"Tis is the first negative review I’ve left but the hotel description was very misleading. Our stay was unfortunately quite disappointing. Positives were the hotel had a great view and the pool and breakfast were excellent. The hotel was not in good shape. It was very run down, both out rooms were not clean on arrival: there was urine on the toilet seat and tons of dirt on the floor, the lock on the patio doors was broken, the safe didn’t work, and the shower railing was loose. On one of the days when we returned to the hotel we had no towels after it had been cleaned and it took several hours for us to get some to shower with - this was surprising as it was off peak and the hotel was quite empty."

"We enjoyed the Baliyana Lodge very much. The owners were very friendly and pleasant people and they put their personal touch into making our stay a wonderful experience. The breakfasts were amazing. The cabin was private and beautiful and we slept well in a comfortable bed. The infinity pool overlooking the mountain forest was breathtaking. Amazing wildlife all around in this peaceful setting. The drive was its own experience as the roads were heavily damaged by the rains, but the Baliyana Lodge was well worth it. Highly recommend - a perfect 10 experience!"

"I came to Costa Rica to celebrate my birthday and picked the perfect place to stay here at the House of Nomad. The staff were friendly and Veronika always asked or made sure I had everything I needed. I requested a driver to and from the airport and he was on time and courteous. Communication was great for getting directions, dining recommendations and I felt special on my birthday! My room was very clean and had everything I needed for my stay and the mattress felt great! The pool is open 24/7 and depending on when you decide to swim you may have it all to yourself. The atmosphere felt like I was on a separate island away from the rest of Tamarindo once I entered the gate. There is an area by the pool with a toaster, teas, and you can refill your water bottles. I would recommend a stay here for the hospitality, safety, and comfort to my family and friends. You will not be disappointed!"

"The Hotel Boruca is an older hotel, but very well maintained. The rooms and premises were clean. A highlight of our stay was the excellent and friendly service of the manager/owner Marascio, the breakfast waitress, and the waiters in the restaurant. Speaking of food, the breakfasts were delicious--and oh how wonderful the food was in the restaurant. The hotel is located close to a grocery store, banks, and the beach. We enjoyed our stay there and would recommend the Hotel Boruca to others."

"An exceptional property that perfectly balances chic, contemporary design with a warm, cozy ambiance. The service is consistently outstanding—attentive without being intrusive—and the location is ideal for exploring the area. Very flexible options to stay with family since it has regular rooms, one bedroom and 2 bedroom suites equipped with small kitchen and living room area. Great walk out balcony in very peaceful setting but just meters away from the fun Tamarindo main street full of restaurant options and entertainment. Noise level is super low. Very relaxing. Everything is brand new! Staff is extraordinary. Tony was fabulous! The kids and I really enjoyed our time there and hope to return soon! Keep an eye out for the fabulous Beach Club that will be a wonderful addition to this property."
