cocktails. The breakfast is quite exquisite, and the tableware and furnishings are very exquisite. There are Western and Japanese options. People can't help but be in France, looking out the window elegantly and enjoying delicious meals"
Miyako Resort Shima Bayside Terrace ★★★★★
"Wonderful. Everything is beautiful. I was glad that breakfast wasn't a buffet. I'd like to stay here again."
Kashikojima Hotel Bay Garden ★★★
"The room is very large and very clean! The service is very good, it feels like home, and it is the best value for money on the island. Highly recommended"
Ooedo Onsen Monogatari Premium Iseshima ★★★★
"It was my first family trip in a long time, and the hot spring water was great. The dinner, especially the breakfast, was even better than I expected. It was a very satisfying trip, and I'm looking forward to coming again. I highly recommend it."
Hotel Shima Spain Mura ★★★
"The hotel was crowded during check-in due to a marathon, but the courteous service from the front desk staff left a very positive impression. I will definitely come again next year."
Kashikojima no Yado Michishio ★★★
"We arrived early on the day of check-in and waited briefly in the lobby before being escorted to our room around 3:00. We were given a large twin room with tatami mats. While the furniture was a bit worn, it was very clean. The air conditioner was a Daikin brand and looked brand new. The staff, though not very numerous, were very helpful. Breakfast was a Japanese set menu delivered to the room. Kashikojima Station is less than a ten-minute walk away, and the hotel offers a morning shuttle service. Kashikojima gradually becomes quiet around 5:00 or 6:00, and restaurants and convenience stores at the station close by 6:00. We didn't book dinner at the hotel, so we took the train two stops later to eat."
Haifu ★★★★
"This trip was a family trip with my family of four. I have been to Mie Prefecture several times in the past, but I always stayed in Toba or Osatsu, so this was the first time I went all the way to Shima. The inn I chose for this trip was "Haifu", a hotel on the remote island of Wataranoshima, where all rooms have an ocean view open-air bath. Actually, this "Haifu" was a hotel that I had been very interested in when I was looking at other accommodations when I stayed in Mie Prefecture in the past. However, I thought it was a bit far to go to Shima, so I didn't make a reservation, so I chose it as my accommodation this time. It was such a long-awaited "Haifu", and in conclusion, staying there was a great decision! First, when we arrived at the parking lot of the inn, we were guided to the nearby pier, and from there we boarded a private ferry to the inn on the remote island across the shore. At this point, there was a sense of excitement that I didn't get at other inns, and my children were very happy. The whole facility was very clean, and there is a large public bath between the inn and its sister inn, Fukujuso, next door. The corridor connecting the two was very tasteful, and there was a beautiful garden, so it had a very nice atmosphere. This time we stayed in a 12.5 tatami room, which was spacious, very clean, and comfortable. We could see the ocean from the room, and there was a large private open-air bath on the balcony of the room. It was great to be able to enjoy the open-air hot spring bath while looking at the ocean whenever we wanted, and we took a bath both at night and in the morning. Also, meals were served at the restaurant, and dinner was served as a course, but the sashimi, soup, fish dishes, and meat dishes were all very delicious, and the children were very happy to eat. In this course, we had a plan to prepare a private room for dinner and breakfast, so it was very nice that the children could play there if they got bored. This time we only stayed one night, so we checked out the next day, but next time we would like to stay for a few days and explore the island. Thank you for a wonderful time."

Kashikojima Hojoen
"Highly recommended for couples to come together and enjoy this idyllic paradise."
The Hiramatsu Hotels & Resorts Kashikojima
"A hotel costing 10,000 yuan a night, with so many bugs, terrible service, and awful food. Extremely disappointed. This hotel is poorly managed, heavily in debt, and just relies on its past reputation to lure guests in; they treat every customer as a chance, caring little about the hotel's survival. The bread for dinner was frozen; the chef has probably already run away."
Fiore Shima
"Welcoming and friendly hotel staff, we enjoyed a special sakura event night at the resort : ) The log house is comfortable and good enuf for our family! Would love to visit again next time!"
Tabist Hotel Villa Daioh Resort Ise-Shima
"The environment is tranquil and filled with the fragrance of nature. It's a bit far from the city center, making it more suitable for those traveling by car. The rooms are clean and spacious, ideal for families and couples."
Ooedo Onsen Monogatari Premium Shima Saichoraku
"Great view! But the hotel cannot check in one minute earlier, have to wait in the lobby even after cleaning is done. I don't understand, the guests are tired..."
Bishoku No Kakurega Provence
Tabist Chunichi Business Hotel Shima
"The shower water only trickles out when you turn on the hot water. Not suitable for the middle of winter. Large cockroaches appear. The stairs go up to the 4th floor, and the lobby and corridors are extremely hot."
Therapy Resort Ise Shima
"Although the hotel is several decades old, it has been renovated and has brand-new facilities. Now run by a couple, their dinners and breakfasts are excellent and highly recommended. All rooms face the sea, allowing you to watch the sunrise from your room. The windows are well-insulated, so you don't have to worry about the sound of the waves disturbing your sleep. While the onsen (hot spring) isn't large, the open-air bath also faces the sea with stunning views!"
Tomoyama Kanko Hotel
"I think it was better than the reviews said. We brought our pet with us so we stayed in a pet-friendly accommodation. There was no particular smell and it was spacious, so both our dog and we were able to relax very well. Dinner was very satisfying, with a large portion and a wide variety of dishes. I'd like to come again if I have the opportunity. Thank you very much."
